Actually in real race if I would have gotten a penalty which is obviously possible, I would have gotten 5 second penalty for not leaving space. And this is 5 seconds in a 44 lap race, not 5 lap race. In addition there is a lot of things adjusted out of FIA regulations in the game, for example race duration, so if those can be adjusted so can the penalties. The argument you made imo is void.

Another example how people just don't brake to first corner and try to slow down enough by ramming you in first corner, this time it didn't work but you can clearly see whats the attitude there. https://youtu.be/XsFZqWS7le0

Unfrotunately no I can't give a replay from other angles as it is a ranked qualifying and replays aren't on. This is footage of nvidia instant replay. Sure game can't replicate stewarding, but the track limits can replicate the rules about having 1 wheel inside track is acceptable. Having different track limits than the actual tracks have is just confusing and weird in a game that's trying to simulate F1

Sure I can see the point you are making. However the issue is on the penalty more than it's on the actual incident. Me getting 10 seconds for that in a 5 lap race is just insane.

Here is a video when a guy tries to overtake me with force when there was no space for the overtake. He then pushes me out of track got only a warning and I got 10 second penalty for "cutting corners"

The games track limits are not correct. To follow up a quote from reddit about FIA rules concerning track limits and exceeding them "As for track limits in F1 - rule of a thumb is that you need to be in contact with a track at all times with at least one wheel. While lines still count as a race track. However there are exceptions." So here is a video I made to illustrate the issue. https://youtu.be/65czurVQ_vY

Here's some more. This time around I spin thanks to guy ramming his car into me for 4 consecutive times and trying rejoin track I get disqualified... It's insane how stupid the penalty system is.

Here is a link to a youtube video just made about the subject. Here we can see the car in front clearly playing dirty. https://youtu.be/DH0BLI7Iqy0

Now that I have tried my best to not to cause incidents and reached S grade Safety Rating all the lobbies are empty. It's a bad tradeoff. If you want to have good races without people who just ram each other you are facing empty lobbies thanks to your safety grading. In a sense driving safely is actually penalized the way ranked lobbies work at the moment.

There are just way too many player who lack the pace or skill to compete fairly so they ram their car into yours hoping you will crash and they will not and this completely ruins ranked gameplay experience. People who can't drive causing crashes on purpose.

Sometimes when you use manual gearing there occurs a bug which leaves you at neutral gear at start of the race instead of going to 1 and starting properly. This occurs in singleplayer and multiplayer. At the start of the race everyone else sends off and you are stuck at your grid place with engine revving neutral gear.

Could we get access to settings in ranked lobbies
Lexei1992 replied to Lexei1992's topic in Suggestions
The waiting time in a ranked lobby is perfect time to change settings on your wheels force feedback or other general setting such as graphics etc. -
The topic kinda exlplains it.

Okay that explains it a bit. Still however if you do use assists you might lose let's say a second per lap. 5 laps thats 5 seconds. Single mistake made without assists costs minimum of 30 seconds or the entire race. The trade off isn't balanced imo. Using assists should penalize more than they currently do if they need to exist in a game mode where skill is on the test not program automation.
