  1. Heyo Codies! As a long time fan, I've always played and enjoyed the games a ton. Fortunately for me, I can enjoy the game well in its original language, english, but at times I like switching to Portuguese (BR) which is my native language. Unfortunately, year after year the translation to Brazilian Portuguese comes with several typos and some words that literally dont translate well (like the display of pit stop time on the hud translating "stop time" as a command to literally stop the running of time, like a spell, not the time spent on the stop). I know this is most likely an issue with the studio hired for the task, but I did wish I could help with reviewing the translation and pointing out some of those typos to help out my fellow Brazilian gamers who enjoy F1 2020. Is there any way I can do that?

    Flexible Race Calendar

    I suppose they run into licensing issues with the Grand Prix names, the dates on the podium and such, but that would be a neat addition. I've been playing WRC 8 and it does that, at least in the WRC2 classes. For each season, a few events are swapped places, making seasons a bit different from one another.
  3. So, I know this part of the forum often has users commenting on features of the game, things they'd like to see or that they dislike about the game. And just as much, we all know F1 is not perfect - not the RL sport nor the game - and there are lots that could be made better, but at the same time I feel like CM doesn't get enough praise for the things they get right in the game. Sure there are awards and reviews, but I felt it would be no harm to toss a topic over here as well. I've been playing F1 games for decades, from Sega Genesis games to the often-well remembered Grand Prix series by Geoff Crammond. PS1, PS2 games, and so on. And over all these years, many games have tried to recreate different aspects of the sport, from the physics to the TV-style presentation, the circuits, everything. And although I'm aware of the shortcomings of the medium, I have to say the current breed of F1 games really offers me what I want the most from the genre: booting up the game, loading up a championship season and going on gruelling long races against an AI that drives kind of like the real drivers would. I'm not one for Career modes or Multiplayer racing. My main focus is in championship modes, racing against drivers based on their RL selves, on RL cars. And on that, I can't praise CM enough for making a pretty consistent, solid experience for me. F1 2020 in particular has encouraged me to try several different combos of cars and tracks with those daily/seasonal challenges with their little rewards. Whenever I open the game, I always check that tab and come up with a different race under different conditions. That led me to try all the cars in the game, pretty much every track, and that has revealed the things I like the MOST about F1 2020. - The amount of content is great. The cars, the tracks, the daily challenges, the classic stuff. Often people say I could move to some other sim, just having to download thousands of mods to get all the tracks and cars right. I like doing that, sure, but at the end of a long work day, I just want some hours behind the wheel at times, you know. - The AI is not perfect, but boy does it put up some nice fights. Side by side over several corners, undercutting, and a general steady, solid pace. Coming from other race games which often have stuff like rubberbanding or way-too-often random crashes and spins, I really have to push myself to beat them. - Weather. Say what you will about physics, or how iRacing and AC are better sims or whatever, but nothing beats getting into a race completely unsure of how it's going to pan out. Weather forming up, threats of rain, sun suddenly popping from between the clouds. The atmosphere it gives to some races is amazing, and it often reminds me of my own experience at the racetrack, looking up and trying to guess what will come next - Graphically speaking, the game runs great on my years-old machine, whereas others like WRC, AC often have me dialing down the graphics to get a decent experience. There are lots of tiny details I love, the hand animations on the wheel, the rain effects, the late-afternoon lighting as you get closer to the end of a long race. Like I said, I know fans are often the most critical when it comes to talking about the game they play. And I do have my tons of criticisms and suggestions, things I'd love to see (or that I would love to have removed). But hey, these are super tough times, 2020 has proven to be a most challenging year for a number of causes, and yet I got a game that's been helping me cope with some of it by really providing me with great, absolutely great racing action. I guess I just really wanted to say that, among this sea of topics in this forum, that I hope the devs know they made a game that keeps some dude from South America happy af. Thanks Codies.

    How does custom car perform in TT?

    Whenever I look at the timetables I skip the first ones that definitely seem cheated and compare setups with folks like the drivers from the esports league. I know in some tracks some of them have set their times with the Custom Car, so I'd definitely say it's not mega far off from a good performance.

    Definitely on board with this one. The time trial mode is focused on hotlapping, with the optimal conditions and everything. That would definitely help in setting up the car or learning more about the different dynamics of car wear.

    Ferrari F1-2000 Traction Control

    A suggestion for a very small, simple fix regarding the F1-2000. I know you devs have way more relevant things to care about in the game but if that helps a bit, maybe it's just something that was overlooked a bit, probably! The traction control was reimplemented in F1 midway through the 2001 season, which means the Ferrari F1-2000 still didn't feature TC. Yet, in the game it does make that sound effect and TC effect as seen in the other cars from the first half of the decade. That comment aside, I'd like to thank the team for including such a great car in the game! I love driving it, and it does bring me good memories both of real F1 and my time playing the 2000 season games from that era, which, of course, were not as lifelike haha

  8. Hello everyone! Raf here, reporting a bug that should be easy to replicate. It's super minor stuff, but maybe that could prove useful for the team in anything they might be working on. As always, thanks for the awesome game, Codies <3. Here are the details: A detailed description of the issue. Please include any error codes here. During a cloudy race, I paused the game and alt-tabbed to my desktop. After coming back to the game, the weather was clear and bright, but after a few seconds driving, it came back to the previous cloudy state. Platform. PC Steam What version of the game you are using (Shown on the start screen in the bottom left corner of the screen) 1.08 Game-mode? Championship mode, 2019 F2, 7th round (Silverstone), full-length race We need to be able to make your problem happen internally so we can fix the issue. Can you make the problem happen again? Yes. Just need changing cloudy skies. How do you make the problem happen? During a cloudy race (weather in random conditions), pause the game, switch to another window on Windows, then back to the game. What troubleshooting have you attempted? Please always try to attempt to fix the issue . Not a game bug that affects gameplay, so no troubleshooting other than keeping driving. What peripherals are you are using (gamepad, wheel make & model etc) Logitech G920 wheel. Any screenshots or video of the issue? If the video is long, please include a timestamp for when the issue appears Link to the video: It's particularly easy to notice on the sides of the car, where the grey reflection turns blue after coming back to the game.
