yeah I follow Steve Hood as well

yeah I've preordered Grid Autosport too the more I see of it the more I like I'm liking that it seems that CM have put a lot of effort into the career mode this time around. I just hope the F1 team have been taking notes because they're in danger of getting left behind unless we see some improvement in that game too especially given the number of driving games coming out at the end of the year this year. F1 2014 needs to show improvements on it's predecessors and fast. Otherwise just as Mercedes have done with the rest of the F1 field they'll be left behind in the tyre smoke

I think most of us have twitter accounts yes but I usually like to keep mine for following people I'm interested in

if this is Autosport question then really it should be in the Grid section this is the F1 section basically the best way to start any race is basically try to hit the right amount of revs and try your best to anticipate when the lights go out or green light comes on but I think Autosport has a countdown timer to it's races though so that should make it easier.

Heads Up . . . I pre-ordered at Game UK some weeks ago for £34.99 [Black Edition] and cancelled a couple of days ago. I see that the PC version is now £29.99. Pre-ordered on Steam for £26.99 [£29.99 - £3 for owning Grid 2] . . .but will it be the "Black" edition ? . . thing is, the "Black" edition isn't available on Steam for pre-order ? ~:> What do we do now Cap'n? :p I thought Loore might have jumped in to clarify this "Black" edition mystery . . The pre-order at Game UK is the Black edition, the pre-order at Amazon seems to be a standard edition, the pre-order at Steam doesn't say, but also doesn't give the choice, Loore is giving Rastus a free copy because of his generosity in giving Miatakias a load of stuff to build a new gaming computer, but he only assumes it will be the Black edition . . . So what is the deal with Steam ??? ~O) well @Loore is busy this week at E3 so at the moment so we can't really expect him to reply just yet. I've gone with the standard edition because things like they have in the Black edition are only useful if you play online really which I don't. I think there's enough content though in the standard edition anyway to keep me busy for ages as I'm really looking forward to working through the career mode on this game. Truth be told, I'm not that bothered which version as apart from one free car I use my own skins on the cars so don't need what is in the package . . . ~O) same here I'm mostly interested in the career mode really and the idea of working my way up through each discipline and taking part in the various different championships would be good to have like a mini Indy 500 too with the Indycars and Indianapolis in there. Would be surprised if there isn't a Indy 500 type race in the career mode somewhere anyway. Given both are part of the game at least. I'm a little disappointed that the punters haven't made more comments about the inclusion of Bathurst ? . . this one has been asked for, for years and is now in the game. If it is anything like the one we have in Pcars it could be as popular as Spa . . .luvverly track . . ~O) yeah I'm just glad 3 of my favourite tracks from F1 are in there in Hockenheim Abu Dhabi and Sepang love racing on all 3 of them and Sepang's looking great at night as well. Never driven any of these tracks at night with the exception of Abu Dhabi but racing them at night in the Endurance series definitely intrigues me. Have to be honest and say they've picked a good group of tracks even that Autosport raceway they designed looks good.

Should future GRID games use real-life championships or made-up ones?
sjsharp2010 replied to VirtuaIceMan's topic in General Discussion
As for the new cups in the future, I know the answer to how the DLC works but I can't check if I'm allowed to tell you with @loore as he's in LA. I wouldn't want to jump the gun and mess up an announcement he had planned. As for the original posts point about having lots of licences for things like the BTCC, WTCC, Formula 3, DTM and whatever else I've missed off the list in one game is of course something we would love to do (how awesome would that game be??). The reality of it is that many of the sports promoters want a game to themselves, they don't want to share a pack with somebody they consider their competition. Its not the case with all of them and I'm not naming names but over time we're hoping that they'll come around to our way of thinking. Here's to hoping :D -
Does the pc preview build include the high res dlc?
sjsharp2010 replied to Yellowpinkie's topic in General Discussion
Not sure off the top of my head, I can find out if you want tomorrow though? Being totally honest even if it does that build is so old now it wouldn't matter, the games had so much more extra polish applied it since the preview build which must be pushing 2 months old now. I think it would be interesting to know certainly but got to say the games looking great if the vids are anything to go by anyway certainly the Endurance night time races look excellent anyway -

they already have the F21 series so they don't need to do that plus the indycars in the game are powered by similar engines to F1 as basically indycar is more or less an American version of F1 at least that's how I see it anyway -
who's to say he's not watching it already :p

How important do you think Setup's will be?
sjsharp2010 replied to mikevoltz1's topic in General Discussion
The F1 games aer different though as you have to prepare for the possibility of a change in weather as things like being sunny one minute and chucking it down the next can happen in those games and using the weather forecasts and you can plan accordingly. Autosport doesn't have a dynamic weather system so I don't think it'll be needed. Happened to me yesterday racing in Brazil unfortunately it cost me the race. I had planned for the wet weather as the game said 40% chance of rain but it didn't come till the second to last lap and I thought I could get to the end without it impacting me but I got it wrong still was a fun race though -

settings aer there if you want them you don't have to use them they're more for getting the car comfortable with your driving style it won't necessarily improve your times I think that's what @Loore is saying here it's the upgrades that the team gives you that wil give you any boosr in performance if anything assuming they do that is as different teams have different options I think -
Does the pc preview build include the high res dlc?
sjsharp2010 replied to Yellowpinkie's topic in General Discussion
Just to answer your question some of the earlier builds didn't while some of the newer ones do. Would be tough to say from for sure depends when they were creating the videos. thanks for your reply. There's more than one build being previewed at the moment then? Do you know who's got the newest one? We've had 3 builds that people might be capturing from, Announce, Preview and Review (though they shouldn't be capturing from review because thats embargoed) I'd say the magazine ones must be the preview given it is essentially called a preview build then -
While F1 2013 may not have been up to the standards set by it's predecessors. I wouldn't exactly call it a bug feat but I hope lessons have been learnt and 2014 sets a new higher standard for F1 games

yeah it looks good but I again I think it depends on the engine it's running on and what the developers see as their priority -
so would I but this is the question Alonso has to ask himself I think if he wants a real shot of at least 1 more title before he retires that's his best option because I don't think he'll get it hanging around at Ferrari right now. The only other possible option would be maybe Lotus but he'd need to bring some money to the table in order to make it happen though and take Maldonado's seat. The one thing in his favour here is he knows the people there given it's still moer or less his former Renault team. I think the move back to McLaren is the more likely to happen it's just a question of whether he'd be comfortable making that move
-
I agree with that too the only question would be whether Alonso could put his past disagreements with them behind him because if he can't then it won't look good for him

As I said that's why I'm on the fence really I'd love to see it but I wouldn't want CM to bankrupt themselves to get it especially as they're already shelling a lot out to get the F1 license you can justify F1 as it's the pinnacle motorsport. I don' t want to belittle the other racing disciplines as every single discipline is great in it's own way but they're not at the same level as F1 and I doubt any of them will ever be. -

Grid Autosport: Will those end game cheat codes be returning from Grid 1?
sjsharp2010 replied to MLPDiamondheart's topic in General Discussion
is that a yes then Lee? Ninja mode was not a cheat mode but the highest level of difficulty, well more fun than cheat stuff imo. Is there will be a ninja mode too in GAS Lee ? well I never played Ninja mode as I struggled just to cope with the bottom difficulty most of the time -
Wishlist for GRID: Autosport/What cars/tracks do you want to see in Autosport?
sjsharp2010 replied to RevolverOcelot's topic in General Discussion
I never progressed far enouh to ggive this a go but yeah I heard about it. I couldn't see myself doing a full 24 hours though. I struggle to just about do the 100% F1 races when I do them on my F1 games as normally I stick at 25% when in career mode I also stick at 25%, but is more because I usually make about 2-3 race-ruining mistakes which I rewind withing that 25%. I would never be able to finish a 50% race in one piece since flashbacks in F1 are limited to 4. Glad the flashbacks in GAS are unlimited :) I think in 2013 they regenerate after a while if you can avoid using them but then I struggle full stop on that game just about to start my last season on my latest 2012 career though won 2 drivers titles and 1 constructors hoping to sign off by taking at least my 3rd drivers title. Racing for Ferrari in that final season so I'm hopeful. Like you I tend to screw up at least once in a race quite often it's at the start when trying to get up to speed quite often I use restart race in those instances though once I'm through the first lap though I stick with the flashbacks. Will probably have flashbacks on but I'll have them set too a limited level on Autosport as I wouldn't want to become too dependant on them. Quite often I find the cars get a little tail happy probably because I'm pushing too hard and that's when I tend to use them -
