Which Discipline will you start your career with on Grid Autosport
sjsharp2010 replied to sjsharp2010's topic in General Discussion
well I'll directly be doing a few practice races and laps to get an idea of how the game handles and an idea of the level of AI I want although I think I know the answer to that but when it comes to career mode I'l be opening with the touring cars -
GRID Autosport confirmed cars/tracks/features

Blast. I'll have to get them to take mine back then. The only question nobody asks when buying a car: 'is it road legal?'. Damn these marketing people of Pagani are mighty clever, Indeed -
Does the pc preview build include the high res dlc?
sjsharp2010 replied to Yellowpinkie's topic in General Discussion
I read that the interiors are the finished article :( but good news (hopefullly) about the texture pack :) yeah they are but it doesn't really bother me personally as I don't use cockpit cam I either use T cam if I'm using an open wheeler or Bonnet cam if I'm driving a normal car -

sjsharp2010 replied to Yellowpinkie's topic in General Discussion
I doubt any vacation time will be given till the game itself is out I don't know if they're still working on it as I think @Loore himself has access to it but it's just not widely available yet and won't be until the game itself is released -

yeah it would but with the way the endurance system is I can't really see that working somehow unless they include an accelerate time feature like they've got in the F1 games I do like what they've done with the Touring car discipline in that it has reverse grids if you win round 1 then you go to the back should make life very interesting in that discipline -

What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS
sjsharp2010 replied to mateyapfc's topic in General Discussion
they've confirmed they are doing one but that is all for the moment but my feeling is they want to give Autosport it's moment in the spotlight first before releasing any details on the F1 release besides I doubt they'll be ready to release anything until autosport is out anyway and CM don't usually erlesae details on a game until at the earliest 2 months before release anyway which indicates at least July given it's usually erlesaed at the same time as the Fifa's and PES games the September/October window -
Wishlist for GRID: Autosport/What cars/tracks do you want to see in Autosport?
sjsharp2010 replied to RevolverOcelot's topic in General Discussion
general quotes don't usually alert though -
ther emay well be I don't know but then I don't play online really only the single player modes but it certainly looks great from the sp perspective as it looks like it's got quite a lengthy career mode if you take into account all the disciplines
-
given it's in the preview build which the vids are based on I would think they would be. I think once people are up to speed with the handling of the game though I doubt it'll be quite so much of a problem. Things will get tweaked a bit right up until they're ready to release I'm sure so anything can happen.

GRID Autosport confirmed cars/tracks/features
sjsharp2010 replied to RallyDriven's topic in General Discussion
doesn't bother me I only race it in game and it's part of the street discipline so if and when I do that discipline in the game and I get he chance I'll drive it. -
they are at E3 with Grid Autosport but not with any dirt games

U got a point, but how many of those gamers comes to the forums? I for one am not into the tuners and street. It's almost also as if I wanna say: -if u wanna do open-wheelers get the F1-game :D I do know plenty of people that will enjoy the tuner / street stuff though. I know some people in my racing clan that are looking forwards to the hypercars. One guy loves drift events and time attacks so he'll be all over those. The thing is? I have nothing towards street races. I know that San Fran is going to be fun, especially driving the faster cars like the Supercars or Hypercars, and I'm personally looking forwards to driving the Integra R coupe around. However, in terms of disciplines, touring cars and open-wheelers are just more what I want to do. Endurance I'm interested in just because it's something that's new and holds some form of strategy to it as opposed to the 'drive-flat-out' method that is commonplace without modelled tire wear. I don't feel Codemasters have made a mistake with including Street and Tuner. Perhaps there are too many cars, but a lot of those are recycled from Grid 2 (the C1 drift cars especially, are the Drift Pack cars from grid 2). It's just that I want to do touring and open-wheel -more- than street racing. :) yeah I'm looking forward to driving the Pagani Zonda R or Revolucion I think it's called in this game been driving it on Shift and it has a rocket of an engine that really flies had to run at half throttle just to keep it under control I'm not a street racer either I usually prefer track races but seeing that car in the Street discipline after driving it on Shift 1 has really wetted my apetite for it -
Wishlist for GRID: Autosport/What cars/tracks do you want to see in Autosport?
sjsharp2010 replied to RevolverOcelot's topic in General Discussion
This is quite obvious. The essence of my point is that copying tracks from GRID2 should not need any considerable efforts while argument "graphics is obsolete" used as for GRID1 tracks is inapplicable to GRID2 since it has the same (or almost the same) graphics as Autosport. After all, thanks to Steam autoupdate feature, missing tracks may be easily added via a patch (no DLC anymore please) after game release. By the way, the question is addressed solely to Loore and implies an official answer, not guessing. Guessing (by people not from Codemasters in particular) does not matter here. Thanks for attention. Then pergaps you should put his name in your post then like this @Loore thsat way your system automatically alerts his -
same here as much as I loved making the Pagani Zonda R on Shift 1 do 300mph down it's long straight I don't like racing that track it's a bit narrow for my liking and it's been retired from racing purely because it's to dangerous by modern standards and I think it should be forgotten for racing games unless it's for a classic mode Having said that I do have a tendency to struggle on narrower tracks anyway I think as I tend to struggle with both Monaco and Suzuka for the same reason although lately I've done quite well at Monaco having won there twice in the career mode I'm doing at the moment on F1 2012

Is no Zonda R in Autosport sorry. well, there is. in the street discipline, at the hypercar. it was even on the anouncement pic! That is the Revolucion. Very similar to the R in many respects but road legal. The R is purely a track car. :) yeah that's what I meant the Revolucion is another version of it wasn't thinking too much about doing the street discipline but if there was ever a reason to consider it. That may just persuade me to give it a go at some point because I found it a fun car to drive in the shift games once I learnt how to keep iyt under control as it has more speed and power than you actually need in that gsame and I kind of had to keep it at half throttle to just keep the thing under control as I had it going at 300mph at one point along the Nordschleife -
Ford GT40 MK1 Vs Mont Tremblant // Gameplay Trailer
sjsharp2010 replied to Loore's topic in General Discussion
Ah well, comments will be comments! I find it interesting to go through and see what kind of opinions people are forming from the footage that's out there though. Goes to show though that you can only gather so much info when watching a vid sometimes you need hands on experience but as I said above to me it looks more like it's got a handling more akin to the earlier F1 games than Grid 2 with AI to match too as they don't seem to be as aggressive as they were in Grid 2. if that's the case then that's good enough for me as I loved the handling and AI of F1 2010-2012 -
Yes, that's the one I'm talking about :D What do you mean by gold? Maybe the 9-5 and the 9-3? Gold is the term used when they are ready to start transferring the game to discs and stuff ready for release to the public so they can start enjoying the product

Wishlist for GRID: Autosport/What cars/tracks do you want to see in Autosport?
sjsharp2010 replied to RevolverOcelot's topic in General Discussion
I would be happy to have GRID1 tracks even in their original graphics state — this would be better than not having them at all. Same applies to all GRID2 tracks (some of which are missing in Autosport for some reason), but, compared with GRID1, they probably even don't require to be rebuilt at all since GRID2 and Autosport graphics are almost identical. Really: why not just directly copy GRID2 tracks (those currently missing in Autosport) to Autosport? This would be much better then not having them at all. Thanks. Because it would take up resources needed in other areas that's why besides I think we've got quite a wide selection of tracks anyway and while it would be nice I'm not sure the game needs any more maybe they'll do some as DLC but for now in my opinion I think they need to make sure there aren't too many bugs in the system and get the game out rather than just throwing in stuff at the last minute that could screw up the whole system. I 'd like to see this game done right with all the promise it's showing not bodged up like last years games
