What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS

they have used 8th gear as I think they were used in Bahrain as I remember them going up to 8th the 8th gear though is mostly for the power circuits the tracks where the cars hit top speed on the long straights they'll probably be used in the next race Canada and Monza as well especially given the long straights on both those tracks double up as DRS zones Yes I can remember now. However, I was just giving Codemasters a 'heads up' as it were. Although, come to think of it, i'm sure they are on the case. Obviously, the torque from the engines this year is clearly visible. One other thing I would like to mention is the possibility of using 'lift and coast' to save fuel. Whether this can be implemented successfully into the game is another thing, although i'm sure we can expect some fuel saving, I hope a little better from last year. I'm pretty sure they keep an eye on F1 and the changes that have occurred it's just a case of incorporating it into the game ideally without making a mess of it this time

  3. Indeed I agree although it does have a lot of tracks I like mostly because I love racing them in F1 especially Sepang, Hockenheim and Abu Dhabi just adding those 3 has got me really excited for this game fortunately it does have others too but still it is an awesome track list and with the fact you have slight variations where you only race round say half the full track in some races makes it interesting as well one of the things to come out of Grid 2 that I actually enjoyed was the various different ways you had to take the track really spiced the action up at least for me

sometimes some games aer labelled differently I know that to appeal to p[eople in those countries I think 1 or 2 of the original TOCa's were as well I remember reading recently

    The Game Thread!

Perhaps you're not playing the right ones or you need to turn the difficulty down as the COD's can be quite tricky shooters I've found at least the ones I have are quite tricky at timesas I've never beaten them. Battlefield I've found to be a little bit easier but usually prefer to graduate towards games that require more thought than pure gunslinging action
  6. No. Impossible to implement 2015 data in such a short time. seriously disagree. when a new season starts, all CM have to wait on before releasing a game is the shape of the new cars and the performance order. modelling the cars could take a month with a good team of designers, and the performance changes are just values in a car performance file. would take a few days at most. thus during this year they can get all the next gen textures and menus up to scracth, then the final part would be the cars. so an april/May 2015 release is possible? possible but I don't think it'll happen I think it will be next gen but I think we'll continue to see the game being released in the September/October cycle

What do you want in F1 2014? GAME IDEAS

Much as I love the classic content I think 1910 is taking it a bit far. Agreed I think a few cars from the 70's and 80's would be plenty enough really right now if they are adding classics this year. Personally I would prefer it I think to just forget classics this year and sort out the gameplay especially on the lower difficulties because 2013 is a mess and it's only going to get worse if it's not sorted. If there is to be any new features make them career mode features as career mode needs a big freshen up as it is getting a little stale

    Grid Autosport Review

yes and in the past I have and I bought one not that long ago but I think I've got to the point where I'm so  used to using the keyboard now that I'm better on that than on any other type of control. Exactly, I would be 99% sure there would be at least 3x or 4x the amount of players who only play offline only compared to those play online and I'm one of those. It is a personal choice, not because of skill or internet connection but those are deciding factors for many others. I play plenty of other games online and some competitively but I think the AI in racing games is getting to a point where you don't need to race online for a challenge and I'm sure it will only improve. @sjsharp2010 I agree as well, all the focus is on trying to make the AI harder at the higher end (I admit to being in favour of that) and forgets about the other side. There must be a better way to balance it. Yeah I'm just trying to make sure. that what happened with F1 2013 doesn't happen again because again that will hurt the games sales if the game doesn't perform as designed Not sure if you remember on the old forums when 2013 came out but I'm sure @Loore does :p as he was here then and all the arguments over the Amateur difficulty that brewed up afterwards as I know I and quite a few others were not too happy about that. I wouldn't want that too happen to Autosport as it looks like CM are trying to clean up the mess they crated which they deserve credit for I just hope it pays off. I'm all for people wanting a hardcoer challenge if they're up for it but I can't play at that leve4l and if I don't feel I can't compete at the games easiest levels I won't buy them because there wouldn't be any point to it. I remember Anthony Davidson's interviews when he was talking about F1 2010 where he was talking about the fact that some simulator games were actually much harder than driving the actual car. He was happy with the fact that 2010 simulated whsat it was lik to edrive one of those machines withoutmaking it too hard for the player and that was one thing he liked about the game and that's one thing I liked about that too and i9n 11 and 12 they stuck with that but with 2013 I feel something got lost along the way I'm not exactly suer what but in my opinion it left it in a bit of a mess and needs straightening out. That's good to know :D it certainly looks from the outside watching the vids that it has a very much Shift style structure to the career mode where you work your way up through tiers in each discipline. I know Shift takes me a while to negotiate whereas Grid 2 I can negotiate pretty quick so career mode is certainly looking better and better all the time at the moment

    UEFA EURO 2016 QUALIFIERS

there are people from different countries on this forum we are just all incredibly diplomatic
  10. no they aren't yet but I think that's because all CM are focused on right now is Autosport once Grid Autosport is out then the attention will switch F1's way that's my feeling anyway I think until then we have to be patient and wait and see what Autosport brings us first

    Grid Autosport Review

I try but generally I keep al the buttons configured to one area of the keyboard for example on F1 I use the arrow keys to drive the car keypads 0 and 1 for controlling Kers and DRS and the Pg up pg down Delete and end for the quick menu will probably use this configuration for Autosport as well. Doing this way does certainly make it a bit easier for me.
  12. probably wouldn't be this but I'd choose Valencia as I love that track from F1 2010/12

    The 'I purchased Autosport' Thread

although I still like Grid 2 in fact just bought a DLC pack as I never touched that when it first came out and thought I'd give it a look in SP mode of course. The moer I'm hearing the moer I'm liking too. Yes Grid 2 has it's frailties but in my opinion was still a fun game just not as much fun as it probably could have been the career mode was just too short. It look like they've learnt their lesson for this time round as it sounds like Autosport will be a BLAST. So credit for CM for dusting themselves down and giving it another go because this is exactly the kind of response the Grid series needed. I just hope the F1 guys take note of this and deliver something equally impressive. Won't hold my breath but it would be nice :)

    Grid Autosport Review

there are as I'm in that club too I sometimes play games with others but mostly with family at Christmas we might play a few games of Fifa against each other or a quiz game like Who want's to be a Millionaire generally with computer games though I compete against the AI because my disability kind of prevents me from being able to compete competitively online as I play with only 1 hand on the controls. |That's why I play low level AI as it gives you a chance to adapt to the changing circumstances whenever things like that happen in games. That's why I argue to try to make suer that the slower difficulties aren't forgotten ahbout as I felt happened with F1 2013

    The Game Thread!

3 did I didn't play it as I didn't want to spoil the fun having already got and done playthroughs of the first 2 and I only bought into the series about the octoobertime before 3 came out I think but 3 did have a demo as it's downloadable through origin I never saw ME 2's demo though I bought the series based partly on recommendations and also what I saw in youtube vids and being impressed with what I saw but either way after having experienced it I certainly don't regret taking the plunge love playing the Soldier and adept classes most. It's game i'll always continue to play as I do plan on doing moer playthrough's eventually. in fact was thinking being a Renegade Adept next :p I think the demo was just the first level of the Reapers arriving to start their attack

    Grid Autosport Review

Not everyone likes to play with a bunch of wreckers. Or has the time to put into the game to be good enough for (or even have the time to race in) a league. So offline is very important to some. Indeed offline is very important o me as that the focus of my efforts and will be on this game too.

    The 'I purchased Autosport' Thread

Same here just annoying though that we still have to use systems like Steam to get them to work even if we are just interested ion the single player part of the games. Fair enough if multiplayer is your thing but for single player I think it's pointless although I think it's done to prevent piracy it is annoying.
  21. this is just a preview build given out to promote the game not the actual final version I'm sure the final one will be more to our liking

    The Game Thread!

Good! You won't regret it man. Another way to put it, I remember a large majority of the Mass Effect characters, and I can remember what each of them did or didn't do and how I interacted with each of them. With Assassin's Creed, I can remember the gist of the storylines, and I've only actually managed to finish a full AC game once. Mass Effect, I've played each game multiple times over to see how if I choose a different path, or say something completely, it'll effect whatever happens next :)  Not that I know of, but Mass Effect 2 does have a demo :) It was playing that that first got me into ME. It should be just about spoiler free, and it'll give you a small glimpse into how it works. As for the save files, I'm not sure at all bud. I'd guess it'd work, but @sjsharp2010 might know better than me. I did all of my numerous playthroughs on the 360 :p I finished the first game but got bored with the 2nd one, haven't tried ME3 yet. takes a bit of getting into but when you do it's totally worth it as I struggled at first to understand what was happening but now I really appreciate it and is now one of if not my favourite games especially ME2 anyway

I did all of my numerous playthroughs on the 360 :p I think you're thinking of ME3 3 has a demo I don't think 1 and 2 do at leas t I don't think I've seen one.As for game saves with ME2 you have to tell the configuration utility where they are stored on the PC in order for it to pick them up the place they're stored as default in Windows 7 is usually I think Users>username> My Documents>Bioware>MassEffect>save or something like that anyway you should be able to find it by looking for the name you gave your Shepard in the game as the filesave is usually called the same name you give your Shepard and basically direct the config utility to that location. All you have to do is click on copy Mass effect 1 save and tell it where it is. Mass Effect 3 isn't a problem as ME3 finds and does this automatically. This is with the disc versions though. I think 1 and 2 are on Steam 3 you would have to get through Origin as it's Origin powered anyway but definetwely worth it. Like you @RevolvingPrawn I've played the game multiple times too I never seem to get tired of it. I'd say 1 has got the weakest graphics but the strongest story and is a little bit shorter than the others as it doesn't have as many missions but the missions it does have aer quite long and very expansive 2 is probably the best overall package as everything seems pretty solid and 2 is also the longest part takes me the better part of a week to get through it mind you that is with all the DLC 3 again is quite long has the best graphics but is probably the weakestof the 3 in terms of story but still very solid. Here's a little taster of what to expect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nETxAJsD0N4

What Classics Would You Want in the Game?

tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped classics altogether as I think I already know what this years new feature will be and that is next gen that is all along with the altered rules and res for this year. Of course not forgetting the new engines/power units whatever they want to call them I suspect. I just hope they sort out the lower levels though given how unbalanced 2013 was as I can't see myself putting too many hours into that in the near future given the way it plays
