    GRID Career Mode

I think out of the modern day racers F1 2010 is probably the one that I play most that and maybe Dirt 2 although I don't have Dirt 2 installed at the moment on my PC. On  the touring car side Shift is probably the one I go for because it has mostly proper race tracks and I feel like I'm in a race as the AI doesn't take off like a rocket leaving me spinning my wheels but is fast enough to keep me under pressure if I make a mistake so is a good balance. With Grid 1 I never felt this was the case as I did feel I was struggling to keep up with the AI most of the time. In fact I was pretty much flat out just trying to keep up.

Yeah , but I prefer Top Spin to Virtua Tennis tbh. Haven't played either in a while though. I agree haven't played either for a while either but then I hsaven't been using my PS3 much at all lately aside for giving the World cup game a quick once over. it's all wired up I've just not used as I spend most of my time on PC

How is the AI in F1 2013?

well in my opinion 2012 is better than 13 that's for sure so you've made the right move there I think

    Official Football Thread

maybe but his actions did start ww2 he deserved to die for that crime alone in my book same here yes he made some mistakes but we all do . sometimes in sport as in life you make decisions that later on turn out to be the wrong ones but zll you can do is try to make the best of it  I'm not a Man u supporter but it's always a sad day when someone dies in my book having experienced death in my family.

    GRID Career Mode

unfortunately my copy of grid doesn't seem to be working properly anyway right now so probably just as well with Autosport on the horizon and I do have other racing games to keep me going in the meantime anyway playing F1 2012 and the Shift games at the moment in anticipation of this great masterpiece. :D

    The Game Thread!

I have Virtua Tennis 2009, it starts off fun but quickly becomes boring and repetitive. Maybe 4 is better, best go on you tube and watch a review I think that's the one I've got too I generally stick with Topspin though

    The Game Thread!

looks like for the third race weekend in a row I'm doing battle with Vettel had a big fight with him in Canada in which I disposed of him in the champions wall as he spun in front of me. Then again in Valencia as I had to reel him in and pass him to take the spot he had and now at Silverstone I'm alongside him on the grid 9/10

    Flashbacks......AGAIN

Exactly Kazzy I use them for that reason to when I play. Flashbacks do have their uses in CM's games simply because I think of the way the Ego engine works I've found on a lot of CM's games that have used this engine the cars do tend to get somewhat tail happy sometimes and easily spin off. I'm not saying that's the case with all  racing games as it depends on the game Shift I find is pretty stable for the most part for example. I'm not saying the games are difficult to handle by any means as they aer good fun and not too difficult to correct if you make a mistake it's just a trait I've noticed with these games

What Classics Would You Want in the Game?

I doubt that's even possible even on PC some tracks will obviously be possible others not How can someone map realistically a track like Pescara or old Monaco? if you have the measurements or track design graphs it's possible they may not be able to cater for every bump or whatever on an old classic track like they can now with modern tracks being they are laser scanned into the game but all that's really needed is the general track layout and measurements and of course permission to use them from the powers that be

    The Game Thread!

A few other things to make your wait harder:  You can go into the media player on the phone and make a custom that plays when you get into a car. There's a side game called Spider Tank where you control a large mechanized spider that has a minigun and rocket launcher mounted on it. If you hear a song playing in say a shop or from someones car, you can use an app called song sneak to find out the song title and artist. You can also hack random songs from people on the street for adding to your own playlist. There's a slowdown time thing called Focus, makes gunfights and cop chases very interesting! You can play chess. You can hack money from random AI's bank accounts, the best places being Mad Mile and The Loop for richer people ;) And there's tons more but you'll find out for yourself! tbh your making me want to start now haven't started my game yet as I've been busy doing other things it's installed and cleared on my PC so it's ready to go  but once I'm finished my F1 and NFS Shift playthrough's i'll give it a go

Bad mistake there Watch dogs in one of the better games out on the PS4 The more I saw of WD, the less interested I became. Just reminded me too much of GTA 5 and I was really disappointed with that game. that's strange because usually for me it's usually the other way round the more I see of a game that interests me the more I want it. That's certainly the case with Autosport at the moment anyway. Looking forward to getting my career under way on that already

    2014 Circuit Alterations

Also, I believe the Loews Hairpin (T6) is now much wider than it used to be not too suer about Lowes being wider looked the same size to me in that last race

    Lets Talk about Vettel.

yeah  I don't know if it's a trait among Germans and (I don't mean to insult them as I'm sure there are some really nice German people out there ) but certainly their sports stars do seem to me to have a sense of arrogance about them Schumacher was the same at least I thought so back when he was winning everything towards the end he eased up a bit but certainly during his golden years he had an arrogance about him I didn't like

    Grid Autosport Review

you should see it in Grid 2 then it's even weirder driving it reversed as you have to for one of the races

    UEFA EURO 2016 QUALIFIERS

well we did pretty well in the 2002 world cup in Japan if I recall and if it hadn't been for Brazil getting lucky I think we could have won there having said that though I don't think we have the players this time. The players that have played  world cyp football are all ageing warhorses now :p and the rest have never even been to one.

    The Game Thread!

indeed as I said in my post they need to recapture the feeling they had when they first started making he game because unless they can get things back to near there the game is going to struggle it started out si promisingly with 2010 but it's petered out since then and they need to get that back if they aer going to save the F1 series I think

    The Game Thread!

yeah he probably did I like all of these ideas apart from taking a year off :p Most of the drivers (me included) in the league I'm in were sick of 2013 close to the end of the first season we did on it. We're 6 races into the second and last season we'll be doing on it now, and I honestly couldn't put up with it for another year a half if they skipped 2014. The driving is solid and feels better than any of their previous F1 games, but the bugs and glitches just make it so massively frustrating and horrible to race online. And the only other thing I'll comment on is the practice sessions. I don't care about having three sessions, but if we have 1 then I'd like it to be an hour and a half rather than the hour it currently is. It normally takes me about 50 mins to get most of a setup sorted, then I wanna do a couple of quali sims and a long run to test tyre wear and handling as the fuel burns off. Only I have to restart the session, reload my setup, and then go onto a track that's lost the rubbered in racing line that it had before. It's not a massive issue, but it is kind of annoying. I can't see them taking a year off anyway not with the new consoles I think they know that people will wantr a next gen F1 game and they know the sooner they can deliver one the better for all concerned, I just hope that it not only gts a new lick of paint but also some of the featuers get looked at as well at the very least the career mode needs a face lift and I think that needs to be a priority with 2014 even if they add a couple of new things now and add a couple of new things over the next few years this game needs something to give us back the 2010 feel we had when CM announced that they had got the F1 licensed and produced 2010 out of it. I felt ver y optimistic about it then knowing CM's gaming history but they definitely need to recapture that again

    The Game Thread!

I thought back on 2010 when I saw money being offered in the contracts I thought maybe something could be or would be linked to hat in the future versions but that kind of vanished which was a shame as I think that could have added to the game immensely that and making the career longer and wanting to invest more time in building a Schumacher type reputation and becoming a great by winning 7 world titles I think would have been the right way to go I think as a kind of addition to the live the life that CM was promoting at the time I think CM had the right ideas back then they've just never followed through with them on this series TBH if they had I don't think the series would be in the mess it's in now Let's hope they come up with something big this year otherwise I may skip and I'm sure there are others who may as well it looks like Grid is back on form let's hope that F1 is as well
  24. sjsharp2010

    The Game Thread!

Exactly the same for me. I did 14 seasons on 2010, 4 or 5 on 2011, 2 and a bit on 2012, and only 3 career races on 2013. It needs a major change imo. same here I probably play 2010 and 2012 the most as I like the handling in those games sand the general way the games play.  2013 I find the AI too aggressive to really want to racev them really, they seem to have a more touring car let's bump him off the track attitude than a precision style F1 attitude that they should have. The classics are good and really 2013's only saving grace but the 2013 part is a total mess.  Aside from the weaker graphics 2011 is OK but again career isn't sufficiently different from the others and I'll probably continue to race it for Nurburgring instead of Hockenheim for a change given the state 2013 is in but aside from that the series is in need of a major rethink if CM want to save it.
