    Football Manager Discussion

just added 2 central Attacking midfielders to my squad needed a couple of Gerrard/Lampard type players and given one's already scored his first goal it looks like they're up for the task. we look in much better shape now in terms of flexibility. Just need yto get my team to perform consistently now

    UEFA EURO 2016 QUALIFIERS

I know Podolski can as he's impressed a lot in world cups up alongside Klose but if I remember rightly though the same was said in both 1990 and in 1996 and Germany won those tournaments. As I said above though I don't think they will win but you can never write Germany off  because anybody who does will most likely pay the price

    Football Manager Discussion

At the moment I think I'm going to have to stick with 4-4-2 as my team seems to struggle with the other formations might be something to do with the fact we don't erally have the personnel to cover all the bases

    'Virtual' Mirror?

You know you don't have to use them if you don't want, right? yeah I keep telling him that too if you don't want flashbacks turn them off there is an option for doing so. I'll have them turned on personally but set to limited as I don't want to become too over reliant on them

    UEFA EURO 2016 QUALIFIERS

I don't either but I wouldn't write them off though Germany tends to play a very organised system and that can be quite effective in the big tournaments  I think they could be an outside bet at best but I don't think they will win

    'Virtual' Mirror?

yeah I don't think the community managers on this forum get the credit they deserve sometimes

    Autosport Corner Cutting

yeah it's hard to control a car that's off line in Shift and  hard to recover it too not suer about the 5 second penalty but it definetly slows you down and makes things hard to control when you make a mistake as when I've done some of the one on one races it's certainly cost me a few of those

    Football Manager Discussion

Depends on who I'm playing in each match I try to be as versatile as possible and pick a team and setup to suit each occasion that I hope will get me the win. I tend to use 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 most of the time as my primary formations but I do use others as well

    NellyFurtado demands an answer

Well I think I remember reading somewhere that Autosport was going to be their last old gen title. Whether that's true or not I don't know but only time will tell us the answer to that if that is the case then I assume we can look forward to seeing 2014 on the new systems. We do know that the PC version is getting some graphical tweaks compared to the console version. Possibly with a view to using them on next gen systems? I don't know but it's certainly a possibility.

    The Game Thread!

Shouldn't the games update automatically if you leave the system in Standby mode? That's what I do... I'll check that out in the settings but its always starts to update as soon as i turn PS4 on. Leave your PS4 in standby mode (takes up barely any power) and it will update automatically, assuming you haven't turned any of those options off. MUCH more convenient and saves a lot of time. Plus, by leaving it in standby mode, you can buy games/demos from the store (phone or computer) and they will automatically start to download, even if you are away. Looks like i won't be using standby anymore and switching it completely off Standby power usage Interesting article, but I suspect there's a bit more to that story. Also, what about PCs, laptops, kitchen appliances? I'm sure Sony and MS will lower the power requirements with future updates since the OS is constantly improving. For me, the convenience of everything being updated and ready to go outweighs the extra power usage. Might try it with the standby turned on and check the power usage when the bill comes in. probably best as sometimes reports like that can exaggerate. I think it's up to each individual to decide what's best for them . I wouldn't say dismiss the reports altogether as some can be accurate but some reports do have a tendency to exaggerate

What an epic opener to the season I've just had and shows exactly everything I love about football drama action and plenty of goals. 2-0 down after 20 minutes back level by the half hour and then came away with a win of 4-3 both my frontmen getting 2 goals each with the decisive goal coming just a minute before the end brilliant

    Flashbacks......AGAIN

I can see why some don't like it I know I use them mosdtly either to correct mistakes or tyo ditch an unfair penalty I've fwlt I've been given in the game but that's only in single player moed I find it does help especially on tracks that I'm not that familiar with too Maybe they don't work too well online but offline they definitely serve their uses

    Could there be oval tracks?

yeah it's the same in the Shift games there are oval races but as far as I know no disciplines on it I think it's best if you're going to have ovals in this type ogf game have it in a mix of stuff there aer still Nascar games out there good/bad that can still provide us with an oval challenge should we want one

I got hooked way back on the Amiga playing Premier Manager I think it was. I think that was the first football manager game I played. it didn't have things like press interaction or keeping your players happy and things like that likre the modern ones do. it was moer like the way Fifa is now but without the playing you just picked the strategy and team and upgraded the stadium from time to time You still had a budget and had to make signings and stuff like that though it was still good enough to give me hours of fun though played it a lot with my dad too where we each took a team and played together. tbh last night while playing my processor stayed pretty cool almost as if it was idling but then mine's a desktop not a laptop

    UEFA EURO 2016 QUALIFIERS

I hated the Japan korea world cup when they were all early in the morning was worth it though as it was a good world cup. I just hope this one's more entertaining than South Africa 2010
