    The Game Thread!

It's a pretty game but the amount of content in the game just isn't worth the price tag in my opinion.  Where have you been?  :o He's been playing Fallout 4, a game that actually has things to do! :p  Indeed that's one thing I love about RPG's atm you have plenty of quests and tasks to do in them

    The Game Thread!

Yeah I've spent the las t hour or so on it looking  around looks good so far. Will play it properly once I'm finished with other things I've got on the go right now.

    The Game Thread!

yeah I've not played any of the previous ones but this new one looks good. I've got in mind already the kind of character I want to start with but I'm not finalising anything until I get to play and look at my options.

    The Game Thread!

yeah I know I'm preloaded and ready to go. I'll likely give it a look tonight but as for properly playing I'll wait till I'm finished my run on other games I've got on the go.

Yeah I've got to admit I like the look of the new Fallout 4 game as well. Not played any of the previous ones but this new one looks good.

Half way through Episode 3 now on Life is Strange definitely is a weird game but fun. Chloe is a crafty sort though. Max the PC is kind of sweet though. Interesting getting to play with the rewind power. Edit: that's one hell of a cliff hanger to Episode 3 I have to say. Still got to do Episodes 4 & 5 though

    The Game Thread!

Started playing Life is Strange today still in the first episode but it's quite an interesting game. Quite complex considering it's not an expensive triple A type game. Edit: Just completed Episode 1 intriguing story so far.

    The Game Thread!

From the preview videos I've seen of the new/upcoming Need for Speed game, the visuals, audio, & atmosphere look spectacular... But I've never enjoyed "street racing / car culture" games much. I lean more towards motorsport-oriented racing games on real-world circuits. Need for Speed looks heavily focused on drifting, gymkhana, stunts, style, police chases, traffic-dodging, destruction, etc. and light on conventional racing. I still may consider picking it up for fun at some point later if I see a good sale/discount. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y32dfdsznFc yeah that's why I don't normally buy them in fact I only have 4 NFS games and 2 of them are the Shift games. The  other 2 are Carbon and the run. The Run has some really nice scenery but being on the Frostbite engine that's not much of a surprise given Frostbite does seem to do scenery well probably better than most other engines.

Indeed but then online I don't think has ever been one of CM's strengths anyway. It's obviously an area that needs work on but seeing as I don't use it it's not a problem for me. When it comes to good single player modes they nail it but online I think has always been a bit of a struggle for them.

    The Game Thread!

Yeah I've done 1 season of each set and I agree it is a pretty solid game It didn't start out that way but definitely since CM have brought out the patches and really started working on it it's slowly became the kind of game that I'd say it needs to be and should have been at launch. Hopefully assuming they choose to bring back career mode and slowly add back in what was missing from this years game the series and hopefully C|M's reputation can recover. It won't be easy though.

    The Game Thread!

Indeed why can't they just leave singleplayer as single player and just bring these things in for those that like playing multiplayer. If they want to make more moneyout of the singleplayer market then produce swome interesting DLC's like Bioware does when they produced DLC's like Lair of the Shadow Broker for ME2 or Trespasser for DAI. Hopefully they don't go as far as what Konami has done with MGS that you reported because it sounds like that these things aer mainly experience booster type things rather than huge changes that will prevent you from playing the SP experience like what Konami did.

    The Game Thread!

I wish i could've finished it, but with Fifa, Battlefront & the Uncharted collection all taking up my gaming i think i'm gonna trade it in. Battlefront is pants, there's no depth at all. It's like a F2P game yet is being sold at full price.... yeah that's why I'm not bothering with it no single player campaign means no deal for me.

    The Game Thread!

I've not noticed them with Sera but I've noticed Morrigan does but yeah hopefully they move on and work on this a bit more and use the extra power of the new systems. Because for me this where if anything DAI let itself down most the rest of the package was very solid.

    FIFA/PES thread

Does this not prove how crap England are :joy: Well done though, if only real football mirrored Fifa. We are kinda in a false position as the whole of the first team has been out injured so far, so hopefully it can only get better :# Well at least in these games we can try to help improve them and make them play the way they should. But I do agree we are rubbish atm.
  19. sjsharp2010

    FIFA/PES thread

Yeah I've had a couple of England call ups in fact been calleds up to their latest squad too on my game. but that's on Fifa 15 not 16 as I've not started a career on the new one yet but likely won't be until I finish my 15 one.

    The Game Thread!

yeah I would like a couple of Shoulder length hairstyles as well like what Miranda and Ashley have in ME3 on my character too. With Witcher 3 or Tomb Raider style hair physics I think it would work well. Itend to use this sort of hair most in mine at least when playing female. Yeah rogues are awesome I love the idea of no locfk can resist my charm kind of feeling I got from playing my rogues especially after getting the deft hands fine tools perk nothing could resist me. I think they cfan do it as the wind effect on the long coats and buttflap armours work well they just need to upgrade it a bit more to include hair. I do get the feeling though with the extra memory of the new systems they should be able to do it now. It's just a question of how and where will the resources be spent. Aside from the CC the rest of DAI was definitrely a good solid product so I don't doubt that MEA won't be either but for me the CC needs improving to match the rest of the games quality if it's to be successful.

    The Game Thread!

yeah both the rogtues I've played in 2 and DAI have both been dual wielders. Was thinking when I do a female rogue or mage next on Origins give it a rather slightly more weirder look by giving them one of the moer weirder hairstyles that you wouldn't normally expect to see on a fighter because there's a few hairstyles on the mod I've got thast you wouldn't expect to see on a fighting character but that'll be when I play a female one as I think it'll suit a female playthrough moer than a male one. They look like nice hairstyles to me but I just wouldn't expect to see them on someone who's about to go into combat. http://www.nexusmods.com/dragonage/mods/392/? These are the ones I've got. There's a couple more there in the mod I found  that aren't in the pictures but it certainly I think will lead to helping me create some interesting looking characters and that's kind of what I'll probably aim for on my next rogue or mage I create on Origins Yeah I can see why they've gone with Andromeda though as it'll allow them to leave the mess of an ending they had for ME3 without screwing things up even more than they have. I'm excited moer because Battlefield looks awesome on this engine and with MEA being a fellow shooter type RPG I think it'll work wonders for ME probably better than it does for DA if I'm honest. Although to be fair it's worked well for Inquisition as well. If it hadn't been for the last gen holding it back though I think it would have been a lot better. Thankfully Andromeda won't have that headache as it's being built for the new systems only so hopefully that'll lead to a higher quality game all round. Dual wields definitely better in the first and second one. Found that archer is a bit better in Inq though especially when mixed with tempest. Yeah the standard styles they've got in all of them really aren't very nice, only really one or two from all of them that I like. They don't make it easy to look nice haha Some of these mods are the reason I might buy them all again when I get a better desktop. Can get a nice look in Inq but it's a struggle in the first two being on console. Yeah that was what held it back really. After seeing how the Witcher looks you can definitely tell the difference having to accommodate for last gen. Just the painful wait for them all now though! :confounded:  yeah I quite like a few of the hairstyle mods for Origins especially those ones which was why I downloaded them. I usually don't bother with mods as I casn't get them to work very often but with the DA modder prorgam this one goes in quite easy. I'd like to see them build on Inquisition by adding some hair physics like the Witcher 3 and maybe some new hairstyles as wel given the selection in DAI was rather weak. Maybe we'll see some improvement in that when Andromeda comes out.  Tempest works quite well with dual wielders as well as my DAI rogue used tempest as her specialization or at least the only rogue I've played so far. using the freeze power and than slashing the bad guy with my dual bladed daggers was oddly satisfying not to mention deadly :p .

It's possible the quizzy could get a prosthetic arm or a magic arm or something I suppose. But certainly fightimng with one arm would be impossible if they didn't I think unless you happen to0 be a mage as you'd still be able to throw a fireball or 2 but as a rogue/warrior it would be impossible I think. I don't think they've got the green light yet for another DA but I have heard on the forums in discussion threads that they've got 2 more planned they just haven't announced them officially yet. But as I said I think Plan A right now is Andromeda and see where they go from there Once Andromeda's out then they'll likely announce the next DA as they seem to be alternating between Mass Effect and Dragon Age atm. Kind of like me atm as I've got playthrough's on the go on both atm as I finished ME1 about 2/3 days ago and now I'm working through Origins Just managed to get the mages on my side and now I'm starting the hunt for the Urn of Sacred ashes to cure Arl Eamon. Yeah I actually quite enjoy using the keep too  as I've been using it's randomise feature to pick what my next warden and Hawke should be in my playthroughs instead of picking the Origins myself. Mostly to help me give the game and story a bit of randomness for when I play it. It's definitely made playing the games more interesting that way. The only game in which I've played all 3 classes so far is DA2. I haven't played a rogue yet in Origins and I'm still  missing a warrior Inquisitor. I do intend to do one of each eventually at least it's just a matter of when. Would definitely be different for an RPG. They've just got to have a major involvement in the next game, they've set it up for them so a different character won't feel right for that plotline. Oh yeah, they take time announcing them but if they're planned then it's pretty much a given. Yeah most likely, just hope they can live up to the trilogy. Going to be a hard act to follow. Still a bit unsure if I like the idea of a different galaxy to be honest. Will definitely get it since it's BW but I don't know, don't feel as excited as I did for Inq last year. Probably down to not a lot being known about it so far I guess. Ha, I'd love to do that questline with companions from the other games, just to see their reactions. Definitely, it's useful for putting those "Nope I won't make this choice" choices as well! Got a Game of Thrones inspired world state saved on there with choices I found difficult to do. Probably going to do them on my current character though. Rogue's good in Origins, a lot easier to play than warrior and a bit faster paced than mages. Dual wield is best for it though, archery's a bit rubbish in the first one! yeah both the rogtues I've played in 2 and DAI have both been dual wielders. The Game Thread!

yeah Stroud is pretty much a given but then so is Loghain for me given his past. I'm not sure Varric will like me very much for this but I'll probably end up sacrificing Hawke on this occasion when I get there. But it wil be the first time I'll have sacrificed Hawke though if I go through with it as in all my playthroughs so far I chose to leave the warden behind. I've not had Alistair remain a warden before in all my previous playthrough's he's been the king except the last one when he became a drunkard as he left and never came back when I chose to turn Loghain into a warden. I tried to convgince him to marry Anora but he didn't want anything to do with it. Yeah it doesn't go down well with Varric if you leave Hawke. I don't know how much difference it makes in this game but it'll probably have an effect in the next game with what's going on at Weisshaupt in the epilogue. Plus there's the wording for the choice "Alistair/Loghain/Stroud/Hawke will likely die staying behind". So it's a bit up in the air as to whether whoever stays behind actually dies. Imagine how painful the choice would have been if they went along with their original plan of Hawke's warden friend being the Hero of Ferelden! Haha he's a stubborn one! If you have Loghain join I think Alistair has to be toughened up during his personal quest when he meets his sister to go along with marrying Anora. Yeah I assumed as much when it happened that it was because I didn't toughen Alistair up Besides it's likely I'll  be doing many more playthroughs before DA4 comes out anyway so I doubt I'd carry this particular run through. Besides I tend to only take playthroughs through that I have active at the time any previous ones I do I tend to forget about. Assuming there is a DA4 that is I'm pretty sure there will be as I heard they have 2 more DA games in the planning stages but obviously the main focus for Bioware now is ME Andromeda and getting that ready to release next year. Well given the HOF didn't show up in DA2 I thought it would always be 1 of those 3 to get the warden role seeing as Stroud can appear in DA2 twice and Alistair can be found fighting the Qunari at the end of Act 2 as well and of course Loghain is the only other possible survivor of the Blight. Plus for the HOF to appear in DA2/DAI Bioware would have had to nail down a Voice Actor for the role which likely may have annoyed a few people so I think that would have been a bit awkward. Whereas in Hawke's cvase that was already chosen it was just a case of bringing those VA's back to reprise the role. This will likely be the same with the Inquisitor assuming they have a role to play in the next game obviously it won't be a combat role like Hawke given they've lost an arm but they may still show up in an advisory capacity though like Leliana does in DAI or whatever.

    The Game Thread!

yeah I know I don't have the heart to do that to Cullen especially after seeing what happens with Samson in DA2. I saw the ending on a vid on youtube but haven't done it myself but I've only been through Trespasser once so far and that was with my last Inquisitor a human male Knight Enchanter. If I was going full renegade I'd probably do it but in general terms I think I'd try to help him stay off it but even then I'm not suer I'd keephim on it knowing his history. Plus you can't romance Cullen unless you help him stay off the lyrium anyway. As he breaks off with you if you keep him on it. Yeah I played aggressive/controversial with my last dwarf on Origins as she let Loghain live but generally he dies in most of my playthroughs though. It was interesting to see Loghain in DAI though so was interesting in that respect. It'll probably be Alistairs turn this time though as I'm thinking of making my warden marry Anora and keeping Alistair in the wardens allowing him to play the warden role instead of the king one for a change. Yeah it wasn't nice seeing it even knowing it didn't happen in my playthrough. One thing about it I suppose is it makes you think about some choices. They might seem like nothing right up until the end! Same with sacrificing Bull's chargers, another bad ending. I've filed them both under "one of those choices I'll never make no matter the playthrough"! Even if I decide to do a more Game of Thrones inspired playthrough! I'll let someone else do it and watch it on youtube instead :innocent: That'll be another tough choice! Alistair or Hawke. Think I'd be stuck on the choice selection for a while on that one! With Loghain it's not so bad as he's at least redeeming himself but even then him doing the sacrifice in Origins seems better for that. Poor Stroud, he's basically a dead man walking if he's the warden choice! yeah Stroud is pretty much a given but then so is Loghain for me given his past. I'm not sure Varric will like me very much for this but I'll probably end up sacrificing Hawke on this occasion when I get there.
