    Project CARS

Well I haven't had any problems in the historic races I've done but then I think it seems with PCars everybody's experiences seem to be wildly different around here. At least based on comments here and on the F1 section

I echo that :p  Agreed even I've grown tired of trying to efend them and tbh this decision they've made to drop the career mode for me in the latest F1 game really is the last straw

    Project CARS

If you look at my posts before release I talked about the head of studio. He won't listen to players and never admits to problems, and people that spoke up about issues ended up getting banned, so much for a community game. They can't take criticism at all, I love the physics but the AI has been an issue since day 1. Online is fine, but now you guys can see why for 90% of pre release I was just hot lapping. I don't have a problem with the ai, but that's because I know how to deal with them. I think they should've kept all the sliders that were in pre release as you could change loads of things like aggressiveness, intelligence and how they defend. Yeah I agree they should have especially as some people like a more gentle more forgiving slower AI like myself which we got in the earlier CM games up until 2012 and some like a fast aggressive AI like we got with F1 2013 for example. I'm not saying that the AI in that game was bad for everyone but it was bad for the kind of racing that I prefer. Because I find myself having to race a lot like Pastor Maldonado in order to compete with it. That was even after I downloaded and applied a grip mod to the game to stop the cars being so twitchy. Still although I agree it's not perfect I will say I have raced what I would consider worse AI. But it seems to me that that is an area that a lot of racing games tend to struggle with in terms of getting things right. Although I do think that if they did do what you suggested @Hughesy and left the intelligence and aggression bars in like EA's F1 challenge had on that game that would have been better

Have to say I love those kill scenes when you take down one of those Ogres.

    Project CARS

Yeah I had 1 or 2 moments in the formula rookie cars where the AI did bump me a bout a bit but seeing as I don't play with damage on or anything like that it didn't really affect me too much. Although I'm racing the Ginetta cars for my second season. I've done a few practice laps around Hockenheim in them and they felt good so looking forward to that.

    Project CARS

Nebver mind I suppose it's one of those games that suits some people better than others as I've quite enjoyed playing it so far I've only done the one season so far but I do plan on going in and doing a few more eventually

    The Game Thread!

sounds like we're both enjoying medieval RPG's then atm. Yep, normally I wouldn't play these mini games, but this is the type of card game I wouldn't mind playing in real life. Yeah I tend to only use those minigames to boost up my characters cash levels to where I need them to be  as well so I can afford the equipment I need for taking on the tougher enemies at the end of the game. But as you say some of them can be quite good fun I find a lot of the mini challenges in the Citadel DLC for ME3 very good fun as well. Haven't got around to playing the Witcher games yet but I have got them downloaded and ready to go on my system for when I'm finished my current DA run

    The Game Thread!

Have to admit I'm making better progress than I thought I would as a dwarven noble warrior on DA Origins. I'm kind of missing throwing fireballs around and freezing people on the spot as a mage but it's still fun. I've managed to do the Circle tower and the urn of sacred ashes missions. Still need to recruit the elves and go to my old home town of Orzammar for the dwarves that'll be interesting. I've only been brought down twice so far once in the circle tower the other time in the fight with Zevran who I killed in the end. So I'd consider that a good run so far

    The Game Thread!

agreed I'm not surprised it's been delayed but I am surprised it's taking as long as it is to really show us anything and give the publicity to the game that it deserves. I admit I have my doubts about buying it but unless they start showing things that swing me over to their side they'll be lucky if I even pick it up out of the bargain bin.

    The PC Thread

Have to agree with @Hughesy but some games that are 32bit you can download 64bit installers to get them to work. They don't always work though but some do I have downloaded a few for my Monkey Island games. Haven't played it for a while but that's a fun series of games to play. You'd have to google them up for yourself though as they're kind of dotted all over the place.

Will be interesting to see how Teddy Sheringham gets on next season in his first managerial job. I always thought he'd make a good manager given he was quite an intelligent player. Always put himself in the right spots for maximum effect for goalscoring  Jurgen Kllinsmann was like that as well.

Yeah that's what I love about PC gaming as well the ability to tweak games controls exactly how you like them. It's the main reason why I buy the majority of my games for PC.

    The Game Thread!

yeah looking forward to playing it myself I have it but haven't got round to playing it yet probably will once I'm finished my current DA run. After I've played 1 and 2 as well first as I got all 3 games in one go

    Announcing F1 2015

why am I not surprised May be CM  finally decided that adding career mode was important...  :'( I wouldn't be counting my chickens yet if I were you but lets hope so.

    The Game Thread!

worked fine for me last night when using it to activate the witcher games . Not played it yet though as I've just started a new DA Origins playthrough as a dwarven noble warrior. Benn interesting so far given I've not really played as a warrior before but I'm hoping now that I've beaten the game as a mage I can beat the game as other classes as well. I've done the Origin opening level now I'm at Ostagar at the start of the main story.

    F1 2015 Game Ideas?

Well, no thank you, Formula 1/A cars in pCars are not good... The formula C, B etc is great, but not FA(because of lisense issues...) But my simple idea of codemasters: Dont hide the game, make a trailer or gameplay.... And just one quastions, did CM really say that Championship mode will be 1 practice session, while the Pro Season Mode or what it was called will have alle 3 practice sessions? I believe they did yes

    F1 2015 No Career mode??

You still had tobuild a reput6stion and stuff up though in order to get the good contracts which is the general principle of career mode anyway yes they srtipped the other stuff but the basics were always left in. F1 2014 did not even have that, you could start with what team you want. And after the season you could choose what you want again Actuslly you do as if you want to keep doing it season after season you have to reset it as I was dropped by McLaren at the end of Season 1 and moved to Sauber for season 2 you can only choose your starting point not whether the team keeps you if you want to do another with them you have to reset career mode to the beginning again. Ok, maybe I remember little bit wrong, since all I did in F1 2014 was to work on my database mod. And the reason was simple, the career mode was so boring that I rather used time make gameplay better then acctually play the career mode. Everything that was good about, is taken out instead of improve it. Like the press interview etc was a very good idea, but it needed some work so what did they do? remove it. Live the life with the paddock etc was a good idea but still could need some improvement, so what did they do? removed it. And the cars changing tiers each season was a very good idea, since it game the career much more then the same order each season, but they removed it. So I do believe F1 2015 can be better then 2014, but I can easly wait to F1 2016 with career mode if they then make it PROPERLY...(ofc we dont even know if there will be career mode or anything then, but IF...) So for me career in F12014 was the same as championship mode with youre name and helmet. But ofc, that is MY opinion, so I do understand people are little bit frustrating about no career mode since the way career mode is, it would not be that hard to make it for the new engine too, but I personly don't care as long as the rest of the game is better. So maybe I dont have to spend hours after hours creating a database mod to make the game better for me(and with over 10 000 downloads I guess people agree on that...) Dont get me wrong, nothing against Codemasters but the last 1-2games have felt so.... lazy copy-paste game... I do agree with you as I believe we need these features in and working properly and I agree the career mode on the last 2 games have been pretty basic including nothing more but the bare minimum so that it can be classified a career mode. I do agree it is barely a career mode but as you said 2013/14 have both been copy/paste with the exception of the classics

    F1 2015 No Career mode??

yeah I play career mode on all my sports games it's a mode that gets used an awful lot with me I don't have Moto GP14 but I do have the 2013 one and the career mode is quite fun on that as well Yes we would as it's been done before as the F1CE game did it. Oh really thanks, I hope the lack of career wont be too disappointing as we do get 2014 content aswell well it will feel pointless really for those that did bother to get 2014 which I did. You still had tobuild a reput6stion and stuff up though in order to get the good contracts which is the general principle of career mode anyway yes they srtipped the other stuff but the basics were always left in.

    F1 2015 No Career mode??

there is a pro mode and championship mode which are basically 1 season modes but that's it. Pro mode is basically a hyped up sim style mode. Championship mode is basically pick a driver and race the season as them.
