    F1 2015 No Career mode??

Not just F1 but most if not all sports games have one of some sort whether they're good or bad is irrelevant but generally it's done on pretty much all sports games. As I've got careers on the go on most of mine atm either on my consoles or on PC. So why it5's been scrapped here is anyone's guess. But I do spend most of my time in these modes when playing the games. So it's unlikely I'll be getting it and if I do decide to I won't be paying any more than about £10. While the graphics do look  pretty good and I'll  give CM a big thumbs up on that but this should be coming as standard anyway. Without a mode that is worth sinking time into though I can't see myself paying full price. I do agree with you @Millsey55 though I wou8ld have preffered they kept the October release and had the career mode than rush one out in June without one.

    Announcing F1 2015

Nothing wrong with talking about it on the forum. Just in the appropriate place please, so people who don't particularly want to read about it don't have to plough through it to find the on-topic stuff. Ye fair point but this is the only forum im a active member of as im sure many others are to. I only visit this site in the hope cm release info that gets me exited about the sport I love but I have nothing good to say about the 2015 release so what would you rather me post? Say nice things about Pcars and discuss the features and wow factour the game has with like minded ppl or constantly whine that cm are so shit at marketing games they give us NOTHING to talk about!!! This is the official forum for the F1 2015 game yet what info is there to find on here? Questions are never answered by a dev or mod on here either so pointless asking anything you might like to know about the game. Like I said I can see what your saying but tbh if we werent talking about a what a great game Pcars is we would all be saying how crap cm really are at marketing there product that most will have in 27 days! Just saying @vtidixon ..., We haven't even seen anything to do with F1 2015 really other than screenshots, so how can individuals compare pCARS to something that hasn't been viewed...? - It's just pointless If people like pCARS then that's fine, everyone has their own likes/dislikes but, when people start trying to compare it to F1 2015 my mind just baffles!... I think the majority of members here who have pCARS are essentially comparing it to Codemasters' last-gen titles, such as 2010/2011/2012/2013/2014 and automatically assume 2015 will be the same, which is just ridiculous... F1 2015 is as Codemasters have said; A totally new concept built from the ground up, and I think people forget that...? Perhaps but you're also forgetting something, Yes they have said this but everything else that has been said about the game leads me to think that aside from having next gen graphics everything else about the game is worse than the previous games. It's almost as if CM are trying to test our patience by seeing how much they can get away with before we stop buying into their rubbish. Unfortunately for CM I have to say I've reached the edge of mine and people around me have always noted how patient a person I am and that I'm one of the most patient people they know.

    Announcing F1 2015

Indeed makes me even more glad I've taken the stance I have with 2015as everything is making me think I'm dead right to skip this years game. Still I've got plenty of other games to keep me going so will stick with them.

    F1 2015 No Career mode??

Yes we would as it's been done before as the F1CE game did it.

    The Game Thread!

yeah I've never played the Witcher series but I have to say I am tempted to give it a go I've never played them, but seen the reviews for it and think i'll have to pick it up! yeah yesterday I found all 3 games on sale on Steam for £50 which includes 1 and 2 and will add 3 once it's released. I grabbed it as I felt considering how they looked I thought it was a pretty good price. Haven't playe3d them yet though but it looked too good an offer to turn down given the high ratings the series has got.

    Announcing F1 2015

I agree it may just b the hardware he's using as it wor5ks perfectly fine for me as well. I'm on PS4 and everything is great so it must be differences between hardware. yeah I'm on PC and I wouldn't say my machine is mega top but it's not far off. My system I would say meet6s the recommended specs for P Cars so I can pretty much have everything turned up pretty high on it. Because when I bought my machine I made sure the specs at least matched what the PS4/XB1 could do , as my PC is a custom build system it has more ram and better graphics than the consoles but everything else is around more or less the same. It did cost a fair amount though but it was worth it.

    Announcing F1 2015

I agree it may just b the hardware he's using as it wor5ks perfectly fine for me as well. There's nothing wrong with my friends hardware I can assure you... I may add, it wasn't the graphics or framerate I was referring to as those are fine on High/Ultra settings - I was referring to the bugs that he(and I) have experienced while racing... But anyway, who cares about Project CARS, its F1 2015 we should be discussing here to be honest...  I never said there was but sometimes differnt hardware/software combinations react differently to different programs that's one of the things I've learnt in in my years of computing that's what I meant

    Project CARS

yeah the karts are hard. Gave up on them in the end and decided to start at Formula Rookie level instead. I will come back and have another go eventually as I want to do a career where I go from the bottom to the top for the Zero to Hero part of career. I'll be worrying about that later though

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars

Dive-bomb into PCars AI like in the crap Codemasters games and your race is over. You actually have to race the AI like in real life, waiting for a mistake or slipstream them. That's what I love about PCars Formula A. yeah you hasve to in most of the disciplines although I do race with damage off and all that it still feels good

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars

I would imagine it will be as things are going to be continuously worked on as I think that's constantly been said by the people that worked on it up until now. I think the main focus recently was just get the game out so people can finally play it given the number of delays it's faced. After all one of the good things about it being a new gen game is that the game can be patched quickly and quietly behind the scenes and get everything updated with minimal fuss not something that can be easily done with the old PS3/360 gen. So hope4fully things like this can be rectified swoon.

Fair enough your choice of course. I personally prefer P cars over Assetto Corsa though

    Announcing F1 2015

I think if you like a good relatively easy to get into sim then you'll enjoy it. I didn't find myself having to play around with the graphics settings to much at first I had a problem with the spray flickering when I was doing a wet race but it just needed some tweaks to the Anti Aliasing settings I had set up which I resolved but aside from that it pretty much worked out of the box framerate wise it looks good for me as I do have a fairly decent card in the GTX 770 4gb. But obviously everybody is different.

    Announcing F1 2015

It's because the FOM tries to rule everything with dictatorship. I'm starting to hate FOM compared to other racing series. At Youtube, for example, DTM posts full race recaps and onboard sessions, which is amazing of course in case you missed the race or want a replay from a different angle. FOM, however, hides all footage on their website - only accessible when you pay regularly to view a few selected videos (from the massive amount of footage that is recorded during a Grand Prix weekend). Yeah I think that's the problem. I think it's their insistence to being control freaks is the problem here after al a lot of the stuff thaqt has been asked for here isn't in the game. I don't think it's entirely CM's fault because I think driver transfers and choosing our own number would be done if it was allowed. Most of these things I'd suspect would be very easy to implement and obviously are incorporated into a lot of games like Fifa/NBA/NHL because obviously it's been allowed there. I do find it strange that the FIA/FOM would behave in such a way because a lot of the ideas that have been put forward on this forum have been pretty good ones, and could be implemented easily if the license wasn't so strict. You say that, yet we have lost career mode. So it might not be restrictions from FOM keeping number changes from happening. We'll never know, unless it winds up in the game one day. I do agree with that and I'm not saying CM are completely blameless as I don't think that they are but a lot of the problems I think that CM are having with  a lot of suggestions on this forum is going against what  the FOM are allowing them to do. We'd only know for sure if we knew what the license entailed. But I do think that if FOM eased up on the reins and allowed CM to use some creativity we might actually get a better game all round. codemasters don't help themselves SJ, we have to trust in what they say as we cant read the license.  each time I take codies at there word and each time a few months later the words change. last year for example luke spring made a big point of telling us the new game would not be called F1 2015, few months later its called F1 2015. funny how luke is now gone!  Maybe but what exactly are CM supposed to do? It's not exactly easy for them to do anything about it. The only other option wou8ld be to forget about doing an F1 game in the first place. I think they're only going along with it as they know a lot of people do want to play F1 games. I admit that a lot of excitement has gone out of it thanks to 2014 and the lack of career mode in 2015 but it is what it is. I'm pretty sure they'd give us moer if they could but in this instance I fear it's CM's hands that are tied

    Project CARS

Not so sure about that :p This is the ending of a race I did 2 or 3 nights ago, I was flabbergasted by the blatant cheating and the fact that if I'd pulled the same move I'd have been given no chance to recover before flying well off circuit, but also impressed because I didn't think an AI would drive like that lol. Loved how close it was across the line, 0.030. Though this doesn't happen often, seems like certain track and car combinations give you better AI racing than others do. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHEG4UH6LJw Agreed plus with all the various different cars each handling differently too means that every race you do is a different challenge. I haven't played the game today but that's what I've felt about the game so far based on the practice races and first season that I have done. I have enjoyed it and intend on doing more but so far it's been great fun. I've not found too many bugs in it other than sometimes on the replays where al the cars don't take off the same time as you and stay on the grid. So far though that's the only real annoying bug I've found. This only happens sometimes though

    Project CARS

Yeah it's a bit tough at first I felt that too but after a while I figured it out. The key thing to do is make sure you don't push too hard to early and allow your tyres to warm up then it really starts coming to you then

    Project CARS

I think their pretty much equal but not sure as I'm not driving the Formula A's atm My first season was at Formula Rookie level and I'm racing in the Ginetta Junior championship in my next season.

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars

think it already has You don't need a wheel. Controller works just fine but you need to adjust the settings. The standard settings for controllers are not ideal Of course you need a wheel for a racing game like Project Cars, man. Look, a controller is perfect for games like those from Codemasters as they are arcade. But simulation is something different, get a proper steering wheel for it.  You really don't need a wheel for pCARS. They have been saying for years you need a wheel for CM F1 series as well and now suddenly it's so arcade that you don't need a wheel anymore?  pCARS is SIM but you can tweak it to arcade as well. Like I said before, if you play pCARS with a controller you will need to adjust the settings because the standard settings are not ideal for controllers.  Exactly that's why I chose to get it. I can't race with a wheel mainly because of my disability but with the assists and things you don't really need to in this game. Obviously it has a pure sim style type of feel and racing style to it but it's mainly there for those that want it. But if you don't then it's got the option of turning those things off. I'm playing the game on a keyboard and handling it just fine. I've already won 2 championships in my career and an Invitational event just now as well. so it can be done
