going to get some practice in this week with some motor racing ready for PCars
-
Nice one
-
well they do say there's always one :p
-
Sorry may have misunderstood but F1 is out in June and pcars should be out this week. Agreeed apparently P cars has officially gone gold now so officially there shouldn't be any more delays.
-
Don't worry it's likely that within a couple of years you'll be playing them again :p I very much doubt it, Bournemouth have a £600m sugar daddy so have money to spend. maybe but if it's not spent in the right area's then it doesn't matter. They'll need to use it correctly to stand any chance.
-
Agreed I suspect we'll be seeing something next week
-
Agreed it is a good fun game but nothing to get to excited about I don't think but it does have one step up on F1 though already in that it has a career mode haven't got round to starting one yet mostly because I've only really had time to do a couple of practice rally's

Yeah I've got International Snooker as well. Not quite as good as the Blade ones but it's not bad Won the Irish masters final 3-1 in the end and jumped up 50 places in the world rankings as I was 107 in the world and now 59 after that tournament Yea I'd agree with that. Just booted up Poolnation FX, man it takes a long time to load the game. Really nice graphics though :) Pretty fun, although I much prefer Snooker compared to pool. yeah it was a bit slow to load for me as well but as you say it's a really nice looking game seeing as it's made by a studio on a tight budget

yeah the last one Blade did was in 2011 but I think they went bankrupt after that. Shame really as they did a pretty good job up until that last one. The 2011 one was bit of a disappointing one as it did miss a few features like spots on the tables. But the 2009 game backwards were all pretty good games. Been playing the 2004 and 2009 versions as they're the ones I tend to like playing the most. Admitte4dly they're not PS4/XB1 level but they're as close to official as we're likely to get as like CM's F1 games it was a licensed series. Playing pretty well right now as I've just made my second final of the season in the Irish masters Lost my first one at the British open hoping to do better this time though on the 2004 game.

Already got it, but I got it for free due to having Xbox Live Gold :p yeah it's a good fun game I had to pay as I didn't have gold but it's a good game been playing a lot of snooker/pool lately on my PC that's probably why it showed up on my radar. Had a blast with it last night. Only cost £8 though

I think Dirt rally was built on the old engine not 100% sure on this but I think I read it somewhere so may not have any bearing. We'll have to see though.

Anyone looking for a good new gen pool/snooker game for the XB1 should check out poolnation FX it's a pretty good little game Had a go at it last night and had some good fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GSsbaycW1fU

Isn't that what career mode was for the majority of the CM F1 games? It had no atmosphere, just like GP mode with all the tracks in order and a points table. You basically turned up, raced and then on to the next track... Wouldn't be hard to implement at all. Even something like that is enough to justify a purchase personally. yeah certainly in the latter ones it felt a bit bolted on but at least there was one which I think is the main point here. Yes it may have been limited but at least it was there for those that enjoyed an extensive moed where you could create your own story. Obviously it goes to show what an achievement F1 2010 was it's just a shame CM haven't been able to keep those standards up.

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars
sjsharp2010 replied to Naeemali007's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I think PCars in general has moer options in both single and multi player that's what's pretty much being said here -
Well in your case yeah but then you've had access to it all along the rest of us haven't had that luxury and won't do until it's released officially.
-
they may have been using the controller or not configured it well enough but I guess we'll have to wait and see
-
I just cant believe how realistic that looks, best racing game (graphics wise) I have ever seen and I am so excited about playing it I think it's safe to say most if not all of us are
-
Agreed it's going to be one of the most costly decisions that CM have made in their history I suspect. I hope they learn from this and fast

Haha thought you might, it's going to be hard but I'm sure you'll still enjoy it bud. :) can't remember which rally game it was, but it might've been a McRae game and I managed ok with a keyboard. I'd do custom races first mate and start with the 60s Mini. So far I've found the easiest stages are the Greek ones. The Welsh stages are the hardest but also my favourites. Can't wait for more content to be added, especially Hill Climbs. When you do career you have to then buy a car, after that you need to hire an engineer (you already start with a crew chief) I went with the best I could afford. The longer you keep the chief the better he gets. With engineers you'll notice you hire them for a certain time frame, at the moment mine has 26 stages left at which point I can extend the contract or hire a new one. You can have more than one but it costs a lot to unlock. Hope you enjoy it mate :) yeah at least it's one step up on the new F1 game in that it's got a career mode. Besides I've ended upsieddown in ditches before so it's no biggie in these games. I also normally get a few practice runs in before racing proper anyway so I'll be prepared before I take the career on. Still downloading atm got about another 25mins on the clock. Will do a couple of runs on it tonight to get a good feel I hope. Had a g oat it now and did 3 stages of the greek one and finished 9th. I think so far for my first go that's good seeing I don't know the tracks that well. Fills me with hope I can improve though once I get to grips with it all though
-
Yeah I might struggle but that doesn't mean I can't have fun with it but it depends on how the bottom levels perform are like as usually I play at that level. I have played the colin Mcrae games and that without too many problems so we'll see. Besides like Hughesy sometimes I enjoy a challenge Edit decided to try and take it on after giving it a few moments thought. Got it downloading now
-
Yeah same here the more I've heard about both games the more I'm convinced I'm right to vote in favour of PCars and skip F1 2015 and buy the latter later maybe at bargain bin prices for £10 or something. I think I'd have got P cars either way but the fact career mode has been ditched has killed off any enthusiasm I might have had for getting F1 2015

Yea it's a proper challenge, I've been waiting for a rally sim since RBR which I still play. Did take me a long time to get my wheel settings set to what I like. Just uploading a stage from Wales which I finished .022 behind 1st, and it's very obvious where I lost it. Almost had a huge moment where I went nearly 90deg on a straight, but managed to save it without losing too much. Setup plays a key role I have found. For me I need a lot of rear brakes with the 60s MINI and open diff so I can slide. The wipers don't bother me too much, but it can be hard to stay on track if you go off line and yea the countdown is annoying. I love the no OSD settings, as it means I have to push right to the end with not knowing if I'm quick or slow. When they add hill climbs I'm going to be very happy. At this moment there's only three locations, but each rally is pretty long compared to previous Dirt games. This isn't a game for people who aren't rally sim fans, as it can be pretty hardcore. Dirt 3 was very easy with very wide stages. Have you noticed that the exe is called Dirt 4? I wonder if they will change the name to that or keep the rally name. I'd prefer it to stay as it is, as its nothing like the other Dirt games. yeah I haven't got this yet but I was never any good at the Richard Burns one. I may get this at some point it's just not my priority atm. Are you on a wheel or the controller ? I have found this game quite hard, but definitely do-able on the controller, even if I turn off the assists such as traction control. Of course if you go straight for the Group B's and go hurtling through a forest in the middle of the night when it's raining then you are going to have a fight on your hands. And there are no flashbacks. I spent the whole of last night trying to master the first wales stage in a group B. It's pretty unforgiving, but quite satisfying when you get it right. Felt a real sense of achievement when I got the mini under 4 minutes ! great video hughesy. Was this question aimed at @Hughesy or me? I think he uses a wheel when he races in my case I use the keyboard but that's the peripheral that works best for me when playing racing games. I know a lot of people say get a wheel or use a controller but it just doesn't seem to work for me as I have tried it. With my disability I just find it best to just stick with what works
