one would think so given it's supposed to be full on sim. However I'm not sure we'll get an answer t that until the game comes out. Well if the cars handle the same as championship mode with the assists off then this mode is completly useless. The point is we have always been able to turn all the assists off and go on the hardest AI if we wanted. Why they can let the player have the full race weekend and decide what assists the want I don't know. Just add the 3 practise sessions to championship mode then there can't be complain! I agree but by the way that @Britpoint and @justbiglee have been talking maybe 2015 is configured differently than the earlier ones. Dosen't change my opinion of the game I'm just speculating that maybe it is. I suspect though as I said we'll only know for sure when the game comes out

Na I agree career mode needs to be restored on single player first but I'm saying it's easy to do a multiplayer career to improve on the co op championship they have too? I believe its been mis interprted what people wanted we want a broadcast feel with real faces etc but with our own person not the AI? But do you guys agree with the concept of my idea or am I being far feteched do you think? For the moment it's a little far fetchedas I think C|M have to get the main game sorted first once it has though then maybe it can happen but it's probably something thaqt for me they'#ll need to look at in maybe 2/3 years time once they've got 2015 and assuming they keep the license 2016(complete with Career mode I hope) out of the way first

I know what its aimed at being and why there aren't a massive amount of cars, but with it being started like 5 years ago its still a little disappointing. As I said though the range of car types is fantastic, and the DLC should make that even better. I'm glad there is a reason that the AI seem a little easy in career mode. In a way I quite like the idea of it getting more difficult as career goes on, although in reality I didn't like it on Forza 4. It was confusing me why I was watching some races in career where the player would win by miles, some in career where they would struggle and others in different game modes where they would be miles behind on the same car/track combo running similar times. I'm still worried about the lap time simming problems though with the AI As am I tbh as it'll make it easier tofind a level that I enjoy racing at although I do hope I can get comfortable and reasonably competitive at a level in all the cars. I can understand what @Hughesy is saying though it should be up to us to adjust it manually if we want to with an on/off switch for tweaking things how those that play at the top end want things. I'm not an experienced sim plasyer or the quickest of drivers so it being a little easier in the lower formulas will definitely suit me I think. I can definitely understand @Hughesy's concerns though

What's even stranger ids that everyone's talking about it in here instead of in the thread in the off topic section where the actual thread topic is

That's a valid point but what if they just simply merged this years career mode and make it online for this year anyways i.e you start with Verstappen and Ill be Sainz and we make our way up online together? But i completely agree they need to bring back the custom career for single player but online has more profitability for them don't you think? I think you drastically underestimate the importance, and the number of people who play offline. As do obviously CM I think amnd it's certainly going to hurt them when they find very little money coming in. I don't think it's as much that they underestimate the user base, so much as they don't understand it. They put a lot into the creation of broadcast style presentation, because a lot of people wanted that and asked for it. But what they failed to realize was no one wanted it at the cost of career mode. That too but you'd think that with the number of yearly sports games that come out all of which carry a career mode as standard that it would be one of the last things they'd ditch guess we were wrong on that

Well we need single player career restored first before we worry about creating an online version of it I think
-
not suer the first one is compatible with modern day computers I'm afraid. Some of the more recent ones will work on modern systems with some persuasion but the very first one I'm not too sure about.

I think we need to see if Big Lee can make something happen for us this week he's obviously seen the forums and read our concerns lets see how he and CM respond to that now. Hopefully this will get them to hurry up with something not saying it will happen but let's hope it does. I think it's time for a mimi ceasefire and see what their response is.

Agreed 100% I'm not going anywhere e near it till it's at least £10. Because I'm only going to pay the same amount that CM| have put in in terms of effort which seems to me practically nothing
-
That's a good question Codies do you have the answer? :p The only answer I can think of is they're just grabbing at any income they can Agreed there isn't really anything new and that's what the problem is unless CM can get really creative and do something extraordinary I'd say it's unlikely they'll hold on to the license
-
Indeed it's almost as if they don't care about delivering a good F1 game
-
Exactly asnd this is something the F1 2015 is lacking and I think ultimately CM could well pay the price for it. YEs P cars does lack in terms of officiasl championships but it makes up for that by giving us a lot of variety and for me that's where P cars will leave F1 2015 behind.

somebody's clearly trying very hard to fish for compliments :p

not too sure about that I'm not too sure they are confident look at the promotion games like F1 2010 and 11 got they were confident in them as they were good games Grid Autosport also got a fair bit of promotion and the games deserved it as they we re good quality I can't see any of that in F1 2015. We know CM can do better than this we would just like them to show it.
-
tbh I think they only took this long because they wanted to make sure it was a quality product and it's starting to look that way to me
-
yeah it could have changed obviously since he's left but it's not something I'm worried about tbh.

Honestly I don't, I need to catch back up with the F1 stuff as I was largley looking after Overlord last week so I'll know more about what's next on Monday. I did play the game a bit on Wednesday afternoon as we got a new build in, it was my first time playing it on a wheel and oh man it was good - I was playing on a T300Rs, that wheel knows how to kick! (might have to get one for myself) On Thursday we (not me personally) took the game and the wheel/playseat down to Williams to get some feedback on the handling from their test driver (forgive me I've forgot his name - it wasn't Susie, it was the young guy who is about 20ish - he was a bit of a gamer too as it turned out). I know we filmed some of it too so hopefully we'll share that if we can. Pleased to say he liked it, he gave some good feedback for the dev team to work on too. As for your original question what is it you'd like to know next? I know you all want to know everything but if you could pick just one bit of news what would it be? Perhaps something like how this broadcast stu8ff you've supposedly added to the game works might be a good start.

Shouldn't be a huge problem for however long they continue to use the current engine. Yeah once the basics are in it is largely copy and paste just need to reorganise the pecking order and add any new yearly features that are being introduced for that year as CM did from 2010-14 Ideally without sacrificing other popular features though.

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars
sjsharp2010 replied to Naeemali007's topic in General Discussion
well they're adding several bits and pieces to P cars over the next few years judging by the info I've seen including extra cars and more tracks as well I believe which will make it be even better. I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't try adding a few classic tracks in there as well like say the old Hockenheim track that went through the forests as I believe it was in one of the previous builds so wouldn't be surprised to see things like that added in future as a possible optional track to race on as DLC or something. -
/I agree this is what should have happened the broadcast style should have been added on top of what was already there I think. It doesn't have to be perfect first time out, as long as it's tweaked and adjusted later where required. That's what you should get with yearly games as long as the items are refined and adjusted it' doesn't matter if it's not perfect first time out as we know it can be tough first time out with a new feature especially for a company like CM given their resources are limited but they have to show they're willing to make an effort to try to get things right.

Can F1 2015 be close to Project Cars

Actually there is 3 career challenges, where you "the driver" on your own hand select which path you want to go and which car classes you want to race in... Yeah so in a sense it's kind of got 3 career modes either way though it's looking a far better package than what F1 2015 is. -

Same here only in my case it's my 37th Agreed I generally do like CM's games but the removal of career mode is kind of the last straw for me especially after the clumsy AI on F1 2013 which I complained pretty heavily about as well. I recognise CM have limited resources and can only do so much with them. However they have used them better than this in the past and should be continuing to do so. They're just not focusing their efforts in the right areas. I have to admit after Grid Autosport I thought the CM I liked was back but since then it's been the same old story. The idea of making mistakes is to learn from them not keep repeating them. It's getting harder and harder to defend their actions at this point and I have to admit up until now I have supported them but there comes a time when you have to say enough is enough and I'm sorry to say I think I'm reaching that point
