got to say I'm really enjoying Final Fantasy 13 on the PS3 very colourful game. Finding it a bit confusing in places but it's good fun.

yeah that was good think I had the Amiga version of the Mansell game or something though as I never had the Snes although my brother had one I think he preferred the console though whereas I preferred a proper computer to game on although I don't think he had that game I do think he had a couple of the Mario games at the time. It's the only game I've got flagged as one I'm interested atm. I know there's an new ME coming but that's not until next year. Aside from P cars and ME4 right now there aren't really any games that are catching my eye

This issue has always been a factor since 2010 really. However, when you understand how to setup the car and 'modify' your driving style a little, it becomes quite easy to beat the AI...(Well, it is for me personally anyway). yeah I can moer or less get to ,my objectives in the rain as well andI'm not the best when it comes to racing in the rain although because of my disability I do use assists. Well I meant just the F1 series of titles ;) I have been playing CM games since the mid/late eighties! LOL if it makes you feel any better so have I. I used to love the old Dizzy games I haven't really thought about it TBH. On a side note though, come November F1 2015 will probably be cast aside as it were anyway, SW Battlefront is the one for me this year! ;) ...I still have 2015 on Pre-Order, but in all honesty, if I don't see anything 'concrete' in the next few weeks that presents something which will make 2015 to be a worthy purchase, then that Pre-Order is definitely at risk; AND..., the more I see of ProjectCARS is really testing my patience ATM!. That's why I've got Pcars in order as it's answering all the questions I have of it positively I can't say the same for F1 2015 atm
-
For me personally probably not but it may go some way towards improving things for some.
-
yeah I'm looking forward to ME4 because if it looks anything like the Star wars game it'll be fun. Apparently doesn't have an single player campaign so not suer I'll be getting it. But I'll definitely be getting ME4
-
yeah it seems the odd number games get the short end of the straw it's almost as if CM like screwing something up on the odd number releases 2011 it was the graphics being a little cartoony 2013 the AI were all over the place 2015 no career mode 2010/12 and 14 at least feel like half decent attempts. Yes 2014 lacked a lot of extras but the basics felt right to me. Why can't CM when they're given praise for something right stick wwithit and just tweak it a little to make it fresh not just ditch it. I don't see any other games companies removing things all the time when they're popular features.

LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME yeah that's what I was thinking that's why I flagged it.

I'm not sure, but from what I know the licences for the previous seasons should still be within CV's hands. If that would be the case it would be possible to have a career mode with seasons 2010 to 2015. Or 2016, since 2015 won't have a career mode. But I'm not sure if the licences work that way, although it was the case with EA's F1 Challenge. It's possible I wouldn't count on it with C|M though given it would still take resources away from developing the main game to do this plus all the tracks and all that would need building onto the new engine. I do think keeping this thread active will be a good idea though as hopefully it'll encourage CM to restore career modefor 2016 assuming they continue to hold the license.

Mines just sitting around gathering dust lol so has my PS3 lately but am planning on making use of it today as I got a few games for it recently that I hadn't hada chance to play plus I've got an extra HDMI cable now for it so I can put it into one of my spare HDMI ports

It is awesome :) On a side note, I've just had an 11GB patch download for it. Haven't looked at the notes yet but I will later. Also some big news on the private forum. ----------------- A very short update for now as I'm jet-lagged to hell and back but the good news is that we will be continuing the WMD setup for pCARS2. We will open new forum sections when the game (pCARS1) ships to support the new users and you WMD experts will all have access and we'd greatly appreciate your assistance advising new users. I'll be implementing a new non-profit return form of WMD for pCARS2 (to avoid the FSA hassle) and will set a purchase time limit of 2-3 months for those who want to take part. Following this, involvement will be closed. The tiers won't have the higher cost options that we currently have (probably capped at 100 pounds with excellent benefits) and those who want to approach me personally to invest in the new game can do so providing it's at or above 50k. I planned to release the above information with a new web page explaining the details of each purchase tier but we're insanely busy and haven't found the time. I'm aware though that I promised an update so here it is. In short, we want to continue and extend the community involvement in the pCARS brand which has proven to be so very effective and we want to ensure this great community lives on and thrives into the future. ------------- Yeah it all sounds and looks pretty good only a couple of weeks to go

Lee said after the announcement that you can't use your own name, you just pick a driver and drive as them. How much more official can it get? But anyway, to those who still hold hope for career mode... now you're just being rude
-
As frustrated as I do get sometimes with my PC when it misbehaves I don't think I'd ever do that to my PC either. I generally take good care of my machines given how expensive they are.
-
I'm pretty sure I won't be either In fairness though then it probably wasn't official as no one was really clear as to what the game was aboutit is pretty much official now though I think
-
same here really I'm usually at my strongest where I've got a nice long straight and I can throw one u the inside and get past the AI. I donj't think I cfould get away 7with it against human opponents but I can against AI as I'm not exactly the smoothest driver either. This one of the main reasons why I stick to offline modes because I don't have the quickest of reaction times but also because I only have 1 hand on the controls because of my disability I can't pu8ll off fancy tricks lke many others can either in games. I've often got my butt handed to me in games like ||Fifa and that by my brother so I know I'm not that good. When it cvomes to thinking games like Snooker though I've probably got the edge on him. |Especially as I have won the odd tournament on my snooker games and quite a few century breaks as well in fact got one a couple of days ago 104 I think I finished on I think my highest is about 110 or 116 I've never made a 147 (maximum)though. But then when it comes to that sort of game my disability doesn't really hamper me as it's more of a strategy game than a speed one.

I can see where you're coming from @Wynterdust but if I was working on the game I'd be wanting as much in as I can get right from the get go even if it did mean a delay in the games release. I wouldn't expect 100% perfection but at least try and get al the bits in and refine them later if needed after all that's what most companies tend to do they don't remove popular parts of the game but refine them and tbh I think that's all the career mode needs I think. I've suggested a few ways they could go about this on this forum and on the old one to make career mode more interesting without having to really change anything else. I think the fact is though is the fact this item was there and now isn't is what is the problem. I know I'd have rather had the game in October with career mode than have the game earlier in June without it. I hope it can be added for 2016 though because although they may get away with it just for this year given it's their first next gen attempt next year it'll be considered unforgiveable if it's not restored to the game. We need to make sure they know it so they can fix this mistake for next year I agree with you. Removing career mode is an incredibly risky and judging by the reaction of many on here, a potentially fatal blow to their sales. They could have done a lot with the career moving onto the current consoles such as yours and others suggestions on the forum. As you say, having it in the game and then removed makes it worse. If it was never in from the start it wouldn't be as big an issue. It doesn't help that they've removed features in the past either and haven't done the best job with adding new features. Season Challenge, Time Attack (not trial), Scenarios... All are features that could be removed, or rather should never have been implemented until everything else was working correctly. I cannot disagree on the last point either. An October release with career would definitely have been much better than an earlier release without it. And as you say, hopefully they'll realise that it is a major feature that a large amount of people want and will add it to 2016 or even as an emergency update for 2015 later in the year. I think potentially the most frustrating thing about every game so far is that every single one of them includes something that makes the game good, but none of them put all these features into one game to make it great. The potential is there but it's just not being realised. Yeah and if the game doesn't sell it could mean the end of their time with the license too given I hear it's up for renewal soon. Whicfh is another reason why I'd have made sure that I got everything in had I been in their shoes.

The early PS1 games didn't and neither did the Geoff Crammond games but pretty much since the late PS2 days and all of CM's games up until now have had a career mode. But then as I said in an earlier post most sports games these days come with it as standard. I think most companies realise these days it's just as important to attract the single player crowd as it is for those that like to go online with the game. I don't use the online section and personally I couldn't really care less about it. I know that area is popular and fair enough. But for a game series to have career mode all the way through from the get go and then to suddenly ditch it for me has got to be one of the most stupidest decisions I've ever heard. Especially given it's the core element of a good single player experience.
-
As much as I'd love them too I'd doubt they would they may bring it back for 2016 assuming they still have the license then if they do then I'll be back but for now it's a no deal from me
-
Canada's one of my strongest tracks I'd say Australia and Monaco are probably my weakest along with Japan. But then I've always struggled at Suzuka in car racing games I can do OK on a Moto GP game I've got where you race there but of course that's bikes not cars
-
I think ew'd all like the answer to that as the series got off to such a promising start it's such a shame CM haven't found a way to capitalise on it. Aside from Grid Autosport last year I don't think CM have come close to really hitting the nail on the head with delivering a great product in their racing games yes Grid 2 and the Dirt games are good fun and I do enjoy them but none of them meet the kind of quality I see in F1 2010 and Autosport.

yeah I've done multiple career modes on the older ones (and will likely continue to do so) in fact got career modes on 2010 and 2014 on the go as well as I've been alternating between the 2 games just about to start my 3rd season on 2010 and just started my second on 2014 as last time I played that I did race 1 in Australia. kind of ironically though I'm racing for the same team in both in Sauber. I didn't intend my careers to play out that way it just happened. Finishe4d near the back end in Aus but it was still fun

Pretty bad I would imagine as a most sports games these days come with a career mode as standard. In fact in the past couple of days I've just started career modes on a couple of my snooker games Won 1 tournament and have got to a final on another which will certainly help my ranking points but then I've had a couple of stinkers too in that I've been knocked out straightaway. Given P cars has a career mode it's going to take something really special I think for F1 2015 to overcome it. Without a career mode I'd suspect that'll be impossible. I think these forums could get ugly post release. I just don't see it ending well. Most people will see it in the game store and automatically expect it to have career mode, since the previous games had it. Career mode is extremely important to a lot of people. I know I'm drastically less likely to get it without Career mode, I won't buy it for 60 without it that's for sure. Just look at the amount of "###% career mode" vids on Youtube lol. Neither am I. It's very important to me too as I only play single player so obviously rely a lot on that mode to keep me interested. Without it I'm not likely to buy it unless it's in a Steam sale for like £10. In fairness the rest of the game looks and sounds good but without career it's unlikely to hold my interest for very long. I'm just glad that P cars is at least sensible enough to include one. Whether it's any good we'll have to wait and see but it sounds more promising than F1 2015 atm.

Unfortunately it is looking that way. I don't like it either and I've got to admit I think it's a bad decision by CM and I'm certain it'll cost them a lot of sales including mine as without career mode I'm not likely to be buying it either. Still with P cars on the horizon I don't think missing 1 year will hurt me too much as I have plenty of other things to keep me going in the meantime.

Agreed and at least EA don't generally go about removing popular features like career mode either usually as they know what sells. They may not have removed it, but they've hardly changed it for years either... when CM do that, they take dog's abuse on here for not constantly making everything better :) TBF though what is there tochange all the major stuff is already in . I don't think there is much more they can do withit except maybe license more leagues which last I heard they're working on that.
