    Announcing F1 2015

Yeah I read that as there is no career mode at all just single mode seasons with the Pro season mode just being a hardcore sim mode. I don't like the sound of that but I'll wait and see if they're going to share any more details. I need more than just fancy graphics and a new track to keep me occupied We need some info every week or interest will fall away again, its dead on here again. I wouldn't say that besides I don't have any more info than what they've given us we just have to be patient Besides I'd say it's still livelier now than it has been since 2014 released anyway. Give them time ew know they're working on it these things can't be rushed otherwise you end up with an even more buggy mess of a game. They have a deadline of June 12  which is still 2 months away they're working towards that we just have to be patient.

Will a June release help sales

maybe not for the true fans of racing games but it might affect the casual audience a bit more. I guess only time will tell though as I could be wrong.

Will a June release help sales

I doubt they'll ever manage to do that as they need a look at the cars first and foremost before they can go in the game and they don';t get to see them any earlier than we do. IU think the June/July period is realistically probably the earliest it can be done.. Fortunately it won't have to go up against projects like PCars every year.  but this time around it could hurt things

    is f1 2013 worth buying on ps3

yeah F1 2010 and 2012 are my 2 favourites of the series and I play them the most in fact running through a career mode on 2010 again right now. About half way through my second season atm. What does it feel like compared to 2013? I was thinking of playing one of the games again. For the OP I'd say F1 2013 for certain if you use a controller as the assist bug in 2014 makes a the game very unenjoyable to me. I think drivability wise I think the 2010 cars aer probably the most stable. I haven't played 2013 for a while but from what I remember 2013 cars do tend to handle a lot like 2011 in that both games cars tend to be very twitchy 2013 being more twitchy than 2011. I tend to use a grip mod to assist with 2013 anyway when playing as I fin d the cars  a little too twitchy for my taste and what with the AI's aggressive nature in the game as wel it makes the game doubly hard. I've never won a championship in 2013 yet but that doesn't mean to say that I won't go back in and try at some point. I'm kind of alternating between 2010 and 14 atm and having great fun with both. Had a great battle with the Red bulls at Silverstone and that was great fun. Lost out to Vettel in the end of that race by 1 second but I beat Mark Webber  so felt good about that. I've had a lot of interesting battles in that middle stretch of the season and it's been fun.
  5. A lot of people  already create mods for that Not for Xbox 360 and PS3 though, which is what the OP was hoping for. (And sadly, there’s no way CM would be allowed to release an official patch that just applied the 2015 skins to the 2014 game, with no other changes.) not right now maybe but there is always a chance somebody might besides it's the only way it's likely to happen I think atm which is what the OP was asking.

Will a June release help sales

Well I saw on Amazon the latest release date estimate is May 15 for P Cars so going to be a tough one to call. Whether it is released for definite on that date though I can't say. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00KL32DCE/ref=s9_simh_gw_p63_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&pf_rd_s=center-2&pf_rd_r=06S70JZZCJBCFA11CXAN&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=455344027&pf_rd_i=468294 Last I read it's June 12 for F1 2015 so as things stand it looks like they're pretty much going head to head here atm
  7. A lot of people  already create mods for that you may want to look at race department website and download one as I don't think CM will be doing one themselves www.racedepartment.com

It may help but it may also depend on when P Cars get's released as well. ATM there isn't an official release date for it other than a possibility of May but we can't assume anything right now.

    Announcing F1 2015

given we never saw anything this week I'd imagine so.
  12. I would say CM probably do as they have to calibrate it all into their games as for he order I'm not too sure Based on my observations I'd say as fast as they are atm Mercedes do seem to struggle a little bit in this area. I would say Lotus and maybe Sauber aer probably 2 of the better ones given they do seem to be able to pull off longer stints when their cars aren't breaking down that is which seems to be happening a fair bit the last 2 years
  13. last I checked it was too looks like Hungarian/Russian though Have no clue as to what they're saying though.

    The Game Thread!

I really don't see much difference. If you want to change teams each year you can, so it's not really any different. The only thing you won't have is an email saying X team wants you. Racing games should be just that.  Take Pcars for example, you work your way up which is nice (but you can start in any class) you get emails which after 10 minutes of playing I no longer read, you get fake social media messages saying "Hughesy was amazing in that race" It's just pointless. These F1 games don't have different classes (would be awesome to have GP2 & 3) so there's not much they can do in career mode.  AnywaIy you don't have any details about it yet, all I know is I want to start in that pro mode. I like the idea of immersing myself in that kind of world though I find it much better building up a reputation and immersing myself in the atmosphere than just doing singular seasons. It doesn't matter how many divisions or sections there are to me as long as it's a career mode that that you can invest time in which the earlier ones are .

    The Game Thread!

Just had an epic British GP on F1 2010 had a great battle with the Red Bulls only lost to Vettel by 1 second in the end but what a race. Show's how good this series started with a career mode that was really worth playing. and now in 2015 it's a shame that we may not have a career mode at all. I know I should be keeping an open mind giving it's a game for a new gen and I plan to. But that fact does seem to be ringing quite loudly in the back of my mind atm.

    The Game Thread!

I've not played the latest thief but I played the original many years ago didn't like it that much the scenes ew re too dark and I struggled to see what I was doing. I've thought about getting it but I've always struggled with stealth type games e4ven with levels where you have to be stealthy in other games I sometimes struggle with.

    Announcing F1 2015

ultimatetely I'd say those that are paying the bills to fund the games development so most likely CM The languages. English French and Spanish are spoken in multiple countries so they would of course get priority but I can't say Polish is beyond there little part of the world so languages like that will face the first chopping block if they have to make cutbacks unfortunately

My god... how did I ever play this game?

I'm not an F1 fan but I enjoy playing the games. CM know more about their user base than anyone on here ever will. They probably know how many are playing on wheel and how many on controller for example. So they know who is buying the game and how they play it and whether they want a sim or not. My guess is that the people who prefer a good casual gaming experience outnumber those who prefer sim like realism by at least a factor of 10 to 1. Personally I do not want a sim. F1 2013 hit a good spot for me and was/is enjoyable without needing to go too much into sim settings and using a wheel. To me the key is in the name, simcade. If you are looking for a full sim then F1 has not previously been designed around that, so you'd be better off going to games that actually try to be simulators rather than playing a game that doesn't claim to be one. I would be sad if the simcade genre went, because IMO it is a lot of fun, it is accessible and playable without being too punishing. For me the method of control is a big hint about gaming realism. IMO no one who drives with a controller (and that's me by the way) can really claim they want the game to be more sim like because surely the most dominant thing about whether you are getting a realistic experience is the control method.  I think it remains to be seen whether F1 2015 will be more sim than cade. Clearly CM are saying they have more advanced modelling, which might suggest  the new game will be more sim like. The irony is that a lot of casual users want to feel that they are playing a game as close to real life as possible, even if they are not willing to invest in the rig to do so, and would be really hacked off if they were given a sim like game that they were unable to play. A lot of  people who play the game don't really know what they want.  It would be interesting to know how CM will describe F1 2015, simcade or something different ? This might be quite revealing as to what their objectives are. My point is if they make the game more "sim" like, its easy to calibrate it to arcade users through difficulty levels and driver aids. They probably wont bother though, because they know that F1 fans will buy the game regardless of how bad it is due to their passion for the sport. That leaves them pandering to people with no interest in F1 because they want to sell the product to people who werent already almost guaranteed to buy it I agree it should be possible to de-skill the sim by driver aids. But you have to remember that each sim feature put in comes at a cost to other features. So the more work they do on say tyre modelling, the less resources they have to program career mode, or live the life or new camera angles, or implement dedicated servers. As a business they are going to use the resources where they think it is going to generate the most sales. I also agree re the dedicated fans. Some people on here seem to buy/pre order the game year after year and claim that they are massively disappointed with it. Well, that's like banging your head against a brick wall. The only option you have if you don't like the game is to vote with your wallet and/or at the very least wait until the game is released and reviewed by people who you trust before splashing out.I love CM games, but I didn't buy 14 because it seemed obvious to me before release that it was not enough change from 2013 to justify at full price, and I am not so big a fan of F1 to want to try the new cars. On the other hand I bought complete edition of F1 2013 for £25 I think and that has been excellent value for money. I have really enjoyed it. Seems to be no career mode anyway lol Indeed that's why I'm considering not bothering with 2015

Agreed I think it's just a matter of resources
  23. In fairness though it would get old anyway no matter what CM do. As animations are always likely to repeat themselves after a while regardless.

Now I have myself a dragon it's time to take the fight to Corypheus and end this charade
  25. F1 2010 is already on steam all the F1 games are F1 2010 and F1 2011 are both on Steam but still contain GFWL like DiRT 3 did until yesterday. you can run them off line though the GFWL can easily be bypassed by just ignoring it and creating a local profile. As they were programmed differently than dirt Sure I know. The old version of GFWL didn't require an activated online-account, but most people don't know about the local profile because it's hidden in small wall of text. As well GFWL is an additional unnecessary additional Software that can cause problems like crashes, not starting and so on. The older GFWL is not as aggressive as the one in DiRT 3, but for DiRT 3 as an example: DiRT 3 didn't start for me because, GFWL wasn't installed properly - and it didn't tell me that it failed. There was something missing, that wasn't installed, because I changed a minor thing in my OS. It took me very long to find out why it didn't work. GFWL maybe crashed for him, anything is possible. Agreed but I wouldn't expect to much help withthis though given CM have pretty much got all hands on deck working on F1 2015
