I think it'll just take some time to investigate but if they worked fine before the switch to Steam chances are they can get it working again it'll just take some investigating and tweaking but at least hopefully he's aware of the problem and can get on top of it. He's usually pretty good at that anyway.

The DiRT 3 Complete Edition - Now Available With 100% Less GFWL
sjsharp2010 replied to justbiglee's topic in DiRT Rally 2.0
F1 2010 is already on steam all the F1 games are F1 2010 and F1 2011 are both on Steam but still contain GFWL like DiRT 3 did until yesterday. you can run them off line though the GFWL can easily be bypassed by just ignoring it and creating a local profile. As they were programmed differently than dirt -
well given I don't use a wheel it's not really a problem for me might be worth asking @justbiglee see if he can help given he's the resident Dirt expert around here :p
-
yeah I read that last night nicely done CM. Haven't got the Dirt games installed on my system atm but it's certainly making it tempting to put them on. Hopefully I'll be finished with DAI at some point today. Then I can start racing given I'm in the mood for a bit of that.
-
Usually the next batch of info is about the new features so yeah to explain more about what the new games about. Well at least in the past with CM's games it has been.

I've tried to push the issue, but I'm not hopeful they will listen. This is going to anger a lot of people. Seriously how hard can it be to give us the option to disable it. Although I kinda understand the thinking behind it, when I've watched these lower tier races in real life, the racing is often very close. There's a few of us trying to change the devs mind, but I won't push too far as I know they hate anything negitive. Still atleast when the game is out I won't have to worry about it, as many people will post about it. It'll still be a great sim to race online, but this one thing lets the game down a lot. What's the point having a slider going from 0-100% if they aren't actually what you set it at. I suppose it comes down to how much the average player will notice though as well. Those that are not following the games development may not even know about this or even notice it while playing. Let's hope you're listened too though.
-
Yeah I do agree on this as well as I said in my earlier post that's what the sliders and options are for so people can adjust things just as they want. I can understand there reasoning behind it as well but that's how it is I guess. Maybe they'll re-examine the decision before the game comes out but then again that would mean another delay to put up with. Hopefully they can get this thing out soon though as all these delays are starting to get ridiculous.

The DiRT 3 Complete Edition - Now Available With 100% Less GFWL

F1 2010 is already on steam all the F1 games are -
probably for the best then.

I don't know about that as I'd rather buy 2013/14 than 15 at the moment if I were in his place There's no point in discussing F1 2015 for the PS3... On topic: I'd go for the season you enjoyed most, but personally I prefer 2013. Agreed given it's not coming out on PS3
-
Judging by this it looks like my instincts were right then. They want the lower tiers to be easier to make it easier to adapt to the game. Fair enough I suppose. I do agree with you though @Hughesy as people can turn things down a bit if they're finding things too hard. I know I'll probably have things turned pretty low until I get used to the game anyway no matter what happens and I'll adjust accordingly when I need to.
-
ah right maybe there is a bug in the system somewhere or maybe they just want people to use the early part of the career mode to learn and adjust to it by making it a little easier to start off with. I don't know I'm just speculating on why. You're the expert on the game around here we're relying on you for the answers. :p
-
maybe they'll add one. On the other hand that sounds good for me given I'm not the quickest of drivers and I know I'm slower than the 2 of you and it's likely that when the game finally does get unleashed on us that that's going to be an area I'll likely be spending a lot of time in.
-
I don't know about that as I'd rather buy 2013/14 than 15 at the moment if I were in his place

Have to agree although I think it also depends on how you like your AI as well as the AI on 2013 is a lot moer aggressive a bit too aggressive for my tastes in my case if I had to choose now between the 2 games I'd choose 2014 as the AI and feel for me on 2014 is better and feels moer like the 2010-12 games

I think this is the most likely scenario besides CM need the money given their financial troubles I suspect if F1 2015 doesn't do as well as they hope that could well be it for CM so they'll need some money out of this so giving it away for free would lead to them commiting financial suicide. I know some companies like EA do this but they can afford it. But I seriously doubt CM can right now. At least not until they've straightened out their books. True, but it's their fault 2014 was a disgrace. As the screenshots and video footage looked promising, I used the pre-order function in August already to make sure I would play it as first. Now for 2015 I won't pre-order it if there's no compensation for those who pre-ordered 2014... Perhaps but it can be equally argued it's your fault though for not checking all the info and the reviews before getting it. I know I waited on 2014 and will most likely wait on this one as well before making a decision. Also because I wasited I managed to get the game at a price I was willing to pay too.

Done it that's all 10 dragons in DAI slain killed the last 3 today just need to destroy Corypheus's beast now and finish the game still going to do a few other side missions first before I attempt that though.
-
yeah that's what they're doing besides asidefrom Hockenheim it's more or less the asme tracks as last year zanyway except Mexico is effectively switched with Hockenheim depending on what season you're running.

I put it as a game mode because I'm I read a few times that there is a career section to the game, I'm sure, so I put it under game modes. If that's later proved wrong then I'll obviously amend it. :) By the way, I don't have any inside information, I'm simply a forum moderator! I hope you're right @petetheduck but there is a chance you may be wrong but as you say we need more info on this I think it in terms of clarification seeing as it seems to have confused a lot of people on here. I have to admit though I'm one of them.

2015 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
sjsharp2010 replied to afrodude41's topic in World of Motorsport
Given Sky sports rerun the early morning ones at around lu.chtime I tend to watch them then rather than live now myself. I generally only tend to watch the European ones or ones that are in our timezone like Bahrain, Singapore & Abu Dhabi live -
exactly that's why I'm going to hold back to as without career mode there is no real gameplay value at least not for me but that's why I'm also keeping an eye on further developments.
-
well I have an Xbox 360 for Windows controller for my PC (although I read you can use XB1 controllers as well now) that usually serves me well enough for sports games although I tend to use the keyboard for CM's F1 games, as for wheels I don't know as I don't use one. As for desks I think the best bet would be try your local DIY shop or something. People have different setups though depending on how they feel. Mine's on a desk mostly because I have to be close to it in order to use my PC/consoles because of my disability and I have a purpose built desk for that Some people just have it sitting on the floor and connected to a screen TV when they're using them it's just a matter of taste.
-
I thought 64bit was next-gen...?, and I don't mean that in a 'funny' way... I haven't used a 32bit system since Windows XP! Consoles are not nextgen they are always going to be oldgen compared to PC's, windows 7 comes in 32 or 64 bit so does windows 8. maybe not but I think it's safe to say that both the XB1 and PS4 are both 64bit machines given the level of graphics they're capable of.
-
we can answer regarding 2010-14 though just not 2015. I suspect though that if you have a rig capable of handling those 2015 will unlikely be a problem.

right now we don't know it's not out yet
