    The Game Thread!

I wouldn't say I love them but I am a fan of Bioware's as you can probably tell from my posts on Mas Effect and Dragon Age. If I had to choose between them though I'd pick ME as I prefer the sci fi setting over the fantasy one but I'm a huge fan of both especially after what I've seen Bioware do with Inquisition. Yeah I've got Red alert 3 don't play it much though I've also got the Star Craft games as well but I got them not that long ago just not got around to playing them yet. Once I'm through the DVD's I'm watching I plan on spending more time with games I got recently but haven't had the chance to play.

    The Game Thread!

So do I finished ME2 buit as you said I purposely make weak choices too to change things a little bit and in fact did so this time . I lost Jack but everyone else survived. Seeing as she is probably one of my least favourite characters anyway I'm not that bothered. It was only because I decided to skip some of the loyalty missions this time around Jack's being one of them. Yeah I agree about having the strong warrior that's kind of why I chose to bring Iron Bull with me when I took the dragons on given he's probably the toughest guy in the game. Have to admit I'm tempted to go as a Qunari warrior on the game at some point see how much damage I can do then :p  Not just yet though as I already kind of got my next playthrough planned out. I'm going to stay a mage  for it but as an Elf instead of Human Although I do plan on going through Origins and 2 again first and take that playthrough into Inquisition via the Keep. Bring down the sky was good fun but Pinnacle station is a bit pointless. I've never cracked Pinnacle station anyway. I can do the Capture Hunt and Survival challenges The time trial ones I find impossible I just can't do them fast enough. I have on the very rare occasion lost Tali on the suicide run but generally I come out with no casualties. Glad I didn't lose her this time given she's my romance.  But as I said I lost Jack so won't see her on Grissom academy everyone else survived and are ready for the fight with the reapers. I would asy Shadow Broker's my favourite level in the series actually too. But then all the DlC's they did were brilliant for these games. Looking forward to seeing what we get in terms of Single player D|LC's for Inquisition as well as I can certainly see myself buying them at this rate.

    The PC Thread

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003ZY9Z40?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 This one It's just a basic simple keyboard really not a gaming one like my old one. But my old one was dying and was starting to cost me a little bit in my games so needed to change it. So far it's working quite nicely although the lead could do with being a little bit longer compared to my old one.

yeah all the main characters have pretty good romances as Garrus's romance is quite good too Most of my femsheps end up romancing him. Didn't use Dorian an awful lot in my playthrough but then I was playing as a mage myself the only time I had a second mage with me was when I went up against one of the dragons usually though I chose Solas as I had equipped him with the revival spell in case any of us went down given dragons aer the toughest creatures in the game. Unless I was doing one of their so called loyalty missions then I did take them with me. Yeah the Citadel DLC is good like that too. All the ME DLC's are good fun though just finished the Arrival one in my current ME2 run. Still got pretty much everyone's loyalty missions (as I've only done Zaeed's Kasumi's and Miranda's thus far) to go and Shadow broker but I don't usually save Arrival til the end like some do. I always like to wrap things up with the so called suicide mission. Where most of the time these days I come out with everyone still alive.

    The Game Thread!

That's what I have done but I haven't received any answers yet to that Yeah that's why I like Bioware's games too as it's not always about whether you have the most powerful weapons sometimes it's about having  the right strategy certainly in Origins I think that's the case and again in inquisition as I think I was a level 23/24 character I think when I took on the Highland ravager which I think is a level 25 dragon so was slightly moer powerful than me at that time but thanks to having the right strategy I was able to kill it which was when I found a good armour unfortunately elf limited so wasn't able to use it as I was playing as a human. Thinking of going as an elf for my next  playthrough. Story wise I'd say Origins is the strongest given it's a big scope type story very much like Shepard's fight with the Reapers was whereas DA2 is a smaller moer contained the story the only big tough fight in that one really is the one with the Qunari. Although the High dtragon at the Bone pit was a tough fight it's not quite as epic as the Qunari one. Haven't played any of DA2's dlc yet as I hadn't bought it until recently but I'm looking forward to that on my next run. Yeah Sera is intriguing character a bit of a weird one too.  I romanced Iron Bull in my first playthrough though. The sex scene when Cullen, Cassandra and Josephine come running into you is hilarious :p. I originally planned on doing Cullen but ended up screwing it up as I told him to keep taking the lyrium for the sake of the Inquisition when I should have encouraged him to stay off it. Still I know that for next time. That's one of the other things I like about the romance scenes some aer quite funny some are quite sweet. Planning on  romancing Tali on my current ME run. I would imagine come the time ME4 is out though they'll be focused on the new consoles though  as I think PS3/360 is pretty much at an end now so hopefully that'll lead to further improvements available for the next ME. Been pretty active on Bioware's forums as well discussing the new games lately

I don't gamble but then I don't really have the money for it. I do have a casino style game on PC where you can play things ilke blackjack/ poker type games with fake money but it's not an online thing. I don't play it very often though.

    FIFA/PES thread

Yesah it's still a good game but for me it'd nowhere near as much fun as Fifa though but that's my personal opinion I just prefer the way Fifa handles and looks now. On the last gen I felt they seemed pretty similar it's just a matter of game you were in the mood for but this year FIfa has taken a big step forward imo.

Of course it's a line Shepard says to Jack at the end of her recruitment mission. When she's arguing about Shepard working with Cerberus as she has a rather bad history with them as you discover later on during her loyalty mission. He's says that line to her because he wants her on his side it's one of the renegade responsesyou can pick in the game. I personally love Garrus follow up line as he responds by saying "They have a way of dying". Trying to find a vid of it but can't at the moment but it's a renegade response

Same here given how long Autosport's career mode is I'd be pretty annoyed as well if irt had happened to me fortunately it hasn't. Fotrunately being a single player only guy I've not had to put up with the online stuff though which has made things a lot easier from my perspective.

    The Game Thread!

I didn't see any expiry dates on mine. I agree and I  can understand why some people  didn't like it but doesn't bother me personally either. I think the ending could have been written better but as for complaining about not covering peoples choices was total BS I think given there was always going to be limitations as at it is just a game and you can only cover so much and I think Biowaer did the best they could with what they had and I always felt even before ME3 came out that Shepard was likely to end up having to sacrifice him/herself in order to stop it in the end anyway. As for DA I think the series has definitely got better and better as the series has progressed. I personally find Inquisition outstanding and I can see myself wanting to do multiple playthroughs of it eventually so far I've only done 1 but I've already got in mind how I'm going to approach the next one as I know there are certain things I know  I could have done better. The first playthrough of a new game is always a learning one though. Love the graphics of the new game especially the new wind effects wher you can see the trees and flags moving and the armour on yourself and squadmates too. Especially noticeable when you play as a mage and visiting places like the Storm coast. The only negative I can think of it is we've still got helmet heads as it would have been nice if you're playing as a long haired female character or something like that to have your hair affected by the wind too like they've done in other games like Tomb Raider and Final fantasy and such but seeing it is the first of these new gen RPG's on this engine they've done a good job. DA2 again is better than Origins even if most of the maps are pretty samey but the combat interface is much better. it may be a smaller story in comparison to Origins and Inquisition in many ways too but to me that doesn't matter it's the quality that counts and for me it's still there in that game. Origins is a good game but hard to get to grips with if you're not an experienced RPG player which generally I'm not. I think hadthey used the interface of DA2/DAI in how to upgrade your powers/weapons and armour in Origins I think it would have made a much better game as it would've been easier to figure out and understand. I've only recently started to get to grips with it after buying the strategy guide to help me as I was fed up of getting stuck and making no progress. Still haven't beaten the game but that was down to me making a mistake I think rather than misunderstanding the game this time. I think I can master it it just takes more of an effort to master than most other games I have asked on the Answer HQ thingy but so far I haven't had any response.

    The Game Thread!

Yeah I agree after seeing what they've done with inquisition it's making me even more keen for ME4. We've still got at least another year before we see it though as last I heard it's not coming until 2016. I do think they'll be releasing some bits and pieces about the game this year at the various gaming conventions. I just hope they can fix the issues with ME1's problems with newer processors though if they do rerelease it the black blocks glitch is really annoying. http://gyazo.com/19ab29ebae8efb0e95ee7fbe4df0cbf2 Fortunately there is a workaround on PC but it's still annoying none the less Besides I'd be surprised if we didn't see some DLC's in the meantime for inquisition to keep us busy in the meantime as well. Especially as Inquisition has been received pretty positively as far as I know for the most part. BTW @Wynterdust do you have access to the Blood dragon Armour in ME2 as I know I should have access to it sa I own the ultimate version of Origins as well as ME2 yet it's not showing up on mine Same here. Going to have to start another playthrough I think as it's been an unusually long time since I last played it and especially since I've had marathons of watching the Farscape TV series. Back in the mood for it again now. Yeah I'd imagine this year they'll be talking about it now that Inquisition is released. To be honest I'm surprised not much has been released about it since it'll be three years in March since the last one was released. Hopefully it isn't just a simple remaster and they do indeed fix some of the issues, no matter how minor. They have been asking for ideas of what people would want in a remaster so with a bit of luck there might even be some new stuff. Don't know how much exactly though. There should have been a code in the Origins box. Did you get it brand new or preowned? I don't have the armour myself as I bought Mass Effect quite a while after I had Dragon Age and I completely forgot about the code. By the time I remembered it the code had expired! I think I bought it new as I do that with most of my games as I bought both for PC. I don't tend to go second hand with PC's. You open yourself up to a lot of trouble with second hand PC games as I've found quite a few over the years that don't work so I generally go new. Consoles I sometimes do because it is easier and cheaper to afford the games second hand on the console. Just depends on the game though. I did put in the code and it's accepted it but for some reason it's not showing up so I don't know. it has lft me scratching my head. Shame really as I do like that armour in ME3 I just wish I could use it in 2 as well especially given I'm supposed to be entitled to it. At least I think I am seeing as I own both games Yeah I've got Farscape on DVD good series. I'm working through Star Trek Voyager again at the moment though. I love all the Star Trek series. I've got a lot of sci fi/fantasy series on DVD. For me it was the other way around I bought ME first and then DA as I know although they were new copies I do remember getting them on the cheap as I only paid £15 to get both ME's 1 and 2. ME3 is the only one I paid full price for. But after seeing what they had done with 1 and 2 I couldn't resist :p. It was somewhere between getting 1 and 2  and getting 3 that I got DA Origins and DA2. Glad I did though as they're all excellent games. I've got to hand it to Bioware they know how to write excellent stories and make a compelling single player game. I just hope they keep them coming for many years to come.

Most football boards are I think The reason I'm so angry though, people having been calling for change for a while. They had over 500k they could've spent in January, but spent nothing even though we are bottom. So the board obviously didn't have confidence in GJ, so they should've grown some balls and got rid of him at the start of last month. By sacking him now nothing can be done to improve the squad.  After January ended they should've just stuck with him, as his contract ends at the end of the season. By sacking him now we've had to pay him off, money that could've been spent on players. He may be the best manager we've had, as he got us from the conference to the Championship (in two spells) but he's lost his marbles the last year, got rid of all our good players (fell out with them) which is a petty thing for a manager to do. yeah I know all clubs make silly mistakes though I think because I felt the same when Redknapp was at Spurs everything was going well for us probably the best it had  for a long time. Yet he lost his job in my view unnecessarily because he wasn't to know Chelsea would win the CL that year and in doing so prevent us from getting into it. If I had been chairman I'd have kept him in charge because for me it felt like we were going places under him and I think we were playing some of the best football I'd seen for a long time
