given it's in the preview build which the vids are based on I would think they would be. I think once people are up to speed with the handling of the game though I doubt it'll be quite so much of a problem. Things will get tweaked a bit right up until they're ready to release I'm sure so anything can happen. -
doesn't bother me I only race it in game and it's part of the street discipline so if and when I do that discipline in the game and I get he chance I'll drive it.Oscar97 said:BTW the Revolucion isn't road legal. :P

they are at E3 with Grid Autosport but not with any dirt games -
yeah I'm looking forward to driving the Pagani Zonda R or Revolucion I think it's called in this game been driving it on Shift and it has a rocket of an engine that really flies had to run at half throttle just to keep it under control I'm not a street racer either I usually prefer track races but seeing that car in the Street discipline after driving it on Shift 1 has really wetted my apetite for itKazzyMac said:
I do know plenty of people that will enjoy the tuner / street stuff though. I know some people in my racing clan that are looking forwards to the hypercars. One guy loves drift events and time attacks so he'll be all over those.McRoss1966 said:
U got a point, but how many of those gamers comes to the forums?APR193 said:Please codemasters look at this thread for future reference. Touring / Open Wheel / Endurance have all the votes and so far Tuner / Street have none. Next time more Touring / Open Wheel / Endurance cars and less Tuner / Street cars pleaseI for one am not into the tuners and street. It's almost also as if I wanna say: -if u wanna do open-wheelers get the F1-game :DThe thing is? I have nothing towards street races. I know that San Fran is going to be fun, especially driving the faster cars like the Supercars or Hypercars, and I'm personally looking forwards to driving the Integra R coupe around. However, in terms of disciplines, touring cars and open-wheelers are just more what I want to do. Endurance I'm interested in just because it's something that's new and holds some form of strategy to it as opposed to the 'drive-flat-out' method that is commonplace without modelled tire wear.I don't feel Codemasters have made a mistake with including Street and Tuner. Perhaps there are too many cars, but a lot of those are recycled from Grid 2 (the C1 drift cars especially, are the Drift Pack cars from grid 2). It's just that I want to do touring and open-wheel -more- than street racing. :)

Then pergaps you should put his name in your post then like this @Loore thsat way your system automatically alerts hisMTonly said:
This is quite obvious. The essence of my point is that copying tracks from GRID2 should not need any considerable efforts while argument "graphics is obsolete" used as for GRID1 tracks is inapplicable to GRID2 since it has the same (or almost the same) graphics as Autosport. After all, thanks to Steam autoupdate feature, missing tracks may be easily added via a patch (no DLC anymore please) after game release.sjsharp2010 said:Because it would take up resources needed in other areas that's why besides I think we've got quite a wide selection of tracks anyway and while it would be nice I'm not sure the game needs any more maybe they'll do some as DLC but for now in my opinion I think they need to make sure there aren't too many bugs in the system and get the game out rather than just throwing in stuff at the last minute that could screw up the whole system. I 'd like to see this game done right with all the promise it's showing not bodged up like last years games
By the way, the question is addressed solely to Loore and implies an official answer, not guessing. Guessing (by people not from Codemasters in particular) does not matter here. Thanks for attention.

same here as much as I loved making the Pagani Zonda R on Shift 1 do 300mph down it's long straight I don't like racing that track it's a bit narrow for my liking and it's been retired from racing purely because it's to dangerous by modern standards and I think it should be forgotten for racing games unless it's for a classic mode Having said that I do have a tendency to struggle on narrower tracks anyway I think as I tend to struggle with both Monaco and Suzuka for the same reason although lately I've done quite well at Monaco having won there twice in the career mode I'm doing at the moment on F1 2012RubyRuby said:Jackie Stewart's opinion is good enough for me. that's why they call it the green hell I suppose at least that's what Jackie Stewart calls itcouger1981 said:The track is only overrated for the people who can't drive it ;)

Here is another Touring car vid from Alex Zafro https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIqjaMG_RIM even giving his team mate a hand bet you wouldn't see Hamilton and Rosberg help each other like this :p -

That is the Revolucion. Very similar to the R in many respects but road legal. The R is purely a track car. :)Rudolph1992 said:

Is no Zonda R in Autosport sorry.sjsharp2010 said:looking forward to driving the Pagani Zonda R personally been racing it a lot in Shift and enjoying ityeah that's what I meant the Revolucion is another version of it wasn't thinking too much about doing the street discipline but if there was ever a reason to consider it. That may just persuade me to give it a go at some point because I found it a fun car to drive in the shift games once I learnt how to keep iyt under control as it has more speed and power than you actually need in that gsame and I kind of had to keep it at half throttle to just keep the thing under control as I had it going at 300mph at one point along the Nordschleife

Goes to show though that you can only gather so much info when watching a vid sometimes you need hands on experience but as I said above to me it looks more like it's got a handling more akin to the earlier F1 games than Grid 2 with AI to match too as they don't seem to be as aggressive as they were in Grid 2. if that's the case then that's good enough for me as I loved the handling and AI of F1 2010-2012Britpoint said:
Ah well, comments will be comments! I find it interesting to go through and see what kind of opinions people are forming from the footage that's out there though.Workhorse9696 said:Nice video! Those youtube comments are depressing though. Quite amazing that people are saying the handling is the same as Grid 2 even though they aren't the ones controlling the car. Gold is the term used when they are ready to start transferring the game to discs and stuff ready for release to the public so they can start enjoying the productThomja said:sjsharp2010 said:Interesting ideas but I'm just checking that you're aware they're just about to release a new one called AutosportYes, that's the one I'm talking about :DAndi said:Considering Autosport will be gold in a week or less might as well wait and talk about what needs improving from that game. What do you mean by gold?

Because it would take up resources needed in other areas that's why besides I think we've got quite a wide selection of tracks anyway and while it would be nice I'm not sure the game needs any more maybe they'll do some as DLC but for now in my opinion I think they need to make sure there aren't too many bugs in the system and get the game out rather than just throwing in stuff at the last minute that could screw up the whole system. I would be happy to have GRID1 tracks even in their original graphics state — this would be better than not having them at all.Loore said:While we may have some data on the tracks already due to their age some of our tracks from GRID would have required a lot of extra work to bring them up to 2014 quality, some rebuilt entirely. It's only six years but the difference is huge, take a look at San Fran side by side for example in both Race Driver: GRID and GRID Autosport.
Same applies to all GRID2 tracks (some of which are missing in Autosport for some reason), but, compared with GRID1, they probably even don't require to be rebuilt at all since GRID2 and Autosport graphics are almost identical. Really: why not just directly copy GRID2 tracks (those currently missing in Autosport) to Autosport? This would be much better then not having them at all. Thanks.

I believe the game does have splitscreen yes sa I think I saw the option on the inside sim racing vids when they weer showing us biys about the gameAssiemodis said:Yes autosport will have DD but only in custom events.
About splitscreen I can't say. :)

that's one thing I absolutely love about F1 is that when everything looks solid at the front the spotr always finds a way to throw up a suprisee. But you have to say well done Daniel Ricciardo -
I think the Aston martin is in actually in at least as part of Endurance anyway I know that the AM Vantage was in shift 1 as I bought that car for the tier 3 events I did in in Shift 1 not too suer about the other cars though although I think I do remember seeing the Lotus Exige on the car list on this forum too. -

Also, I have never been penalized for Blocking...maybe 2014 could penalize players who are doing Blocking moves. THat would probably be really hard for the game to properly recognize, but I am not sure.I think it probably would overtaking illegsally can be easily spotted but blocking moves aren't so obvious because everybody has their own line for taking corners and could be easily misinterpreted as blocking

in multiplayer and or practice mode you may be able to I think but if I remember rightly @Loore did say that in career mode the openwheelers like the Endurance and touring cars are mostly confined to the tracks although I think he also said there are 1 or 2 street track events in the disciplines to shake things up a bit but they'll mostly be at the racetracks. To do the street track moer in general then you 'll need the street discipline.MiatakiasGR said:yoooohooo amazing video man !! \m/it reminded me a lot grid 1 , i love open wheels in city tracks , with full damage and colision on one mistake and you are done onto wall!! b-(i will create many of such races online . open wheels only city tracks full colision and damage..i hope the game to let us to play with open wheels in many city tracks ;;)

To be fair that car does look a massive handful - and he did explain that he's driving with an xbox one controller. Sim-based games are -not- easy to play with controllers. :/RTAnoskills said:Another example of complete noob driving. This guy just gets better and better. But yeah, if he drives like that online he's going to start getting smashed off by people. He'll have to learn pretty quickly else he'll not have the cash to repair the thing :PShame that the majority of people that get the press-release version of the game ... can't drive. at all.The team VVV guy and the inside sim racing guys aer probably the best drivers and are also taking on the AI at generally it's hardest difficulties I think can't be too sure I know Darin(Inside Sim racing) is using hard/V hard difficulties for his vids but then sometimes I find to watch someone that's not using a wheel and is using a keyboard/controller as it gives an idea as to how the game will handle for me and for those that use those tools instead because not everyone uses a wheel or even wants too. I know I don't use a wheel because of my disability it's hard for me to do so. I use the keyboard for my racing games it's simple and works for me. Seeing as I generally play games at their lowest difficulties as well which are definitely lower than these vids gives me hope that I can compete with it as well.
Very true but at least it's good that he's showing you can still compete with the AI on a controller though even if it is more difficult on the higher levelsOctoberDusk06 said:This could be a good sign people. A Kazzy pointed out, controllers are not meant to be racing instruments and if you adapt your game to them then you dumb down the SIM experience. The fact that he can't get a handle on the car to me is good, because in GRID2, he would be just drifting through the corners with ease. In fact when he said "hey, this is not a drifting car" I kind of chuckled, because he's right...it's not. If it were (like GRID2) then he would be P1.

exactly as handicapped person myself being only able to use 1 hand I use the keyboard and configure the controls to one area of it. I don't play online but I certainly recognise that having plenty of options does make it easierDaWaangus said:Of course these settings should be available to all controllers. That's the way all driving games used to be. I have a Thomas Superwheel. I've got quite a bit invested in it over the years and refuse to by a cheap piece of crap just to be able to adjust settings. I have a couple of friends I've been racing with for years that can't use a wheel controller due to physical limitations. Codemasters and others need to realize there are a lot of handicapped people online and should not exclude them when making decisions about controller options.

yeah it's too narrow for my liking on Shift 1 nowhere to make a move and overtake I can certainly see why it was abandoned in favour of the new NurburgringP308R said:Track is way to overrated and it is just boring to race online. well it is still a work in progress I think I've managed to put together a few clean laps of Monza on the game via keyboard not particularly quick laps but still I think with a bit of practice I'll get a bit fastercouger1981 said:
