  1. Sorry but his driving is shocking!

You can NOT bang into cars like that online and expect people to be happy with you.

His diving is ok for career mode, But doing that online is not.
well he may be relatively new to racing gsmes we don't know but if you have a problem then just don't race him simples :p

I wish they would release it to everyone as a demo. They could even cut it down to two cars and two tracks. I just want a basic idea of how the cars feel, especially with my joystick, before I decide to buy or not.

I'd have been curious too as I would like to know about the Ai speed but based on the open wheelers and my speed on F1 2012 I think I'll be fine. I compared my times at Sepang to the open wheelers in this game perview and they were doing times around 1 minute around half the track and on F1 2012 I managed to do the full lap in 1 minute 43.9 seconds and that's driving the Williams so therefore I did the full lap and it only took 40 seconds longer. I don't know how the cars handle though or the general settings although it looks like he's using medium so they can be slowed further if need be.

CM its great that you give copies of the game to certain people to review and make videos, so that we the players can see .

Could you stop giving the pre release games to people who cannot race.

The latest video shows again some idiot driving around Hokenheim, I know he's only on career mode, But honestly he rams up the inside of cars as their turning, moans that someone is running him onto the grass.....hellooooooooooooooo your not being run onto the grass, your tring to overtake using the kerb and grass.  Then every time screws up the braking for the hairpin, gets over taken by the car he just over took.   He even rams some pink car, thinks its funny, then 2 corners later, he gets hit by the computer pink car, and starts his "whooooa what you doing buddy.....calm down".    Excuse me.....but if that pink car had me at the wheel, this guy would be getting wrecked.

Scrapes and bumps are part of close pack racing,  but screaming into a turn too fast, sliding sideways into the car already on the apex, and using that car as a barrier to stop you going off the track is crap racing.

If you make the game for noobs to play, its no surprise to me that you send it to a noob for evaluation.

How exactly do these people get hold of your test verisons, Alpha - beta code etc?

Personally I don't think he drove too badly granted it's not exactly a smooth run but it's just as new to him as it is to us. I think his commentary was a bit dodgy but driving wise he was OK

I'm still waiting for a developer/publisher to try out an 'old model' of offering free DLC and via that method enticing new purchasers to the game. I sometimes get put off buying a game I'd like to buy, say at £20, when I then have to buy another £20 worth of DLC to get to the state of the game my friends are playing.

I'd really be interested to see if a developer/publisher would be interested in trying this as a little experiment.
Unfortunately I can't see that ever happening you'll be able to buy games that'll have some of the DLC included like in the Mass Effect Trilogy pack but I don't see them going any further than that

I was sort of with you until that last part.  I agree about G2 tracks (I'm more interested in more tracks than in more cars), but putting out a track or car expansion pack for multiplay but not single play would be a big mistake - like putting out an expansion pack for a platform or two but not all platforms supported in the original release.  Which Codies did in GRID (08) and royally pissed off a lot of fans.  That's one of the old major issues that this team should take to heart.  Don't release any DLCs or expansion packs until they are ready for all platforms and both types of connections - in other words, if you're going to raise the tide make sure it floats ALL the boats.

As for San Franciso and Washington:  very much like old home week.  Detroit:  as far as I can tell it's only for Derby; is that right?

PC/keyboard, offline single player.  GRID since 2008, and continuing.
I'm in complete agreement as well I'd rather see DLC made available for everyone too  fair enough if those DLC aer multiplayer only but if any of it can be shifted into singleplayer somehow it definitely adds to the game.

Are keyboard players going to have Driving Options>Advanced Settings or not?  What's the deal here, Loore?  The world wants to know.

Loore said only supported wheels in his post above.
well it is possible to play with keyboards as well at least in the pervious Grid games anyway. I would assume the handling on keyboards would be very similar to the F1 games given Autosport supposedly has a more sim feel this time but I can't say for certain only @Loore can

I just had the best run in FUT WC yet.

I figured that every time I lost in the knock outs that the person who beat me was always leaving his defenders back and hitting me on the counter, in other words, parking the bus. So I decided next time, I'd do the same thing. (Through my rage I didn't think about what tactics they were using, I was just mad bro).

Well I won my group, scoring about 11 goals in total over the 3 games. Got to the knock outs, won again convincingly. In the Quarter-finals I won again. I was almost surprised I hadn't gotten knocked out, but Remy and Mandzukic were just to good. Then I won my Semi-Final and got the final.

In the final I came up against an 86 rated, 100 chem team (Mine is 82 rated, 100 chem) and he had +10 attribute cards on every player (A couple of them only had +6). He went 2-0 up, then after half time I pulled it back to 2-2, it went to extra time and with 5 minutes to go, he scored a header with Robben of all people. Couldn't believe it. I did save 2 penalties in that game to keep myself in it. Was a very even game, both had about 11 shots on target, 49/51% possession.

I've now learnt that as long as you have pace, parking the bus on the FUT WC is the best way to win. I'm pretty sure that EA have no idea how to match make though, I should not have had to play him, an 81-83 rated team would have made for a better match up. He did get lucky though, it should have gone to penalties, which I'm confident I could have won.

Whether it was a one off or not, I'll have to see. Funnily enough that was my 13th tournament, doomed from the start.
I've finally won it.  :D Beat Belgium on penalties , Bosnia 2-1 , Spain 3-0 and Argentina 3-1 in the final.  :D
    nicely done

Just a note, but I caught up with our digital sales guys and they informed me that simplycdkeys is not an official vendor and as such we can't guarantee if the keys they provide will work in your countries.
Good to hear . . . bloody cheapskates wanting something for nothing . . . more tea good buddy ?
    ~O)
Technically it's not wanting something for nothing. It's wanting something for less.
maybe but if the codes don't work then it's a bad sign. I'd rather pay more and have something that I know works than pay less and take a chance on something that might not. You may want to ask @RevolvingPrawn though as I think he said to me that he's bought games from them in the past. He gave me a link to buy the new Wolfenstein game but I didn't use it in the end as I bought it directly from Steam it cost me more but I thought it was worth it.

The referees on FIFA 12 are the most bias buttheads I've ever seen. Larsson goes in with a, I'll be honest, rather firm tackle but got the ball first. Ref blows for a free kick, books Larsson and Van Persie of course scores against my goalkeeper.

Then of course, my keeper seemingly has jelly on his gloves (and his legs) whilst their keeper saves every damn shot of mine bar one and their defence blocks every shot. Despite me playing 5-3-2 they can walk through my defence as if they are statues.

    I don't know how I haven't broken a controller after a 6-1 defeat.
aww such bad luck :( at least you did better than Wigan :p

  9. Nope.  You have to go to a sim like rFactor, iRacing, or Assetto Corsa to find laser scanned tracks.  Once you've raced on a track in those sims that are laser scanned, you'll see Codemasters versions aren't really close to what the circuits are actually like.
mind you CM aren't trying to make a full on sim though just a semi sim/semi arcade as they generally aim for a more fun simulator experience with their games and tbf they do a pretty good job of that most of the time as I don't like full on sim racers usually but I quite enjoy semi sims as long as the AI is not too hard/aggressive. They don't always get it right Grid 2 and F1 2013 were good examples of that but generally up until last years catastrophes they did pretty well but I think they're back on track with Autosport though lets hope the same is true for F1 2014
