I may do that to yet haven't really decided and I certainly think I'll enjoy all the game modes on the game but I'm certainly thinking to start with my main focus will be on the first 3RobertKNL said:I'll just do them all in the order they are presented. So, Touring->Endurance->Open Wheel->Street->Tuner->Back to Touring. I want to progress through the disciplines slowly.

no love for the Tuner discipline yet I see
I'm guessing @justbiglee will probably vote for tuner though given I read he's a bit of a rally nut :p

tbh it is for me too although iwill probably have a run on the street tracks at some stage the race tracks are where my attention is going for the most partscottishwildcat said:None of them really, to be honest. All about the circuits for me..

will stick with my Amazon order as I know I want a hard copy of this game plus it's faster installing from disc anyway -

Why would he, though? 'A lot further back' would be something like a CDM role- and while you can attack from there (e.g. Xabi Alonso) that's not what Fabregas specialises in.onetwothree said:Fair enough. But I always imagined Fabregas playing a lot further back than Mata.yeah he's more of an attacking midfielder than defensive I agree give him the Lampard role in the team and he'll do a lot of damage.

maybe but the beauty of Grid is the fact that you get to race different machines across different disciplines it gives you the option to try different things. I'm primarily an open wheel racer as F1 is the racing game I play most and if I was only interested in that I'd stick with it. Grid and Dirt (fits in this as well) gives the option of racing something outside of the norm so for example I can take a Touring car or a drift machine out for a spin instead of an F1 car. Otherwise CM may as well stick with the F1 series and not give us any more Grids and I think that would be worse. Personally I think they've got this game right in terms of the mix thus far (especially as we can now choose the discipline we want or a mix of them) but I'm going purely on observation though.McRoss1966 said:
U got a point, but how many of those gamers comes to the forums?APR193 said:Please codemasters look at this thread for future reference. Next time more Touring / Open Wheel / Endurance cars and less Tuner / Street cars pleaseI for one am not into the tuners and street. It's almost also as if I wanna say: -if u wanna do open-wheelers get the F1-game :D

Yeah I agree that's why I don't use it I'm not too worried about what's behind me as the arrows give me enough info in that regard I use hood view or bonnet view (as I call it) because I need to be able to see enough out ahead to plan my next move and see where I can make one and to do this I like to see what's up the road ahead that's why I use the T cam on the open wheelers for the same reasonGoonertez said:Assiemodis said:As long as you drive youre car in real life lying on youre hood there is nothng wrong indeed.
In my opinion racegames should have only one view available and that is incar. ;)
Laying on your hood sounds more like nose cam to me....which i dont generally use because its far to low.
I used to use chase cam when i was younger, but that was because i wanted to 'see' the car i was driving.
Now i prefer to drive the car i am driving and hood cam is the easiest cam to use, especially without track-ir.
cockpit view seems to restricted for my liking.

I only do the odd 100% race on F1 as that's usually plenty enough for me too. I normally prefer 25% career mode distance races although I don't play with a wheel it can get tiring after a while on keyboard with one hand.Purple44 said:
5 laps is a long race. I know one or two people I play with who would need to stop for a bathroom break if it got any longer than that! :)
I can remember back in the old days with GRID 1, at one time we use to do 30 min races in a private host for a tournament. 30 mins with a force feedback wheel, you start to feel it in your arms after 20 mins.
I could not last doing a 2 hour race.

yeah those are my main disciplines too. I don't expect to touch tuner much as I suck at drifting although I will have a go at all 5 disciplines Street I may be OK with after a bit of practice but I don't really care that much for that discipline Obviously I think Open wheel is my top discipline as I tend to do best in F1 type cars but racing at night in Endurance intrigues me as well did a spot of Endurance racing yesterday on Shift and F1 as a little bit of practice was a lot of fun tooMickdoohan said:Will be- open wheeler

Last I heard the high res textures have something to do with erflections and things like this maybe @Loore can give us some more details but that's all I rememberTenderSurrender said:By the way PC user gonna have a "huge, free high res texture DLC" .. i wonder if one of the purpose of this dlc is to better the current low tex cockpit view.

I think they'll just accept that the decision has been made now anyway and just forget it happenedcouger1981 said:Formula 1 changing to a more reliable fuel flow sensor for the 2015 season, looks like they may be finally admitting there is a issue with the sensors.
If i were Red bull i would be challenging the decision again for what happened to Ricciardo.

torn between starting with Open wheel and Touring but I think i'll begin with the touring cars so how about everybody else? -
Simple question which discipline will you start with in season 1 on Grid Autosport -
think this vid shows you not only need to look after the car but you also need your wits about yo in Endurance too as Darin provedsjsharp2010 said:Here is another vid of Endurance in action I found on Sim racing's website

There are numerous sites selling Cdkeys, it's very much a grey area.wodahslink25 said:I'll be getting it, just where from is another matter, steam is about £27 with 10% from grid 2.However i have spotted it at £17.90 from a site called cdkeys - which seems too good to be true can anyone comment?
The Gaming companies don't tend to interfere with them, and a lot of people do use them.
At some point I guess things will get better defined but until then you take your chances with them.
If you are worried about playing online with them don't be, they are not illegal copies . . .
I don't use them myself, £34.50 for the Black edition hard copy at Game is a fair price . . .

neither would I sa tey'er both different series running on different platforms and engines the only thing you can compare it with aer other games of the series really other Grid games and the only question I can resally ask is. Is this game better than Grid 1/2? and right now judging by what I've observed of the game and right now I csan only go on observations and feedback others have given but the answer seems to be yes it is at least that's the answer right now we won't know 100% until the game is in our hands thoughmikevoltz1 said:I wouldn't compare this game to Forza. I like Forza and all, but it's missing something. I can't quite put my finger on it, but Grid has everything I want except longer races. I love the team structure and career mode. Forza doesnt have that structure.

agreed they'll support the leagues and supply patches where needed but I think that's as far CM will want to go as soon as Autosport is done. As I think they'll want to move onto the next gen now like the other gaming companies havescottishwildcat said:Think CM have made it pretty clear they don’t want to get into that situation again with Autosport. Personally I’m not even convinced there’ll be any significant DLC anyway, they won’t want to support a last-gen-only title any longer than they have to. More likely they’ll provide “support” by organising more of their racing leagues and other community-focused activities.

there's nothing wrong with the hood cam I use that myself whwn drivibfg that sort of car and the T cam when racing open wheelersAssiemodis said:lol you guys. :D

Having an Endurance racing day today just hada go at the Endurance races in Tier 3 of Shift now to do a couple of 100% races on F1 2012

yeah I always thought that would always be the case it's just an early game prompter to help people get up to speed with the game. ot of games have them kind of like a tutorial section in a senseTURBODEVIN19 said:
