well I still think it's lack of time as I think the big wigs at CM I'm assuming only gave them a year to turn this around. I think they do care otherwise they wouldn't have put the cockpit back in they know they made mistakes with Grid 2 and they've only been given a short time in order to rectify them I think.i've seen enough to convince me to buy this game as my pre-order is in and everything I've seen ever since I've placed it has backed those feelings up. one thing's for suer I think CM have learnt the lessons necessary from Grid 2 and it looks to me that regardless of the circumstances and short time frame they've created a masterpiece this timeTenderSurrender said:
I dont think so, because if they not ready why not just keep the game in the dark and only announce after everything is done since actually no one is expecting this Grid come so fast just one year after Grid 2. No one.sjsharp2010 said:I'm guessing it must be down to lack of time because there always deadlines for companies to meet and get things done by I don't use cockpit view generally so it isn't a huge issue to me personally but I can definitely see why some are miffed about it though
So the lack of time is not logic. No one actually know this game is coming if you dont announce it going to release at late of June.
Its more like they actually not quite interested to do it for the same reason as Grid 2 but force to do it for marketing purposes to say: "See cockpit is back" as one extra selling point so the result is we have a lazy & low detail cockpit which actually look like Grid 2 mod version.
Of course may be the final game cockpit is actually much detail than what we saw so will have to wait & see.
To me its very simple; If the cockpit really like this in the final game i wont buy, if better then i buy. Definitely wont pre-order right now.

well there's 2 ways you can do it you can either do it just by linking to the videos page by copy pasting the address into your post or alternatively you can click the show source button in the toolbar and copy paste the address in that to make it show up just as in my post above. It took me a while to figure out how to do it but I figured it out. Unfotrunately I haven't quite figured out how to straighten out the text around it but it's a startSRBIJAdeadyet said:how to post a video here , lol ?

watch the occasional race on TV not a big follower though got the 2013 game mostly for a little bit of oval racing fun I quite enjoy it but I don't play it that much tbf but I think that's partly down to having lots of other stuff to do right now -

But it's still only an official camera mod. Cockpit is low-detailed. Why modders can create highly detailed car interior for GTA4, but official developers can't?Loore said:One a bit further back in a more traditional position.
I guess it is either lack of time to fully polish all 80 cockpits or the last gen consoles could not handle high detail cockpit due to low RAM capacity. If there is a next gen release of Autosport, then, low detail cockpits arent acceptable.
Most GTA4 cars are took from other games, such as Forza which the cars from Forza already have detailed cockpit.

I know it is. I prefer a moer sim style handling anyway myself or at least a semi sim as I'm a pretty precise driver I'm quite slow (which is generally why I play on the lower levels) but I am quite precise in where I put my car in terms of my racing line and as you say the Grid 2 game as I played a couple of races on the DLC couple of nights ago and the cars were very slidey which I find useful for the drift events on the game but not much else as usually I suck in that part of the racing at least in Shift I do. I'm practicing a lot on F1 2012 and Shift 1 at the moment. Was also planning on playing Shift 2 as well once I've completed the first. I normally start on the bottom level which in this case will be very easy and tweak up as necessary later if I find I'm thrashing the AI too much. I'm normally conservative when it comes to playing new games at first and generally start off at the bottom till I get to grips with how a game handles.SRS13Rastus1701 said:I WAS committed to buying but I'm the lucky git already playing :)
I gave grid 2 a fair go (300+ hours) then, I just lost interest in it because of a number of things Handling, Always on mic, career took only 72 races to beat on hardest settings as they all dove a grip line and style.sjsharp2010 said:
although I still like Grid 2 in fact just bought a DLC pack as I never touched that when it first came out and thought I'd give it a look in SP mode of course. The moer I'm hearing the moer I'm liking too. Yes Grid 2 has it's frailties but in my opinion was still a fun game just not as much fun as it probably could have been the career mode was just too short. It look like they've learnt their lesson for this time round as it sounds like Autosport will be a BLAST. So credit for CM for dusting themselves down and giving it another go because this is exactly the kind of response the Grid series needed. I just hope the F1 guys take note of this and deliver something equally impressive. Won't hold my breath but it would be nice :)RubyRuby said:Last year, the more I heard about G2 the less I liked it. It's just the opposite with GRID A. Although I'm disappointed with a few developments, the more I learn about it the more I think it's going to be worth a buy.
FrankGAS is different the AI is gonna push and worry you at times, Been playing on hard as thats where I usually start before switching levels.

mikevoltz1 said:I like that they introduced Qualifying and practice. I want to qualify up front so I'm not passing 12 cars in one lap. That was always my issue too. It's quite brilliant allowing us to adjust our setups in practice and then qualifying. Really adds to the immersion.I agree I li9ke the idea of having practice and qualifying too starting fr5om the back of the grid get a little annoying sometimes especially as you do need an elbows out approach to get through the field and I hate fighting to aggressively sand havi9ng to drive like Maldonado. :p I know that aggressive will be needed sometimes if I don't set a fast enough time but at least it's a chance to limit that.

Colombia have been in world cups before as I think they were there in italia 90 and USA 94 as I think they made the quarter finals in one year too in the wc could be wrong thoughTommig1995 said:Euro 2004 champions out of nowhere, may I remind you. Not sure what they've done since.Colombia being seeded really surprised me, because I don't remember them being at a world cup in my memory (they may have been at 2002, I only remember the England v Brazil from that one). Ivory Coast I expect to qualify.

yeah I think the only thing is monitor it and delete them when they pop up not easy but probably the only effective optionLoore said:

Yeah it could have worked as part of the tuner/street disciplines I suppose but I think there's stil plenty of content within the game anyway without it by the looks of it plus I heard somewhere that those events will still be available online they just won't be part of the sp modeSparkRacer said:
I too enjoy the extra circuits we have coming in Autosport, although I always will have a special place in my heart for open road tracks. I, personally, would have welcomed some of the point-to-points back in this installment, maybe re-working them into lapped circuits.sjsharp2010 said:
that's one thing I'm liking too there wasn't really enough circuit tracks in Grid 2 for my liking. I'm not complaining about street tracks as they do have their place in racing but the way they were used in Grid it felt more like playing Dirt than Grid tbh. Grid should be more track focused like F1 but with the touring/Endurance cars we see in the games. It's certainly looks like that Autosport is quite literally putting this series back on track. :pPeteTheDuck said:Looking at the track list, I am really really pleased that the focus is more on actual race circuits than city. I've not ordered the black edition either as I thought it wasn't erally worth it and alsio as an offline player I doubt it would be that much use to me. B ut then I went with the standard disc versiongaryjpaterson said:

I though t I would set up a thread for screenshots and or vids for Grid Autosport so that they are all in one place so people can look at the game and everything is in one place Feel free to add pictuers and vids of your own you find through youtube and other sources.
Here's a touring vid https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfK7Vx3pMtA I know this vid is already up here on another thread but seeing as it's the only good Endurance one I can find right now I thought I'd put It up in here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIVTzkOfDmk Here's a vid of street racing I found https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUVfEAVdV64 In some of these vids there is the Hockenheim opener whether you choose to skip that part of the vid or not is up to you. Here is some Open wheel action https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAmsWtkH77U Can't seem to find any Tuner discipline right now but if anybody does feel free to add it. -

I know Easy is generally Amateur pace as I generally race that in career mode so would imagine medium is pro and Hard was Legend not 100% sure though

Just thought I'd say I've found a lot of good vids on youtube about pretty much all the opening events in career mode in all the disciplines if people want to start up a thread and post them up on this Forum it might make it a lot easier for people to find and see what goes on in the various Autosport disciplines. Just an idea I may set up a thread to do this later if nobody beats me to it but don't have time right now -
yeah forgot about mentioning that rule :Dmpopa said:
Cars must use just one setting for gear box for the whole season, so we will see 8th gear only on really fast tracks like Monza.mmpaw37 said:My requests for F1 2014 are:
1. Correct car models with accurate steering wheels.
2. Real sounds.
3. Formation lap.
4. Podium (But not essential).
5. Manual control for pit stops.
That's it really, and much as the same requests as many others.
But, on a side note, I've noticed that in every GP this year, most if not all the teams cars while on track haven't really used the 8th gear.
Take Mercedes at Monaco for instance, at the fastest part of the track through the tunnel, they didn't even use the 7th gear, let alone 8th!...There's one for you Codies!
A suggestion would be to include a pre-qualifying/race gear ratio selection in the car setup, maximum 7 gears or maximum 8 gear usage.

on one hand I'd like it but on the other I'm not so suer yes CM produce some great racing games but with F1 already in their hands do they rally need another open wheeler to distract them given what happened with F1 2013 I'm not so suer it's worth the hassle would be nice to see one but I think it would distract from the other series -

I'm pretty sure they keep an eye on F1 and the changes that have occurred it's just a case of incorporating it into the game ideally without making a mess of it this timemmpaw37 said:sjsharp2010 said:

Yes I can remember now. However, I was just giving Codemasters a 'heads up' as it were. Although, come to think of it, i'm sure they are on the case. Obviously, the torque from the engines this year is clearly visible.
One other thing I would like to mention is the possibility of using 'lift and coast' to save fuel. Whether this can be implemented successfully into the game is another thing, although i'm sure we can expect some fuel saving, I hope a little better from last year.

Indeed I agree although it does have a lot of tracks I like mostly because I love racing them in F1 especially Sepang, Hockenheim and Abu Dhabi just adding those 3 has got me really excited for this game fortunately it does have others too but still it is an awesome track list and with the fact you have slight variations where you only race round say half the full track in some races makes it interesting as well one of the things to come out of Grid 2 that I actually enjoyed was the various different ways you had to take the track really spiced the action up at least for meRubyRuby said:I was just looking again at the confirmed/likely track list on RallyDriven's thread and I've just got to say, looking at what we know we've got and disregarding what else we would like to see added, this is a great track list. Sure, it would be easy to add 20 more, but the existing list of 21 looks really good to me. I can drop a few tears for missing friends, but this is good stuff.

Perhaps you're not playing the right ones or you need to turn the difficulty down as the COD's can be quite tricky shooters I've found at least the ones I have are quite tricky at timesas I've never beaten them. Battlefield I've found to be a little bit easier but usually prefer to graduate towards games that require more thought than pure gunslinging actionPeteTheDuck said:I've never really played shooting games before (apart from the odd COD game at a mates' house) and I'm pretty rubbish at them. Anyway, I got sent some games for that Easter egg designing competition I won and it included Bodycount. So I fired it up and I'm still rubbish :p The game is really good, the graphics, the audio, but I've got no hope haha
