Agreed I think a few cars from the 70's and 80's would be plenty enough really right now if they are adding classics this year. Personally I would prefer it I think to just forget classics this year and sort out the gameplay especially on the lower difficulties because 2013 is a mess and it's only going to get worse if it's not sorted. If there is to be any new features make them career mode features as career mode needs a big freshen up as it is getting a little staledirt3joe said:

Exactly, I would be 99% sure there would be at least 3x or 4x the amount of players who only play offline only compared to those play online and I'm one of those. It is a personal choice, not because of skill or internet connection but those are deciding factors for many others. I play plenty of other games online and some competitively but I think the AI in racing games is getting to a point where you don't need to race online for a challenge and I'm sure it will only improve.RubyRuby said:Don't know if you are old or not, gor, but I am. PC/keyboard, offline single player - GRID since 2008.@sjsharp2010I agree as well, all the focus is on trying to make the AI harder at the higher end (I admit to being in favour of that) and forgets about the other side. There must be a better way to balance it.Yeah I'm just trying to make sure. that what happened with F1 2013 doesn't happen again because again that will hurt the games sales if the game doesn't perform as designed Not sure if you remember on the old forums when 2013 came out but I'm sure @Loore does :p as he was here then and all the arguments over the Amateur difficulty that brewed up afterwards as I know I and quite a few others were not too happy about that. I wouldn't want that too happen to Autosport as it looks like CM are trying to clean up the mess they crated which they deserve credit for I just hope it pays off. I'm all for people wanting a hardcoer challenge if they're up for it but I can't play at that leve4l and if I don't feel I can't compete at the games easiest levels I won't buy them because there wouldn't be any point to it. I remember Anthony Davidson's interviews when he was talking about F1 2010 where he was talking about the fact that some simulator games were actually much harder than driving the actual car. He was happy with the fact that 2010 simulated whsat it was lik to edrive one of those machines withoutmaking it too hard for the player and that was one thing he liked about the game and that's one thing I liked about that too and i9n 11 and 12 they stuck with that but with 2013 I feel something got lost along the way I'm not exactly suer what but in my opinion it left it in a bit of a mess and needs straightening out.
That's good to know :D it certainly looks from the outside watching the vids that it has a very much Shift style structure to the career mode where you work your way up through tiers in each discipline. I know Shift takes me a while to negotiate whereas Grid 2 I can negotiate pretty quick so career mode is certainly looking better and better all the time at the momentLoore said:Single player is quite lengthy, if you're doing everything in the game then it'll eat a lot of hours. You've also got custom cup where you can setup your own events. Worth noting that in single player you've also got the likes of the GRID Legends events, which take place across multiple disciplines. Global challenge has turned into RaceNet challenge this time around, will feature six events each week - one per discipline and one random extra. Will have global leaderboards in the game too, not just friends.

there are people from different countries on this forum we are just all incredibly diplomatic -
no they aren't yet but I think that's because all CM are focused on right now is Autosport once Grid Autosport is out then the attention will switch F1's way that's my feeling anyway I think until then we have to be patient and wait and see what Autosport brings us first -
I try but generally I keep al the buttons configured to one area of the keyboard for example on F1 I use the arrow keys to drive the car keypads 0 and 1 for controlling Kers and DRS and the Pg up pg down Delete and end for the quick menu will probably use this configuration for Autosport as well. Doing this way does certainly make it a bit easier for me.RubyRuby said:@ sjsharp2010:

probably wouldn't be this but I'd choose Valencia as I love that track from F1 2010/12 -
although I still like Grid 2 in fact just bought a DLC pack as I never touched that when it first came out and thought I'd give it a look in SP mode of course. The moer I'm hearing the moer I'm liking too. Yes Grid 2 has it's frailties but in my opinion was still a fun game just not as much fun as it probably could have been the career mode was just too short. It look like they've learnt their lesson for this time round as it sounds like Autosport will be a BLAST. So credit for CM for dusting themselves down and giving it another go because this is exactly the kind of response the Grid series needed. I just hope the F1 guys take note of this and deliver something equally impressive. Won't hold my breath but it would be nice :)RubyRuby said:Last year, the more I heard about G2 the less I liked it. It's just the opposite with GRID A. Although I'm disappointed with a few developments, the more I learn about it the more I think it's going to be worth a buy.

there are as I'm in that club too I sometimes play games with others but mostly with family at Christmas we might play a few games of Fifa against each other or a quiz game like Who want's to be a Millionaire generally with computer games though I compete against the AI because my disability kind of prevents me from being able to compete competitively online as I play with only 1 hand on the controls. |That's why I play low level AI as it gives you a chance to adapt to the changing circumstances whenever things like that happen in games. That's why I argue to try to make suer that the slower difficulties aren't forgotten ahbout as I felt happened with F1 2013RubyRuby said:Don't know if you are old or not, gor, but I am. 3 did I didn't play it as I didn't want to spoil the fun having already got and done playthroughs of the first 2 and I only bought into the series about the octoobertime before 3 came out I think but 3 did have a demo as it's downloadable through origin I never saw ME 2's demo though I bought the series based partly on recommendations and also what I saw in youtube vids and being impressed with what I saw but either way after having experienced it I certainly don't regret taking the plunge love playing the Soldier and adept classes most. It's game i'll always continue to play as I do plan on doing moer playthrough's eventually. in fact was thinking being a Renegade Adept next :p I think the demo was just the first level of the Reapers arriving to start their attackRevolvingPrawn said:@sjsharp2010 ME2 absolutely has a demo :p I played it before I even owned any of the games, and I checked Steam before posting about it, it's definitely there. 1 doesn't have a demo, and I don't remember 3 having one, but could be wrong about that. For me, 1 has the weakest gameplay but best story, 2 has a mix of good gameplay and good story, 3 has fantastic gameplay and the weakest story but saying that, it's still a great game!

I know it is as that's exactly what I said I just find having to deal with these things a tad annoying is allPurple44 said:The reason for Steam is to give publisher\ game maker some kind of DRM. Steam has become an except-able forum of DRM for PC players.
We could go back to GFWL! GRRRRRR If Micosoft would of kept it running!
No GFWL on my newest gaming computer. :)
GRID Autosport still a no buy for me. :(

Indeed offline is very important o me as that the focus of my efforts and will be on this game too.DarkRedslayer said:

Same here just annoying though that we still have to use systems like Steam to get them to work even if we are just interested ion the single player part of the games. Fair enough if multiplayer is your thing but for single player I think it's pointless although I think it's done to prevent piracy it is annoying.RubyRuby said:I would rather pay to import a disc then not have one. Got into Steam not long ago and have downloaded just enough to confirm that I really don't like it. On my miserable service it means spending a day or two nursing the damned thing along (G2), vs an hour installing from a disc. The freight for the disc is still a bargain to me.

takes a bit of getting into but when you do it's totally worth it as I struggled at first to understand what was happening but now I really appreciate it and is now one of if not my favourite games especially ME2 anywaycouger1981 said:
I finished the first game but got bored with the 2nd one, haven't tried ME3 yet.RevolvingPrawn said:Herby007 said:@RevolvingPrawn you've pretty much convinced me with your last statement. Don't suppose there is a demo you can grab for the first one? Also, any idea if you can play the first two on Steam and then transfer the save for origin to use?Good! You won't regret it man. Another way to put it, I remember a large majority of the Mass Effect characters, and I can remember what each of them did or didn't do and how I interacted with each of them. With Assassin's Creed, I can remember the gist of the storylines, and I've only actually managed to finish a full AC game once. Mass Effect, I've played each game multiple times over to see how if I choose a different path, or say something completely, it'll effect whatever happens next :)Not that I know of, but Mass Effect 2 does have a demo :) It was playing that that first got me into ME. It should be just about spoiler free, and it'll give you a small glimpse into how it works. As for the save files, I'm not sure at all bud. I'd guess it'd work, but @sjsharp2010 might know better than me. I did all of my numerous playthroughs on the 360 :p

I did all of my numerous playthroughs on the 360 :pI think you're thinking of ME3 3 has a demo I don't think 1 and 2 do at leas t I don't think I've seen one.As for game saves with ME2 you have to tell the configuration utility where they are stored on the PC in order for it to pick them up the place they're stored as default in Windows 7 is usually I think Users>username> My Documents>Bioware>MassEffect>save or something like that anyway you should be able to find it by looking for the name you gave your Shepard in the game as the filesave is usually called the same name you give your Shepard and basically direct the config utility to that location. All you have to do is click on copy Mass effect 1 save and tell it where it is. Mass Effect 3 isn't a problem as ME3 finds and does this automatically. This is with the disc versions though. I think 1 and 2 are on Steam 3 you would have to get through Origin as it's Origin powered anyway but definetwely worth it.
Like you @RevolvingPrawn I've played the game multiple times too I never seem to get tired of it.
I'd say 1 has got the weakest graphics but the strongest story and is a little bit shorter than the others as it doesn't have as many missions but the missions it does have aer quite long and very expansive 2 is probably the best overall package as everything seems pretty solid and 2 is also the longest part takes me the better part of a week to get through it mind you that is with all the DLC
3 again is quite long has the best graphics but is probably the weakestof the 3 in terms of story but still very solid.
Here's a little taster of what to expect https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nETxAJsD0N4 -

Had I not just replaced my headphones I may have been interested too but too late for me -
tbh I wouldn't be surprised if they skipped classics altogether as I think I already know what this years new feature will be and that is next gen that is all along with the altered rules and res for this year. Of course not forgetting the new engines/power units whatever they want to call them I suspect. I just hope they sort out the lower levels though given how unbalanced 2013 was as I can't see myself putting too many hours into that in the near future given the way it playsAPR193 said:The classic content in this years game is going to have to be massive to interest me in buying the game. I'm simply not interested enough in the sport this year to buy and play a game about it, I've not even watched the last couple of races and fell asleep during China. Really am hoping for a masive classic section to the game.

I only download some games mostly the yearly release title games like FiFA basically to help save shelf space as these types of games don't change much from year to year but for the games that really matter to me I still buy disc copies but it depends on the game and how badly I want it. I nearly skipped 2013 as well and tbh after playing the game there are days when I wish I had because apart from the classic part I don't really enjoy it as much as the others. I only bought it on download so don't have a disc copy but it's still fun just not as much fun as I would have liked.Awong124 said:
I never buy digital games unless it's a small indie title. I almost skipped F1 2013 because the physical copy never came out in North America, and I didn't want to import from Europe. Even though I think F1 2013 is an awesome game after having played it, I still wouldn't buy a digital copy. It ended up working out for me though.sjsharp2010 said:

well if you like your Sci-Fi then you'll love Mass Effect that's for sure Epic trilogy not to mention one of my personal favourites :DHerby007 said:I need a new game, something to sink my teeth into that'll keep me entertained. Assassins Creed and Mass Effect. Think I might take a plunge and get one of them.Or I could just buy a few books and read them instead...

have to agree with Mike he did what he did to make sure Hill went into retirement too because he knew that was the only way he'd take the title. Schumacher knew his car was damaged and couldn't continue so in my opinion that counts but it's not just his actions on track though as I felt he had a bit of arrogance in his interviews as well in general just his overall demeanour seemed arrogant to me. I'm not saying he didn't deserve the success he got because for the most part I think he did but In general he didn't strike me as particularly friendly and a win at all costs kind of guy during those years
F1 2014 - what platforms is it being released on?
