That's the end of Canada then, no contract beyond this season, gets a cheap deal and too many races for next year.
not necessarily if they extend it to 20 like they did in 2012 or they might alternate with  Spa like they originally planned to a couple of years ago or something

  2. NFS Shift had a good system where if your tyres went on the grass at a corner you would get a 5 sec penalty and your gear would drop back to 1st.
yeah it's hard to control a car that's off line in Shift and  hard to recover it too not suer about the 5 second penalty but it definetly slows you down and makes things hard to control when you make a mistake as when I've done some of the one on one races it's certainly cost me a few of those

  3. Just out of curiosity, what formations do all of you like to play? Do you vary between when playing at home and away? Prefer a DM, AM? One striker or multiple?
Depends on who I'm playing in each match I try to be as versatile as possible and pick a team and setup to suit each occasion that I hope will get me the win. I tend to use 4-4-2, 4-3-3 or 4-5-1 most of the time as my primary formations but I do use others as well

Cant see how this could be on next-gen if GRID Autosport isn't, considering they both are made using ego engine.W
Well I think I remember reading somewhere that Autosport was going to be their last old gen title. Whether that's true or not I don't know but only time will tell us the answer to that if that is the case then I assume we can look forward to seeing 2014 on the new systems. We do know that the PC version is getting some graphical tweaks compared to the console version. Possibly with a view to using them on next gen systems? I don't know but it's certainly a possibility.

Getting sick of the PS4 game updates there seems to be always new updates everyday with a min of 1gb download.
Shouldn't the games update automatically if you leave the system in Standby mode? That's what I do...
I'll check that out in the settings but its always starts to update as soon as i turn PS4 on.
Leave your PS4 in standby mode (takes up barely any power) and it will update automatically, assuming you haven't turned any of those options off. MUCH more convenient and saves a lot of time. Plus, by leaving it in standby mode, you can buy games/demos from the store (phone or computer) and they will automatically start to download, even if you are away.
Looks like i won't be using standby anymore and switching it completely off

Interesting article, but I suspect there's a bit more to that story. Also, what about PCs, laptops, kitchen appliances? I'm sure Sony and MS will lower the power requirements with future updates since the OS is constantly improving. For me, the convenience of everything being updated and ready to go outweighs the extra power usage.
Might try it with the standby turned on and check the power usage when the bill comes in.
probably best as sometimes reports like that can exaggerate. I think it's up to each individual to decide what's best for them . I wouldn't say dismiss the reports altogether as some can be accurate but some reports do have a tendency to exaggerate

  6. In the v8's they use tyre bundles inside corners, a great preventative for corner cutting in the non open wheel categories.
I know @Loore‌ has already mentioned there's going to be some tyre bundles. Most probably on chicanes?
Also I just want some clarification on how the game determines track limits?
Is the kerb classified as infront of or behind the white line?
Kerbs are always behind the white line.
yeah that's how I view it too

  7. What an epic opener to the season I've just had and shows exactly everything I love about football drama action and plenty of goals. 2-0 down after 20 minutes back level by the half hour and then came away with a win of 4-3 both my frontmen getting 2 goals each with the decisive goal coming just a minute before the end brilliant

Ah, it seems you were a betatester of GRID Autosport and have originally described GA's (not GRID2's) approach to sorting players in starting grid.

Absolutely agree. Random grid order would probably be the most reasonable default option. As an alternative option, some sort of qualification (like F1) would be nice too.
I could see the one shot quali mode working well there then

Flashback is just killing concept of a racing.

I can see why some don't like it I know I use them mosdtly either to correct mistakes or tyo ditch an unfair penalty I've fwlt I've been given in the game but that's only in single player moed I find it does help especially on tracks that I'm not that familiar with too Maybe they don't work too well online but offline they definitely serve their uses

  10. My brother's just realised he's been using dog shampoo for the past couple of weeks. I'm dying with laughter right now.  =))
Ask him if his hair is feeling a bit ruff from it :p
    nice response :p
Lol, I thought it was terrierble, but it was the best I could think of in 15 seconds ;)
well as long as he doesn't start barking up the wrong tree he'll be fine
    :))

A little oval racing isn't bad.  It worked as a decent change of pace in NFS ProStreet.  But as a major part of the career game - not for me, thanks.  Plenty of other places to go for that.

    Frank
yeah it's the same in the Shift games there are oval races but as far as I know no disciplines on it I think it's best if you're going to have ovals in this type ogf game have it in a mix of stuff there aer still Nascar games out there good/bad that can still provide us with an oval challenge should we want one

I went years without playing FM (thought it would be too complex for my small brain) but I downloaded the 2012 demo and I was instantly hooked. Think I have close to 1000 hours now.

If any game, or indeed demo, is worth the effort it's Football Manager.

And I played FM whilst my processor in my laptop hit almost 100 degrees. Man up, @flsince08
I got hooked way back on the Amiga playing Premier Manager I think it was. I think that was the first football manager game I played. it didn't have things like press interaction or keeping your players happy and things like that likre the modern ones do. it was moer like the way Fifa is now but without the playing you just picked the strategy and team and upgraded the stadium from time to time You still had a budget and had to make signings and stuff like that though it was still good enough to give me hours of fun though played it a lot with my dad too where we each took a team and played together. tbh last night while playing my processor stayed pretty cool almost as if it was idling but then mine's a desktop not a laptop
