I think the other teams shift about to though as in the season I'm doing on 2012 Lotus have come on strong in the opening races and I've not driven for them whereas lsat season it was mostly my team Mercedes and McLaren that were strong as I had some really hard battles with both Button and my then team mate Schumacher especially at Hockenheim I hada tough fight withthem and won. So I think it does happen in the other teams tooTourgott said:
Yes, you're right. But AFAIK it was never so that e.g. Mercedes got the best car in the grid or Red Bull only the fourth strongest and so on. That would make the Career more interesting because who thought that Hamilton would be in the best car 2014 when he left McLaren 2013.sjsharp2010 said:
yeah they shift about depending on how successful you are in each of the teams you race for in your career they shift about in 2012 as well as in 2010 and 2011 but they took this out in the 2013 game for what I don't know but I certainly preferred it when it was in. For example in the career I'm doing right now on 2012 I started with Marrussia in year 1 in year 2 Marrussia were in and around mid table through most of the races and picking up the odd points finishTourgott said:
Hm I played the hell out of 2012 but never experienced this. Are you sure?sjsharp2010 said:
It was like that in 2012 and the earlier games but for some reason CM took that outTourgott said:As for the career it should be much more difficult to get a seat in a Tier1 team. Would make the career mode more challenging. And maybe it would be a good idea to make the strength of the cars random in season 2. So maybe in season 2 Ferrari is the best car, in season 3 Mercedes and so on.

I have it it is good although you will need to download the patches to correct names and such though uses the same engine as they use for the new Metal gear solid games I believeSILVERARR0WS said:Anyone here played PES 2014 ? If so is it any good ? Really need an alternative to FIFA .

yeah the bucking bronco power is useful for large groups but you still have to kill them as that just throws them into the air and is only good when the group is close togetherRevolvingPrawn said:
Think I've mistaken Old Man Winter for one of the others :p Best just to stick with Devils Kiss then and use both the traps and normal version of it :) Best used when there's a group of them together heh.sjsharp2010 said:

Just reinstalled FM on my pc now and set up my career running with the following leagues
Brazil
England
France
Germany
Italy
Spain
and the USA
Starting with Dover in the Blue square south division
bet he's wondering how you managed to do it with his former team :pHerby007 said:Yeah, I'd of said Ajax to Zaragoza is a bit of a side step. Same with getting the Scotland job. Need to go have a couple of good seasons and manage a side in Europe before heading to a top team. Then you take the international job.Just beat Barca 3-0. Totally dominated them. Take that Moyes baby.

Take it how often do you get to manage your country? :DjordieDAFC said:http://speedcap.net/sharing/screen.php?id=files/73/9d/739d39bbdb61af12b82f26d7c65ef239.png

Having Diego Costa will definetely help -
wellk you're leading by 7 points so that's good was good to see Spurs doing well in your last season finishing 4th need to reinstall my game on my new system though before I can start mine as I don't have one on the go at the moment. -

I don't think I've ever managed in Holland I've had a couple of spells in Italy and Brazil I think I won the regional league in Brazil but not the national one. Can't really remember winning in Italy most of my successes have been either in the lower leagues in England or the German BundesligajordieDAFC said:Won the Eredivise 2 times with Ajax, its a very hard league cause there's about 3 or 4 other teams each season that just don't stop winning. Usually PSV, Vitesse, Gronigen and sometimes FC Twente.
Honestly in any other league i would have won the league 3 times in a row, maybe more :(

tempting but the game in general isn't that hard it's about finding the right tactics that work because the coer can take a fair amount of punishment just need to keep the enemies occupied long enough to finish them off kind of reminds me of another level in Star Trek Elite force 2 when you're in Engineering on the Enterprise protecting the warp core from a similar type of attack I eventually managed to crack that one so I'm sure I can do so with this. it's just a case of being persistant and keep tryingcouger1981 said:
I gave up after 10 go's and Youtube'd the ending lolRevolvingPrawn said:@sjsharp2010 Yea I did the same on my first go at it, but don't worry about protecting it too much. As long as you use Songbird as soon as he's available and just keep spamming ammo at enemies, the core should still have just enough health left at the end. Just keep moving I'd say, most enemies will shoot at the core if you do :)
-
seems to me you make a better coach than a player 123 at least not bad leading the league by 6 points of course with only 19 games gone you still have a long way to go though but it's a good start -
RevolvingPrawn said:You know the power core they're attacking? Get Elizabeth to spawn some medkits just behind it and stay up there near it. Once those run out there's another area nearby you can get her to spawn them. Plus there's a rack of RPG's just off to one side of the core, just keep spamming those till they run out.yeah I noticed that you have to protect that and I generally just stand by it or in front when fighting them that's why I was thinking use the possession vigor on those that are attacking it to get them to attack their comrades and just keep spamming them with my weapons and hopefully I'll get the upper hand.
Sounds familiar :p I remember managing Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga for about 5 seasons and winning the league at least 4 times with them on one of the early Championship manager games think I had Jurgen Klinsmann as my assistant found him very helpful in getting things to work the way I wanted. Think I won a Champions League during that time too if I remember rightly. The german league is a relatively easy leagure to manage in though I've foundHerby007 said:Pretty impressive.Yeah in FM I always start a game as Cheltenham Town and spend the first few years learning the mechanics/tactics and get them up to the Premier League. By then the status quo of managers for the top teams have shifted and I either get a position at a top team or I keep on at Cheltenham and see if I can't establish them.In my current save I decided to take over Fulham from the get to and I established them as a top 5 team before getting the Man Utd job after Moyes was sacked.

so am I that's one of the reasons why I installed the shift games for practicing for AutosportRon666 said:Ain't no game like the original most wanted. Eagerly waiting for Grid Autosport
Yeah I read that's the way to do it the main problem I'm having is Songbirds recharge time because every time you use him you have to wait for him to recharge before you can use him again, and in that mean time you get pummeled and your ship gets smashed I was thinking of throwing the Possession vigor at some of them and get them to turn against each other thereby directing their fire away from me to try to help don't know if it'll work but it might help keep them at bay until Songbird is ready to strike again. Been an interesting game though I'm sure I'll find a tactic that works for me as the game for the most part has been easier than I thought fun and enjoyable though it's just the last fire fight that's got me scratching my headRevolvingPrawn said:
Get Songbird to attack the big airships while you kill anybody who comes aboard. If there's no airships around, big or little, then get him to attack the deck closest to the enemies who are giving you trouble.sjsharp2010 said:

Amazed they haven't raced the indycar at COTA yet. Either or both is possible but of the 2 I suspect Fuji would be the more likely to get the nod given it has been in CM games before as I think it was in the previous Race driver gamesMickdoohan said:@Speedball Daytona could be a possibility because of the Daytona 24hr layout.
Also the latest indycar layout will hopefully show up in GAS
Also maybe Either Motegei or Fugi as the Japanese endurance equivalent of DTM is in the game and also the nations history of solid Single seaters categories
I digress, apart from Indy I can't really see another oval actually being included.
are there any we maybe missed??
Rockingham???Rockingham was in race driver 1 I remember that as they had both the oval and road course in that game but it was a relatively new trsack then not sure whether it's erally popular enough to really include it in a modern day racer though but I could be wrong I don't see any other ovals either beiong put in given there are 22 venues to go in I think they said I wo0uld imagine they'd split it down the middle 11 street trscks and 11 race tracks. it's just a question of what tracks
not too suer what you meant by Yas marina (or Abu Dhabi as I call it) not being reversed in Grid 2 as I remember having to drive it backwards or in reverse as you say and finding it tough going on the game so I think you'll find it was in there as I think driving it backwards was one of the last challenges you had to do in career mode if I recall at least in single playerSpeedball said:I still think Indianapolis is likely because it was in Grid 2. Additionally someone from the Codies team mentioned 'ovals' in a post, so my money is on Indy coming back. (I also thought DTM cars would show up, so obviously I don't know much - but I called that'd Bathurst and Brand's Hatch were 'likely' and those are in.)
As far as the others Indycar currently, I dunno. Pocono would be nice, since the only games I've seen it in are NASCAR games. Milwaukee would be pretty cool too.
However, when they say they have 100+ layouts for 22 locations, I have my doubts as to how many ovals without infield tracks are going to be present. This is especially true when you look at how many layouts each track known has so far (if we count reverses as a separate layout double the numbers):- Hockenheim has 3 or 4, depending on if they incorporate the old circuit into the map.
- Brands Hatch has 2 (4 if they have reversed like Grid 2)
- Sepang has 3
- Yas Marina has 5 - reversed layouts were not available in Grid 2.
- Jarama had 1 layout with a reverse in RD:Grid.
- Paris had 6 different layouts in Grid 2, not counting Liveroutes.
- Washington D.C. had 5 forward, 5 reversed, with a total of 10.
- San Fransisco had 3 forward and 3 reversed, total of 6.
- Detroit had 2 layouts for Derby. If they include the street layouts from the original Grid that's 4 forward and 4 reversed on top of that, for a total of 10.
- Mount Panorama had 2 in Grid 2, normal and reversed.
So, that's 53 routes optimistically. With 12 circuits left to be revealed you'd have to average 4 layouts per environment to reach 101. If Indianapolis is in then the 5 routes from Grid 2 are probably coming back. As far as other ovals? I dunno man.... seems like they'd have to pick up the slack somewhere else for that to work.

I have been a long time player of Codemasters games and GRID2 was the first one I skipped from the evolved "toca/racedriver" series.GAS is going back to what Codies is good at: Delivering an autosport experience! Sure there will be points of improvements but it's with every release like that. It's just the way all has been communicated, the transparancy, the admitting of making an error, the clear no nonsense presentation, the interaction with the community etc etc that just gives me lot of faith. I truly believe it will be a serious racing bomb on the pre-gen consoles and it will be a game that probably brightens the future for some extra ordinary racers from Codies in the (near) future.
Muckymu . . . sorry, man, but your format is too dated, it's the style of dated forums . . . I've moved on.
Making it "them and us" and continually being on the attack for no reason isn't me, and if you think it is you missed the point of my posts.
It has always been about responding in a relevant way to how we get treated, and for years we have been treated like shit, so I replied accordingly. Now, there is contrition and humility in the equation when CM finally have a revelation and understand better the situation.
If a guy says sorry why would we then want to continue in the old way, makes no sense . . .unless we like to wallow in bringing misery to the table all the time. . .and being pigheaded gets us nowhere so maybe we aren't the deaf ones here.
Thing is, let's say this game delivers and online brings just the kind of experience we are happy with . . . my money says you will have the game in the blink of an eye . . . bit like Assie, and his "negative" stance on buying it, lol . . .
