whilst Argentina are great at attacking I just get the feeling they're a little too fragile defensively( this is just my opinion) but I could see them making the quarters or semi's with luck on their side not to suer about winning it thoughSILVERARR0WS said:

I'm not all in all a little disappointing season for us he was always going to be a stop gap measure I think to see us out till the end of the season. I think the chairman wants a more experienced man in and tbf Sherwood isn't it. He started off well enough but then things went down hill again pretty quick had he managed to keep the early momentum going and been moer of a threat to the bigger teams and got closer to the top 4 then he may have been given moer time but he didn't. I think he has potentisal as a manager but he needs to build himself up at a smaller club first like Martinez did with Wigan before he get's a shot at a bigger job like Spurs.fIsince08 said:Very surprised Tottenham sacked Sherwood...Anyway, back to the world cup. Jozy Altidore is in the America squad so they're bound to win with the amount of goals he scores.

Trying as little as possible to sound bitter, I don't think incredible is quite the right word. Crashing in to two cars, speeding behind the safety car, being brought back in to the race by numerous safety cars and conditions that perfectly helped the Mclaren with its superior ability to heat it's tyres up that year all contributed to what was a messy drive. Canada 2011 is an overrated race, in general and in the career of Jenson Button. If you ask me. It's probably considered his greatest drive because of the drama at the end, but if you ask me both Hungary and Suzuka were more impressive wins for him that season.sjsharp2010 said:even the race in Canada when he came back from last place to win was incredible

well I wasn't surprised we qualified as it wasn't a hard qualifying group granted I think a win or 2 more should have been got but I always felt it to be a relatively easy group we are an OK side but not up to the standard that's required to win the tournament though. If we played like we did in the 2002 tournament then I'd say we'd have a chance but I can't see it happeningmaybe when the next one rolls around we'll be in a better position but I just don't see it happening in 2014. the only Englishman likely to take home a world title this year is the one behind the wheel of the Mercedes in F1.Tommig1995 said:To be fair, I was more surprised that England qualified that New Zealand didn't. Yes, going into the last 2 games I didn't think we had a chance. Up until that point we'd only beaten San Marino and Andorra. Everything else was a Roy Hodgson standard 0-0 or 1-1 draw, which wouldn't have got us through...

any chance of seeing some Endurance type racing or the tuner/drift discipline? Would be good to see a little of everything. I'm particularly interested in the Endurance one -
What racing game functions? Tbf to them they put in everything I'd expect to see in a racing game and tbh CM aren't the only racing team that use flashbacks in their games as NFS have them too (although they're called rewinds in that game) at least in NFS The Run they did. I generally think flashbacks are a good idea for the novice player really. I don't know about online as I don't touch that part but offline it has everything a racing game needs.RTAnoskills said:Yeah but this is Codemasters, They make racing games and leave out basic racing game functions. Then add in flashbacks.PGR4 had TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP (3 races) and TEAM EVENT (1 race). Great fun.

I agree I kind of think they are on an equal footing in terms of talent and I support both as I'm English myself as I always support the sports stars from my country when watching sport so to me it doesn't matter to me which one wins I'll cheer whichever one does and am happy to see Hamilton on his little winning run at the moment take another win and I'd say he's on course for title number 2. It's early yet but if he does keep the momentum up in Monte Carlo I'd say it's almost his to lose based on previous years when drivers have done 5 on the bounce they've gone on to take the title.Tommig1995 said:There's no doubt in my mind that Button is as good as Hamilton in a good car, but Hamilton probably gets more out of a bad one, unless he's not in sync with himself. Button won over 3 years because Hamilton just wasn't right in the head in 2011. Don't detract that though, Button still outscored Hamilton...

maybe not but I don't hold much hope for us getting far anyway given the group we've got as it is a kind of group of Death really we may be ok against Costa Rica but against Uruguay and Italy we were always going to struggle I think it's more about giving the Next gen the experience of the occasion rather than going out to win as I don't think that'll happen. We will try to win of course but I don't expect to much from this tournamentEdMa said:Baines wouldn't play as well as Cole in the big games, which considering Italy and Uruguay are iuo first two games,I think its a mistake not taking him, if only for the experience that he brings which he can pass onto the younger players. Didnt play for almost three months this season then was solid as a rock against two of Europe's best attacking teams in three games in a week.

I would imagine there will be as I'd imagine that'll be the case on single and multiplayer as that's I think how most of these motorsports games work in determining how much XP you earn or whatever and whatever options are available to the player throughout the game. I can't say for sure though but based on the various racing games of recent times that I've played that's what I think -
well I finally found Elizabeth :p Bioshock Infinite's proving to be quite the game. -
In general so do I although with games like the Fifa series and F1 I've started buying on download (but only because for the most part they're yearly release games with just a few changes from year to year) but in general terms I'm with you on that if I enjoy someone's work enough I'd rather have a hardcopy of it that I can treasure but with games and stuf that aren't released every year then yes like you I'd rather have a hard copyTommig1995 said:

BTW, it's cheaper buying CD's than on iTunes at the minute! Much prefer having a hard copy of something (same with games).

yeah that's what I think too the merging of Grid 1's type career mode with Grid 2's type graphics it looks is the right move and the addition of extra assists for the novice/disabled player too which is something Grid 1 didn't have is good too as for me that was Grid 1's big let down personally had the right career mode structure I think just too steep a learning curve for the casual player to get to grips with IMO.SiestaUK said:Grid Autosport looks like a solid step in the right direction. It's just a shame that Grid 2 was so far off the mark. If Grid 2 had been what Grid Autosport looks like being then we would all be looking forward to a true next gen Codies racer by now! I'm just a little worried that they are falling behind, as when they do release a true next gen game we will already have Project Cars (which is looking amazing) and GT7!
