Sorry about the late reply, but I also like to listen to the sounds that the video game I play has. It's better than music and I am not a massive music fan, anyway.

Think it’ll be F1 2014 all over again

I doubt that because of the backwards compatibility it should help give Codies more time to adapt if they need it. I don't think they'll be making the 2015 mistake again as I think the thing that held them back was the fact that PS4 and XB1 weren't backwards compatible at the time whereas the new systems will be so they can already just keep continuing to build on what they already have. Or at least they should be able to do.

The game should be out months before the new consoles, so I wouldn't expect any next-gen specific features. It will, I'm sure, be playable on the new consoles via backwards compatibility.

I don't expect 2020 to come out on he PS5/Xbox current gen yes not next gen having said that though I believe both consoles will have backwards compatibility as you rightly said according to what I've heard with current gen so the PS4/XB1 copy should work on the new consoles and may perform better on them. Whether you can play PS3 and earlier gens is still debateable so whilst I believe Microsoft have confirmed that both 360 and original Xbox as well as XB1 will work on the new one as far as I know Sony have only confirmed PS4 compatibility not the earlier gens as yet.

I think my Xbox purchace was a good choice. Less spending time on PC without doing anything, and EA Access allows me to play games I've been wanting to play for a long time (such as NHL games and Skate 3) with some "also on PC" games that I'd never buy like Battlefield V 🙂

Also @sjsharp2010 how was NFS Heat?

It's great fun actually I've finished the story though there are a few cars I haven't unlocked yet that I want to try. But I can see myself doing a few runs of it trying to beat the story again with different cars and things. In many ways it kind of reminds me of NFS Carbon in terms of the different race types and the need to dodge the cops and al that just with better graphics. My only criticism is that he police can seem a little overpowered especially if you get the heat level right up. Must admit I really like the avatar customisation as well in the game It adds a nice touch.

As the 2020 game is certain to be released before the ps5 by some margin I doubt it will be compatible unless all legacy games are playable on the ps5. I don't believe developers even have their hands on advance dev ps5 hardware yet. I don't believe anyone here could answer your question yet but if be interested to hear some opinions!

I believe they aer planning t omake the PS5 compatible with PS4 games but I'm not sure so don't quote me on that I know the new Xbox is supposedly going to be fully compatible though with all Xbox games from what I've heard. I doubt the PS 5is going to be made compatible with the PS3 and earlier system's games though

  6. TBH the only game I have my eye on is the Avengers game but other than that nothings looking that interstin t ome but that's the only thing on my radar atm. There may be other things later but that's the only game that has my attention right now. Other than tha tI think it'll lb ea quiet year much like this year was because aside from the RE2 remake Jedi fallen Order and Control I've not really bought any new games in 2019

you also forgot to add that the multiplayer car was added. weekly events and leagues for multiplayer was also a new addition. you can look at highlights from your previous races and save them as well the theatre which gives really good info about the cars aswell. if you look to something like fifa which is a sports game it hasn't really changed that much other than the players on the teams and maybe some game mechanics changed

I don't know about that as Fifa have made some changes this year by making it a more cinematic experience with interviews and such and the ability to customise your avatar in career mode. It looks kind of cool actually though I'm not really that far into my career on that game yet but that's mostly because I haven't played it in a while and I've been just to busy with other things it's also one of the main reasons why I haven't managed to get back to the F1 game but I think the upgraded graphics were good especially the night race graphics. Admittedly I don't see myself buying next years though mostly because I've kind of stopped watching it now due to not being able to watch the channel it's on. Also with the new consoles next year I don' t see CM making massive changes

Don't worry about the OT awards from back then it was funny to read the posts 🙂 I don't think you seemed rude back then, everyone is different when it comes to spoken English 🙂. Bumfez hasn't been around for a year or two @Hughesy says he is working out in a gym everyday lol. The forum got changed around a few times, this new forum started end of last year or start of this year but since the new forum started a lot of the older members are starting to disappear, i'll check the forums once a day but there isn't many new posts in OT.

It's funny tho, Me Hamiltonfan, Hughesy and others were talking about you and the OT awards a couple of months back 🙂

Yeah I don't visit this place as much as I used to. I still visit the Bioware forums quiet a bit but that's about it these days. The Bioware forums are always pretty active so that's never been a problem.. I still play lots of games though. In fact trying to get around to fimnaslly playing the nw eJedi fallen order game soon. I'm hoping to get around to trying the new RE2 remake as well as I bought I back when it came out in January but haven't got round to playing it asme with Shadow of the |TR's DLC's tbh. Though I've ordered a couple of Need for Speed games as I bought both the Most Wanted games and I've ordered the new Heat one as well. Also Sonic Mania too though Heat and Sonic are mostly Christmas presents

  9. Interesting move from Spurs ditching Poch to go with Mourinho. Not sure how I feel about that atm because while we have struggled a bit this season so maybe Poch's time was done. I'm not sure Mourinho's quite the type of character we need. I know he likes Spurs and the way we play so I have no issues there but whether he can get us winning a trophy after the last couple of jobs he's had I'm not so sure. I guess all we can do is give him time though.

I'll check it out when it's on sale, it does look good tho 🙂

Haven't picked up a COD game since BO3 and still haven't finished it lol

Yeah I'll likely only check it out once it's on sale as I only play the single player and given it doesn't take that long to play the campaign it's not really worth full price. Besides I've got my eye on the Star Wars Jedi game coming out. So I'm busy looking forward to that atm.

Read a few reviews of Modern Warfare at the weekend and I have watched a few gameplay clips now: definitely keen to pick it up sooner rather than later!

Yeah it does look quit good graphically s oI ma ypick it up later when it comes down in price. Not right now though as I've just had a whopping £150 bill for a new power pack for my PC as my old one died. Plus the new Jedi game coming out soon as well so somethings going to have to give.

Actually 2019 is worse not identical, as they stripped out the online championship mode and added a league mode where weather, time of day and saving between sessions are non existent. They gave PC and PS4 players keyboard button binding support but not xbox, and they go driver transfers way off and have only taken until now to fix it, but not fully.

    2018 was actually superior

From my point of view it's kind o fsimilar but I don' tactually play online just single player. But from an offline  single player point of view it is very similar.

    you're ridiculous

Indeed whilst I wouldn't say the games bad as I think some of the graphics in particular the night lighting and things like that is some of the best I've ever seen in the F1 games as it now looks like the floodlights around the track in places like Abu Dhabi and Bahrain look like they genuinely are lighting the track up  a lot like the stadium lights do in the Fifa games whereas whilst the night lighting before whilst looked OK it felt more like it was coming from an invisible source. There are definitely areas that need improvement though the AI being the most obvious one as I still feel they need to get the AI to around the same area difficulty wise of the previous games 2017 and 18. Because for me 2019 is definitely lagging behind those 2. Id it wasn't for the driver transfers to help spice things up based on what I've experienced of 2019 I'm not sure I'd be touching it much at all given outside of that and the improved graphics it's pretty much identical. Especially as I've not been playing the F1 games much these days. I have to admit I can't see myself being hyped for 20 given it was only the driver transfer admission that in the end convinced me to get 19 because before that I was on the fence and almost said no to this years game

I actually enjoyed 2017 and 2018 as well, but that's the good thing about playing games is that we are all different and enjoy different aspects 🙂

Yeah I have to admit from a gaming perspective I think I prefer 17 and 18 over what I've experienced in 19 but I think if they had kept the AI levels from 17 and 18 in 19 I think the game would have turned out better. At least from my point of view

I don't think it really matters; later during the season still plenty of bugs so why not earlier, the outcome will be the same.

I don't kno wabout thast as I don't think the earlier games had too many I thought F1 2010-2012 were al pretty clean I think but then all of those were released September time around the same time as Fifa. So I think more time definitely helps lead towards a better product but you have to be patient and wait for it. They started moving towards releasing the games earlier in the season around I believe 2015 when they finally moved to the newer consoles and since then it's been effectively one problem after another. TBH the closest at least for me they've came to making a solid game is really F1 2017 although 18 isn't too bad as I think the interviews and rule changes were nice additions as are the driver changes they've given us this year. For me the reason why the driver system is a bit skewed I think is because of the games contract system because there are so many potential windows you can move in. The ideas are there but they've just  been poorly executed because I believe they've not really had the time to tweak them and get them right.

do you think asking for a earlier release date is a good idea when the last game was a mess, totally bugged and so far way from reality that its hard to call it a official f1 game?

Agreed the more they push to try to get the games out earlier the worse they end up being so I'd asy let them take the time they need to get it right. I mean look at Fifa this year they tried a similar tactic this year with Fifa 20 by cramming loads of  new features in without any sort of proper testing and  that has been hurt this year as well because of it and EA have a lot more resources to throw at these games than CM. Rushing games out to meet fan demands is never a good thing and I think that's one of the things that need to be learnt from this year. Take your time and get it right then you will be rewarded properly.
