  1. tbh I'm just sticking with what games I have atm once I'm through my current run of Dragon Age Inquisition I was going to do a proper run of the Witcher games along with another run of Mass Effect. Intermixing between the 2 series I willalso probably move my F1 and Fifa careers I have on the go a little further on as well. I keep promising myself I'll do a proper run of the Witcher series but then keep putting it off so I've decided now's the time once I'm finished my current DAI playthrough.

Steam sales seem to be full of so much crap these days....

Indeed I can't afford much anyway and am going to have to cut back on my games or at least wait for a gap in a time I don't have to spend much before I can buy one. There's a few games that have got my attention but I'm going to have to spread them out a bit the only things I might get in the short order are the expansions for the Witcher 3 game Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine as I don't have those yet. But until F1 2016 comes out that's about the only thing I'm likely to pounce on. I have to admit though I'm looking forward to the new Fifa as well. Right now these are the only things I almost certainly will be buying There aer a couple of RPG's I like the look of The Technomancer and the Deus Ex game but will likely wait for a quiet spell before getting them though. As mum's relying on my benefits to pay a higher share of the bills lately so it's been eating away at some of my game buying stash. Thankfully Mass Effect Andromeda isn't out until next year now so don't need to worry about missing out on that

Only took me like an hour and a half to download  B) The speed I'm getting now is faster than advertised lol. That fact I'm getting it while using a £25 USB WiFi adapter makes it even more impressive. Spending £150 on a high end router was so worth it.

I could enjoy Doom even more if I could get the 144hz screen I want, anything else eats into my monitor budget I will cry lol

yeah but my connection is a little slow but given I only play games offline  it dosen't really matter tbh to me. So long as I can get to enjoy and play them. Generally I can leave Steam downloading stuff in the background while I do something else anyway so it dosen't hold me up too much.

@RevolvingPrawn Look what I just bought, more importantly look at  my download speed, I changed something in the router settings, before it was between 45 & 60, now 71 is the lowest. This is using WiFi as well. Great timing as it's a big game, but after making a cup of tea it had already downloaded 3GB.

yeah it is a big game takes me about 6 hours or so to download it. But it's worth it.

I did actually love the old LMA games to be fair.. Brian Lara cricket wasn't too bad either  :#

I agree so did I. I used to play them a lot although these days if I'm ever in a football manager mood I tend to play Football manager or just enjoy a bit of Fifa. Although tbh I don't tend to play much Football manager these days. Most of my time these days I spend playing various RPG's but I tend to find them more entertaining these days.

Not really, they had one moment and then defended the whole game. Once Woy brought on the subs that should have started we dominated. Was a good game to watch though.
That's what I meant it was a good game to watch. Besides I think they only focused on defence because they knew they couldn't match us. The only player they had that could really cause us trouble was Bale and aside from that free kick he never had a chance.
It's a real shame though that Bale isn't English as he'd be a useful talent to have in our squad given the damage he can do when on form.

Just realised, this weekend is going to be awesome! We have Le Mans, Formula 1, MotoGP, and BTCC :) Gonna have to set up multiple screens and streams I think lol
As @APR193 said Motogp is next weekend. But combine that with EURO (not sure you Brits would like to think about it :p ) and Copa America and you get a hell of a weekend!
Did the Greeks even qualify? ;)

no at least I haven't seen them at the tournament.

That Welsh Sheep shagger eating his words right now. Chat **** get banged

In fairness though Wales did give us a good game. I would say that was probably the most entertaining game of the tournament so far. Based on the games I've seen that is. I just hope we can continue to play like that because we're playing some good stuff so far. I wouldn't say we'll win but if we keep playing like that we have an outside chance. We need to keep it up though.

  10. Looks like Fifa is switching to the Frostbite engine this year.

Not suer it's a good idea personally because whilst it works well for shooters and worked quite well for DAI and I think it'll work well for MEA as well given it's a mix of shooter meets RPG. I'm not so sure it'll work that well for Fifa and personally I'd keep the Ignite one because I think it does work fine.

having thought about it some more and reading this

It's got me wondering whether the move might actually work well for the series yes faces and people in general aren't great on Frostbite but given time it might improve. The idea of introducing wind into the game sounds interesting if it works well. Only time will tell I guess.

  11. Finally getting round to playing to playing my first rogue on Dragon Age Origins have to admit going into stealth mode and launching sneaky attacks on my own is really fun and then just when they think they've got me sussed I call the calvary in to send their rear ends flying. A tactic that's been working really well for me so far.

  12. Well I just finished my first career mode season in F1 2015 (played as Kyvat, came 2nd). What a total anti-climax that was, all that it tells you at the end of the season is your teammate battle stats and where you came in the drivers/constructors championship. Hoping there's a huge work over of the career mode in 2016 because I currently have no motivation to do another season on that game.

yeah it is a little bit compared to the older ones it's still fun to race but it's not really up to the usual CM standard.

Great yet another obnoxiously long main straight -_- Seriously, does anyone benifit from it other then Mercedes ? The Mclaren Honda will have broken down before it gets to the end of the straight :D (I'm talking about Monza btw) And yes I am looking at you: Bahrain, Malaysia, Baku, Mexico (and theres alot more where that came from)
The fans? As a general rule of thumb, long straights provide more overtaking. Two of the circuits you mentioned there, Bahrain and Malysia, being an example of some of the best circuits for racing on the calendar.

yeah indeed most of the overtaking I've don in F1 games has been at the end of those straights going into the following corners. I actually prefer tracks with long straights prsonally

I'm gonna wait until the race to decide if I like it, but I have good first impressions. It's refreshing to see something a bit different than the regular boring circuits of this modern age.

Agreed the best way to judge a new track is to wait and see it in action we may be pleasantly surprised and work out well. Some of the tracks that have been added recently have.

  15. Apparently people have already started leaking footage of F1 2016, even though the closed beta has been out for less than 24 hours.
Got any links? A quick YT search shows nothing.

Also I'm guessing none of us from Off-Topic who applied got a code right?
Yeah I saw one but it was taken down just after I finished watching it. It seems CM have been pouncing on these very quickly almost as if they were ready for it which they probably were. Looked similar to 2015 to me graphics wise. They've made some changes to the hud as it looks a bit like the hud they used on the older games. Personally I'm more interested in the career mode and what that entails than the general graphics though as I knew they'd be similar to 2015 anyway.

Kind of reminds me of footage I've seen of the old Phoenix track
YOUR ALARM BELLS YOUR ALARM BELLS THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING THEY SHOULD BE RINGING
I don't have any alarm bells to ring. Besides I'd prefer to give the track a chance before dismissing it.

  18. At least it's wide I prefer wider street tracks, gives the driver a little bit more room to manoeuvre guess we won't know 100% how it'll go until we see the cars race on it though. Kind of reminds me of footage I've seen of the old Phoenix track  from the early 90's and was on the first Geoff Crammond F1 game

I like the look of the changes. Should be a good test for the drivers, can't see the chicane being taken that slowly either so could lead to mistakes in the run up to Retifilio. Positive changes for a change.
So do I  it looks to me they're only trying to tweak the track rather than make big changes to it. I think they're aware that Monza is considered a classic high speed race track and that they shouldn't take that away from it. Because it's that high speed nature of it that people love and why for me the Italian GP and Monza deserves it's spot on the F1 calendar. Because it's one of the few tracks we have left that I would put up there with the classic monster of the old Hockenheimring.
