Yeah it doesn't go down well with Varric if you leave Hawke. I don't know how much difference it makes in this game but it'll probably have an effect in the next game with what's going on at Weisshaupt in the epilogue. Plus there's the wording for the choice "Alistair/Loghain/Stroud/Hawke will likely die staying behind". So it's a bit up in the air as to whether whoever stays behind actually dies. Imagine how painful the choice would have been if they went along with their original plan of Hawke's warden friend being the Hero of Ferelden!sjsharp2010 said:
yeah Stroud is pretty much a given but then so is Loghain for me given his past. I'm not sure Varric will like me very much for this but I'll probably end up sacrificing Hawke on this occasion when I get there. But it wil be the first time I'll have sacrificed Hawke though if I go through with it as in all my playthroughs so far I chose to leave the warden behind. I've not had Alistair remain a warden before in all my previous playthrough's he's been the king except the last one when he became a drunkard as he left and never came back when I chose to turn Loghain into a warden. I tried to convgince him to marry Anora but he didn't want anything to do with it.
Haha he's a stubborn one! If you have Loghain join I think Alistair has to be toughened up during his personal quest when he meets his sister to go along with marrying Anora.Yeah I assumed as much when it happened that it was because I didn't toughen Alistair up Besides it's likely I'll be doing many more playthroughs before DA4 comes out anyway so I doubt I'd carry this particular run through. Besides I tend to only take playthroughs through that I have active at the time any previous ones I do I tend to forget about. Assuming there is a DA4 that is I'm pretty sure there will be as I heard they have 2 more DA games in the planning stages but obviously the main focus for Bioware now is ME Andromeda and getting that ready to release next year. Well given the HOF didn't show up in DA2 I thought it would always be 1 of those 3 to get the warden role seeing as Stroud can appear in DA2 twice and Alistair can be found fighting the Qunari at the end of Act 2 as well and of course Loghain is the only other possible survivor of the Blight. Plus for the HOF to appear in DA2/DAI Bioware would have had to nail down a Voice Actor for the role which likely may have annoyed a few people so I think that would have been a bit awkward. Whereas in Hawke's cvase that was already chosen it was just a case of bringing those VA's back to reprise the role. This will likely be the same with the Inquisitor assuming they have a role to play in the next game obviously it won't be a combat role like Hawke given they've lost an arm but they may still show up in an advisory capacity though like Leliana does in DAI or whatever.

Yeah it wasn't nice seeing it even knowing it didn't happen in my playthrough. One thing about it I suppose is it makes you think about some choices. They might seem like nothing right up until the end! Same with sacrificing Bull's chargers, another bad ending. I've filed them both under "one of those choices I'll never make no matter the playthrough"! Even if I decide to do a more Game of Thrones inspired playthrough! I'll let someone else do it and watch it on youtube instead :innocent:sjsharp2010 said:Wynterdust said:yeah I know I don't have the heart to do that to Cullen especially after seeing what happens with Samson in DA2. I saw the ending on a vid on youtube but haven't done it myself but I've only been through Trespasser once so far and that was with my last Inquisitor a human male Knight Enchanter. If I was going full renegade I'd probably do it but in general terms I think I'd try to help him stay off it but even then I'm not suer I'd keephim on it knowing his history. Plus you can't romance Cullen unless you help him stay off the lyrium anyway. As he breaks off with you if you keep him on it.
Yeah I played aggressive/controversial with my last dwarf on Origins as she let Loghain live but generally he dies in most of my playthroughs though. It was interesting to see Loghain in DAI though so was interesting in that respect. It'll probably be Alistairs turn this time though as I'm thinking of making my warden marry Anora and keeping Alistair in the wardens allowing him to play the warden role instead of the king one for a change.
That'll be another tough choice! Alistair or Hawke. Think I'd be stuck on the choice selection for a while on that one! With Loghain it's not so bad as he's at least redeeming himself but even then him doing the sacrifice in Origins seems better for that. Poor Stroud, he's basically a dead man walking if he's the warden choice!

Wynterdust said:Yeah probably though I've used Alix for my qunari too haha They're quite fun to use if for nothing more than towering over everyone! I'm the same but would probably go a step further and stick to elves as a main for this one. Seems more fitting imo and because Hawke was always human. I tend to mix it more with Origins since the stories as good with any character. Human noble and city elf are good for Denerim later in the game because of their origins. I'm a bit torn on which to use as I've not started again yet. All I've decided is that I definitely will be a b**** on this playthrough! Will probably do the same with Hawke. Played the humorous/charismatic version in both games but not aggressive yet. Should be fun!
His ending in Trespasser is horrible if you keep him on it. I was going to try it on another playthrough but after seeing a youtube video of it I no longer have the heart to do it! Yeah Bull's seems quite fun, similar to Sera's where it's not so serious and more of a fun one.yeah I know I don't have the heart to do that to Cullen especially after seeing what happens with Samson in DA2. Wynterdust said:Yeah definitely, I don't even consider the other voice option! It does yeah, It's supposed to be at it's best if you romance Solas as well but I always prefer Sera. Haha just have to make sure to keep him off the lyrium!
I was going to do a dalish playthrough of Origins but I don't know if I'm going to play my canon on Inquisition which is dalish so undecided what character to use. Between that or just being a bitchy human noble :relaxed:
Yeah I think the other voice is good if you plan to play a more aggressive character or play a dwarf or Qunari. But generally so far I've preffered to go human's or elves on Inquisition so have been using only the British VA options so far. The American VA's sound more suited to playing more dwarves or Qunari. Which are definitely more aggressive species. I probably will do a Qunari eventually or a dwarf for a laugh just to say I've played as one I think. But generally I think I'd stick with the humans or elves in most playthroughs. I haven't done it so far though. Haven't done any of the elven orgins yet on DAO but I'm doing the human noble for the first time on this run. So far it's been interesting can't wait to kill Howe though later. Murderous SOB. Yeah regards Cullen and the lyrium I know about that made that mistake in my first playthrough and ended up romancing Iron Bull in the end in that one. Still it was a good romance though very funny in places too especially when your advisors come running in on you and him so that kind of made up for it. Managed to get Cullen with my second Inquisitor though which is kind of why I've decided to play it down that path so Cullen gets his girl. Besides he's suffered enough in my opinion. -
yeah female Lavellan's my favourite too especially with the way Alix does the voice. Was going to be another fem lavellan in this one once I get that far. The story seems to make most sense playing as a Lavellan mage. As I'm going for a similar playthrough to what I did in my second run except that this time include the dlc's. Looking forward to giving Cullen his own little elf girl and having her marry him.Wynterdust said:Definitely. Probably going to do another couple of playthroughs with different choices to see how much it changes as well. I want to start another Mass Effect playthrough but I might wait until backwards compatibility to do that which gives me another month or so playing around on DAI. Knowing me though I'll probably just end up doing another playthrough with my FemLavellan as she seems to make the best story.
I'll probably start Origins and 2 again soon as well just to see if there's anything to spot that I didn't notice before playing DAI.

I've got 14 and 15 for XB1 and 15 and 16 for PC -
Wynterdust said:Finally played through all the DLC on Inquisition. I wished the base game had kept the level of quality that had clearly gone into them. Tresspasser was unbelievably good. Left me wanting more but now there's a painful wait until the next game. What got me the most though was the soundtrack in it as well as in the Descent DLC. For me personally, that could be what made them more awesome than a lot of the main game.yeah it was. Personally I feel the whole games a pretty solid package all the way through though which makes me even moer excited for Andromeda next year. At least we know our enemy for the next game is Solas but how it plays out we'll see. Creating a history now for another go playing through Origins again atm as a human noble. As I'm alternating between ME and DA atm.
-
Just played the human noble Origin for the first time in DAO boy that Howe is an ass. That's only gonna make me doubly satisfied to kill him later. -
Agreed I'm kind of glad I don't have this game as the last thing I'd want is my single player being compromised cause somebody wants the gear I have and think they can steal it from me. Especially after working hard to try find the stuff I needed in the first place. Think I'll definitely take my chances and stick with ME and DA. Especially as in my last playthrough of DAI I found a really powerful magic staff for my mage rated about 150 DPS (probably the most powerful staff I think I've seen in the game) I think which after I equipped a rune to it I got up to near 200. Found it while playing the Descent DLC. Don't think I'd have wanted to hand that over to anyone without a fight. Especially as it proved an extremely useful staff for the rest of that playthrough.RevolvingPrawn said:So instead of making FOB's optional in MGS, as they said they were before the game came out (complete lie), Konami have added in-game insurance to make people pay real money so that they don't lose anything from their single player game... Without it, your entire single player progress can be completely destroyed if you don't play the game every single day to protect the online base the game forces you to make.
This is supposed to be a triple A title, not a bloody mobile game.

Hughesy said:Is there a way to make the cursor above the player bigger? It's far too small for me, so I sometimes don't know which player I'm controlling :joy:
Not that I've seen but then I've not had any problems s haven't needed to look -
Hughesy said:Was just looking at pictures I took while my bro and I were getting drunk in Prague in 2009, man I've put on weight since then. Mind you back then I wasn't disabled and could exercise. Funny how a few stone can change how you look so much :joy:
Exact opposite to me then when I was diagnosed as borderline diabetic my weight just started to plummet partly I think because we started being over careful.Fortunately now my weight is stable and now we're just keeping things as they are Because I think at one stage I was 14 stone now I'm around 9 I think. -
Looks like the so called special one is losing his special touch. -
Happy Birthday @Hughesy

It's not that bad really maybe in time she will genuinely follow me like I follow her. Like I said I wouldn't mind it as she seems a genuinely nice person based on her tweets at least.Hughesy said:So she trolled you, that's harsh o:)

Actually I think they signed off again which was why but it wasn't a big celeb it was Alix Wilton Regan the girl who does the voice for Traynor in Mass Effect 3 and the female Inquisitor in DAI as I got an email sayin they were following me. I know it's not a fake account though as I got a signed photo from her and everything so I know it's legit as I've been following it myself for a while. Some celebs do follow their fans though as I know a few that do on there but unfortunately they don't follow me. I'm not the most active person on there anyway. Yeah the Pixie Lott one is just a fansite thing. It said in the email it was a standard this person is now following you on Twitter thing but when I logged in it didn't say anything about her following me anywhere. I waited till the next time she posted as it didn't look like the system had caught up as she hadn't posted since she allegedly clicked that. But since she has now I assume she may have clicked follow by mistake or something and corrected it. I wouldn't have minded it though as she seems a nice enough person who is good at her job.Hughesy said:It's probably a fake account, Twitter is littered with them, they copy the exact account and even use a fake blue tick.
Had a look, the only one I could see is Pixie Lott music, which is just a fan club account. Unless I'm missing something, but I don't see any verified accounts.

Ooh got a celeb following me now on Twitter very nice. My luck is obviously changing. -
Just did my first career style race around Mexico in F1 2015 interesting race hada realy good battle going with the Merc's and Ferrari's pleased to win it in the end though. -
Finished Trespasser for DAI last night. Without spoiling it for those that haven't played it it's a great end to a great story. -
Have to asy I'm enjoying the Trespasser DLC so far it's quite humourous it's a lot llike the Citadel DLC in many ways in that you spend time with your Inquisition colleagues and there's an underlying mission -
Surprised we managed to win I'd have thought if there was going to be a 4-1 scoreline it would have gone the other way. I'll take it I don't know how we did it but I'll take it. At least it'll be worth watching MOTD tonight. -
Iron Bull probably feels like it's his birthday today just killed 2 dragons and will go for number 3 shortly.
I almost feel sorry for the Trespasser Dragon now :p Almost. As I've killed all the 10 main dragons and the Hakkon dragon in my current playthrough. Very shortly it'll be the turn of Corypheus's pet

yeah they've added training features and pre-season tournaments into the career mode. I've not touched any of the career modestuf yet but it's unlikely until I'm done with my Fifa 15 career thoughHughesy said:I love the training sessions you do in FIFA 16 to improve your players, I didn't even know about this feature but I really like it :)

yeah the games a little more of a challenge than before but not overly difficult as I'm finding I have to work harder for my opportunities too. Played a couple of womens matches as well as England. They did well with that tooHughesy said:Hmm I was wrong about it not feeling different to last years, you just need to play more to find the changes. I like how it's not all down to pace now, and being physical is an option. Passing feels better and they seemed to have gimped through balls a bit as they were far to precise before. I love the new player training feature, never knew about it so it was a nice surprise.
Playing at 4K the game is beautiful, the last 2 years I have bought the console version (14 on PS4 and 15 on Xbox One.) I haven't even got the game on one of my SSDs, but it still loads so much quicker than the console versions. No menu lag either unlike in those versions.
I really want to stay up all night and play it, but I'll just have one more game. o:)

yeah didn't take mine long to download looking forward to trying it out. I've hada quick go at the demo on my XB1 when it came out so I know what I'm in for. Looking forward to playing a couple of friendlies on it before going to bed tonight given it unlocks in 6 hours. I only know that because I've got Origin active atm because of DAI.Hughesy said:Finally got my FIFA 16 code, it's only going to take 20-30 minutes to pre load B)

It's possible the quizzy could get a prosthetic arm or a magic arm or something I suppose. But certainly fightimng with one arm would be impossible if they didn't I think unless you happen to0 be a mage as you'd still be able to throw a fireball or 2 but as a rogue/warrior it would be impossible I think. I don't think they've got the green light yet for another DA but I have heard on the forums in discussion threads that they've got 2 more planned they just haven't announced them officially yet. But as I said I think Plan A right now is Andromeda and see where they go from there Once Andromeda's out then they'll likely announce the next DA as they seem to be alternating between Mass Effect and Dragon Age atm. Kind of like me atm as I've got playthrough's on the go on both atm as I finished ME1 about 2/3 days ago and now I'm working through Origins Just managed to get the mages on my side and now I'm starting the hunt for the Urn of Sacred ashes to cure Arl Eamon.
Yeah I actually quite enjoy using the keep too as I've been using it's randomise feature to pick what my next warden and Hawke should be in my playthroughs instead of picking the Origins myself. Mostly to help me give the game and story a bit of randomness for when I play it. It's definitely made playing the games more interesting that way. The only game in which I've played all 3 classes so far is DA2. I haven't played a rogue yet in Origins and I'm still missing a warrior Inquisitor. I do intend to do one of each eventually at least it's just a matter of when.
