  1. Have to admit I'm making better progress than I thought I would as a dwarven noble warrior on DA Origins. I'm kind of missing throwing fireballs around and freezing people on the spot as a mage but it's still fun. I've managed to do the Circle tower and the urn of sacred ashes missions. Still need to recruit the elves and go to my old home town of Orzammar for the dwarves that'll be interesting. I've only been brought down twice so far once in the circle tower the other time in the fight with Zevran who I killed in the end. So I'd consider that a good run so far

So the Eurovisions is basically (Not much has changed) all about voting for your mates. Germany, France and the UK got something like less than 15 points in total...
Indeed but I have to admit we have been sending rather rubbish singers the last few years tbh

  3. I'm not surprised that it's delayed. What I am surprised about is the massive lack of announcement of this fact. I only realised when I read the forum, as there was no official statement about it until a couple of hours after the video.

I'll be honest, the lack of any true gameplay is frustrating me. The teaser trailer might show off the visuals well (even though a couple of shots were bad with the textures), but only proper gameplay shows it off. Screenshots are ok, but it doesn't beat good ole' gameplay.

Why can't F1 2015 have the same sort of publicity treatment as DiRT Rally has got? All the time on Twitter it's new things, so open about everything, but F1 2015 has had virtually nothing. We were hinted that we'd be treated to some dev diaries, and behind the scenes access like never seen before, but that's not happened, yet...

I just hope that we're bombarded with a tonne of new info, gameplay (no, not trailers, actual proper gameplay with the HUD and everything), dev diaries, just as much as possible.

This is meant to be a new direction for the F1 series I believe, but it looks same old to me, there's nothing to suggest it's such a massive improvement.

agreed I'm not surprised it's been delayed but I am surprised it's taking as long as it is to really show us anything and give the publicity to the game that it deserves. I admit I have my doubts about buying it but unless they start showing things that swing me over to their side they'll be lucky if I even pick it up out of the bargain bin.

  4. Have to agree with @Hughesy but some games that are 32bit you can download 64bit installers to get them to work. They don't always work though but some do I have downloaded a few for my Monkey Island games. Haven't played it for a while but that's a fun series of games to play. You'd have to google them up for yourself though as they're kind of dotted all over the place.

  5. Will be interesting to see how Teddy Sheringham gets on next season in his first managerial job. I always thought he'd make a good manager given he was quite an intelligent player. Always put himself in the right spots for maximum effect for goalscoring  Jurgen Kllinsmann was like that as well.

Made some major graphics tweaks for Witcher 3, the grass now looks stunning and huge view distance. Also made it use a lot more VRAM so there's no pop in textures B) I'm only playing at 30fps due to the already unstable framerate, but even with these tweaks it remains locked to 30fps with no frames lost whilst playing at 1440p. Love it when games let us tweak more than what settings allow ingame, it's one of the charms of PC gaming.
Yeah that's what I love about PC gaming as well the ability to tweak games controls exactly how you like them. It's the main reason why I buy the majority of my games for PC.

So after playing The Witcher 3 for many hours I can say it's awesome. People talking about downgrades are silly as its still a beautiful game, and has the nicest forests I've seen in a game. Gameplay is awesome, audio is top notch, framerate isn't the best though. I can get 45fps maxed which isn't bad considering the Nvidia hairworks effects all characters and beasts. Anyone who loves RPGs will enjoy it, the fact I got it cheap from @RevolvingPrawn makes it even better. Can see myself sinking a lot of hours into it :)

yeah looking forward to playing it myself I have it but haven't got round to playing it yet probably will once I'm finished my current DA run. After I've played 1 and 2 as well first as I got all 3 games in one go

  8. Is Steam working for anyone? Says "can not connect to the network for me"?
worked fine for me last night when using it to activate the witcher games . Not played it yet though as I've just started a new DA Origins playthrough as a dwarven noble warrior. Benn interesting so far given I've not really played as a warrior before but I'm hoping now that I've beaten the game as a mage I can beat the game as other classes as well. I've done the Origin opening level now I'm at Ostagar at the start of the main story.

My F1 2015 idea - scrap everything you have and copy Project Cars
Well, no thank you, Formula 1/A cars in pCars are not good... The formula C, B etc is great, but not FA(because of lisense issues...)

But my simple idea of codemasters: Dont hide the game, make a trailer or gameplay....

And just one quastions, did CM really say that Championship mode will be 1 practice session, while the Pro Season Mode or what it was called will have alle 3 practice sessions?
    I believe they did yes

I normally play career mode, but I mean no career mode in F1 2015, so what?... I mean look att career mode in F1 2012-2014, its not career mode, its normal championship mode with youre name and seasons restart on its own, instead of you have to do it. That was the only 2 differants from championship mode and career. After they took away ''live the life'', press interview, teams changes tier etc etc then career mode has allready ben dead. So if they dropp career mode this year and focus on other stuff I don't care...
You still had tobuild a reput6stion and stuff up though in order to get the good contracts which is the general principle of career mode anyway yes they srtipped the other stuff but the basics were always left in.

F1 2014 did not even have that, you could start with what team you want. And after the season you could choose what you want again
Actuslly you do as if you want to keep doing it season after season you have to reset it as I was dropped by McLaren at the end of Season 1 and moved to Sauber for season 2 you can only choose your starting point not whether the team keeps you if you want to do another with them you have to reset career mode to the beginning again.

Ok, maybe I remember little bit wrong, since all I did in F1 2014 was to work on my database mod. And the reason was simple, the career mode was so boring that I rather used time make gameplay better then acctually play the career mode. Everything that was good about, is taken out instead of improve it. Like the press interview etc was a very good idea, but it needed some work so what did they do? remove it. Live the life with the paddock etc was a good idea but still could need some improvement, so what did they do? removed it. And the cars changing tiers each season was a very good idea, since it game the career much more then the same order each season, but they removed it.

So I do believe F1 2015 can be better then 2014, but I can easly wait to F1 2016 with career mode if they then make it PROPERLY...(ofc we dont even know if there will be career mode or anything then, but IF...) So for me career in F12014 was the same as championship mode with youre name and helmet. But ofc, that is MY opinion, so I do understand people are little bit frustrating about no career mode since the way career mode is, it would not be that hard to make it for the new engine too, but I personly don't care as long as the rest of the game is better. So maybe I dont have to spend hours after hours creating a database mod to make the game better for me(and with over 10 000 downloads I guess people agree on that...)

Dont get me wrong, nothing against Codemasters but the last 1-2games have felt so.... lazy copy-paste game...
I do agree with you as I believe we need these features in and working properly and I agree the career mode on the last 2 games have been pretty basic including nothing more but the bare minimum so that it can be classified a career mode. I do agree it is barely a career mode but as you said 2013/14 have both been copy/paste with the exception of the classics

  12. I feel for you guys who play career mode I really do. its the mode where most learn to cut there cloth as they say. last career mode I done on a game was last year, moto gp 14, started on the moto 3 class, custom number on my bike, nickname on my leathers, favourite colours from choices of boots, gloves etc. it was my first go at a moto gp game so I done the full career through moto 2 and finally on to moto gp. it was the only racing game I had at that time for the ps4 and if it wasn't for career it would have got stale pretty quickly.

always buy codies games after xmas, you get them for a reasonable price

yeah I play career mode on all my sports games it's a mode that gets used an awful lot with me I don't have Moto GP14 but I do have the 2013 one and the career mode is quite fun on that as well

I think if we had career mode (e.g being our own driver) we wouldn't be able to have the podiums or be on the grid before the start of the race, soon everyone will forget about it. Being driver for a season will be great fun anyway and it allows for other stuff like podium celebrations, grid and probably some other cool stuff. There are also other different game modes in the game like pro mode. I feel losing career mode isn't that bad.
Yes we would as it's been done before as the F1CE game did it.
Oh really thanks, I hope the lack of career wont be too disappointing as we do get 2014 content aswell

well it will feel pointless really for those that did bother to get 2014 which I did.

Hang on, if there is no career mode then what is there?

Quick race and online? The F1 games have terrible online, they still haven't bothered to support dedicated servers and there is no penalty system or structure to any of  it, online always ends up a mess.

I played for the Career mode, specifically the coop Career mode.... if it is gone then what is the point to the game?

there is a pro mode and championship mode which are basically 1 season modes but that's it. Pro mode is basically a hyped up sim style mode. Championship mode is basically pick a driver and race the season as them.
