    Turning inconsistencies

    Since the last update, I have trouble predicting / feeling how much the car will turn given any steering input, it seems to be very unpredictable and non-linear to me. Which make the game quite a lot less enjoyable to be honest. It may be cause of setup as I run quite low manoeuvrability and no assists. Did you anyone also experienced it and if yes, did you find the issue ?

    Bad drivers

    ARIGOLD (Polish flag) ramed me twice at hungary on purpose. Last ramed ended in the wall and a DNF. Why can't we report people and most importantly why can't we have a functionning collision shield ?

    I also experience this quite a lot and I feel the collision detection box should be expended to avoid hits...
  5. I've noticed at lot more hits from the opponent car since the last two weeks. It seems to happen especially on contact from to my car read end or when I get brake checked by the opponent and then bump into him. A solution would be to extends the collision detection box in the rear / front axis. More generally I feel the collision box is too small and will often get it on the side as well. More over, I've suffer a lot of contact from other cars that got hit by the opponent which then sends me flying in the wall or off track. This is an issue as there is no possible way to react to such events that happens in milliseconds, generally at the first turn. This basically transforms grid start and some sprint start into a coin flip on who will survive turn one the better. A solution would be to ghost the player car when the opponent hit another car within close / medium range. On another subject but still annoying: sprint race at certains tracks create a gap between the two cars that is really unfair. For example, in a sprint race at Sotchi, the player starting behind will be around 0.6 seconds back from its opponent at the start line and suffer a difference in initial speed as well. This is not fair. This also happens at other tracks such as Silverstone

    Halloween Challenge

    I am curious about your PI and setup, because I can't imagine finding around 10 secs in my qualy lap. I also finished it, in the end its a 1.27, 4.34, 4.34 with 62k++ points. Maybe my setup is not right. I used a : 395, 128, 908, 172, 176 setup.

    Halloween Challenge

    A post to gather infos on how to complete this challenge without loosing your mind. Before anything, I play with no assist, and with my 1750 PI setup (personal best atm). For the Austin Event: My 1min and 27.3 seconds qualy lap time only get me 9000 something points (by experience the player usually need a 10000-11000 + qualy lap time pace to achieve the full reward). As far as I can tell, I can barely improve on this time without corner cutting like a mad man where strangely the game doesn't penalize you for it. With that in mind, the challenge seems to require constant "on the edge driving" which seems to trigger some extremely hash corner cutting penalties, which I made me retry the first race of the challenge 7 times already because you need 3 perfect laps to at least get some decents points even if you are 20 or more seconds in front of second place in the race... This is a terrible game experience, I've yet to find anything enjoyable by doing this challenge as the times required either means : - That anything under a 2200 PI setup cannot get the full rewards - The track limits are so inconsistent that they are a joke. But sadly yet again an unfunny one as you really need to push them to get the lap times required to get the full rewards. But any mistake is so harshly punished that you have to begin again. I actually used to like the Austin track very much before the update, but now with the track limits inconsistencies and the over the top slow downs, this track is not fun to drive to at all. Am I the only one in this situation ? Did you guys find some way to complete and enjoy the challenge ?

    Inconsistent track limits

    I'm all for strict track limits but in order for the game to remain enjoyable it must be at least predictable. In recent updates, some tracks have seen their track limits made stricter and I'm glad codemaster did it. But there are a few issues at hand : - The track limits are inconsistent. As per the FIA Formula 1 sporting regulations, article 27.3: At the moment, this sporting regulation is not enforced in the game. Some corners allow the driver to extend the track limit without consequences, some other penalize the driver even when some part of the car is still within the tack limits. This lack of consistency made the game less enjoyable. - Some events best rewards cannot be attained without corner cutting : This is especially true for the 0 PI events and to be blunt, this is bad game design from codemaster's part, nothing less. Best rewards should be attainable without cheating. Instead of artificially increasing the difficulty being lowering the target times to times only attainable with corner cutting, fix the track limits and the difficulty will be raised organically. I've posted this in the technical assistance forum for codemaster's attention. I'm posting it here for general discussion. Which corners and track limits inconsistencies bothered you lately ? For me it is the penultimate corner at Austin which, with the right line, could be flat out without extending the track limit before and is overly strict now.
