I'm confused and frustrated having built a i5-10400 CPU with a RTX 2060 Super video card that lags and/or tears in places in Dirt Rally 2.0 like the town in Spain or Portugal RX track. I have tried all the fixes for low FPS or shutters here and every other thing I could find on the internet. The game ran smooth on my old i5-3570 box with a RTX 2060 card. I even put the RTX 2060 card into the new computer with no luck. Doesn't seem to matter what I do for levels I set other than Crowd and Material that I have set to LOW. I've tried about everything I can in Nvidia control panel with again no real help. I've played around with disabling USB devices though it's not random it's just places like that amphitheater in Whales through the water splash and chuck chuck chuck till you get through the next water splash. It's not a weather thing either because rain is the same as sun. I'm completely lost as all the games like AMS2 that was chunking on the much slower CPU is now smooth as can be. Is there some magical Windows 10 thing killing me and I did shut off the Games junk but to me that just looks like one OFF button. I do set V-Sync off but Adaptive in NVidia's control panel that really helped on the old computer so no input lag and the game ran smooth. Oh yea as one person said at the end of the post for FPS loss if I move from the cockpit to roof cam even Portugal seems much smoother but I can drive from the roof I'm afraid I will fall off! Going back inside the car I can set Vehicle Detail from Low to Ultra no change same spots, chunk chunk. Any ideas I hate to go back to the 8 year old box because it runs this game so much better.
