Did my run through Argentina. Actually went better than expected, had some mishaps as usual thanks to the rocks n stuff. But I only had a shattered Windscreen temporarily. And I think this is my first Argentina without any steaming radiator XD Am alone on the board now... so lets wait how far the cautious approach gets me. Made a little video of Stage 7 to maybe advertise some more League members via Youtube:

Here are the standings after NZ: Good luck everyone for tough Argentina!

Seems like almost no-one is using the C4. Actually a lot of 01's on the Board right now. My run went semi-smooth. Kept it quite clean through the night, but then lost about 50+ sec on stage 6, all due to those nice rock hard roadside edges. To my utter surprise it seems like @kildog had the same problems during stage 6 and I even gained 3 secs on him, making the difference to first only 4 secs. So i decided to throw caution out the window: Dropped the spare tyre, and had to made some cuts in repairs to fit in enough stuff. Many many quick fixes to get Turbo and Radiator back up. Looking at my mechanic who selected to fix the lights... "The sun is shining, I don't need lights, leave them broken and fix the girbox instead " Pushed hard on last stage and yay ! Leading now with 8 secs ahead. (Although thinking about stage 6, that might not last until the end...) It was a really nice fight. Also discovered that 3 stages in NZ will wear out medium tires completely, which I found nice as it encourages some tire choices. P.S. The points are all at 0 currently, so it seems CM fixed the website and we hopefully get proper point calculation this season. Together with proper damage and proper setup and selected wheels being saved between stages now. EDIT: NZ will end tomorrow noon, so to any newcomers: Now is still time to jump into this League/Club and drive the whole season. This is the first of 11 rallies.

Did the team so far respond in any way about a possible weather update in the future? Like sprinkling in one or two more conditions for a select few locations (...looking especially at Wales here, it needs more forest-mood)

I think the tires by now work absolutely fine imho. What is the issue is the abundance of service stops in all of the automated and official events. In our League, driving mainly long stages and at least 3 in a row, mediums are much more viable much more often. In real WRC you have 4-5 long stages between Services (ca. 60km) and hard tires would be much more viable more often then. https://www.rallyekarte.de/Rally-Finland-2019 So instead of Tire system changes I would much rather rally for a System structure change of automated events. (Which also would leave the AI system just fine). Sprinkle in more 4 stage or 5 stage stretches between service parks in the MyTeam area and in Weekly and Monthly events and voila, you need more of the tyre choice

I've aquired a driving style which very rarely lets me "getting lost" where the paddles are, even with largen real DoR. What I do is, whenever I turn, the left hand doesn't leave its spot, more specifically the thumb of the left hand doesnt leave its spot on the wheel. The other hand grabs around (and shifts and handbrakes). The left always stays with the rotation until it is back straight. This way your head intuitively learns where the paddles must be in relation to your hand position. I sometimes shift in the middle of a hairpin, with the paddles being completely flipped in position. But I have to barely think about it. My head just feels like "Oh my hand is over to right now, so for downshift I have to pull the paddle on the right" Or more accurately "For downshift I pull paddle at the location of my left hands position." (Sometimes it''s also the right hand moving with the wheel. Point is, I always have one of my hands at the neutral 9-3 points of the wheel to intuitively know how it stands, without looking at it.) Since I happen to have a channel, I can even show some moving pictures of what im talkin bout:

The Season is Set Up. It will start Midnight on Wednesday, as before 3 days 12 hours each. Neatly comes to an end around a week before Finlands release. Class: 2000's 11 Rallies, Calendar: Northbound First Conditions: Dusk, Heavy Rain (NZ doesn't have Night/ Heavy Rain) Twist: To try out a 4-stage-stretch, to make Tire choice more relevant, I selected 3 Rallies as test subjects. These will have different Service Park structure: Australia: 4/3 Greece: 3/4 Poland: 2/4/1 The rest follows the standard 3/3/1 structure. Cockpit cam is enforced as the Poll clearly shows right now. Hardcore damage is activated. Good Luck to Everyone! Am eager to see, how I can keep up with the '01 Impreza against the younger WRCs. In DR1 the C4 was slightly dominant, let's see if the 01's have more equal chances here. EDIT: And remember, no car changing in the Season. Only one car allowed. If I see anyone with the 206 Peugeot in Sweden it will result in a DNQ.

It just now appeared to me: WHY does the High-Beam Lightbar on the Polo R5 look different ingame than on the actual cover of the game? I like the slim LED bar, but ingame it has the same big bulb bar as the Fabia R5. Anyone noticed that?

Did a semi-clean run, but am uncomfortable with the FWD H2. Came in around Pos 200-ish. Over 20 secs behind the Leader... damn this is some tough competition. I guess I shouldn't hope to qualify anything anytime soon. But maybe I set myself onto the goal of getting into the Top 100 in one of the qualifiers. That would satisfy me much 🙂

I honestly don't know. It's open for everyone, so just sign up via the Website and see if it becomes selectable in the console version. I would assume it should work though.

That's not possible. As soon as a Season is started, it can no longer be edited. So this next Season will still be without Finland. Just letting you know, in case u want to change the choice. Otherwise I would be quite eager to try a Northbound Season. BTW, my Reasoning for the Calendars: World Rally: Aligned quite close to the 2015 WRC calendar. Northbound: Going from lowest Latitude Location, to the highest. Frostbite: A Final in the Snow. The Rest just like I felt, to bring some classic location into unusal points in the Season- Rising Sun: From most west to most east. Shifted Year: Imagining a WRC, if Seasons would start and end in the Summer.

Results for the Second DRC Season. And I am back from vacation. So congrats to @kildog for the victory. You can pick the Class for the next Season. (I'd be eager for 2000's, personally, but I'm an AWD fetishist anyway) @Janneman60 You can pick the next Calendar as depicted in the OP @UnderclassGDfan You can pick the conditions for the starting stage. Next Season will start in roughly a week. By the way, what would everybody think of trying some events with different service park structure? I feel with the tyre system, we really should put in some 4-stage stretches, so that hard tires even become a slight thought sometimes. Currently it is mostly soft and maybe sometimes medium for very long stages, isnt it? EDIT: Updated Calendars, including GRE and FIN

Greece Rally – Available Now in DiRT Rally 2.0

Reserving a place for my First Look Video. Will record it once I am back home from vacation. Excited to try out the rain, too. EDIT: -
Kitcar 306 M2 BMW Seat ibiza kitcar (sik) ...But what is the 20b.nefs??? was that there already and is it used? The 99 Impreza maybe? Also, did anyone notice recently when @PJTierney listed the dates for the seasons. He stated the ending of Season 4 is "TBA". That suggests there might be another Tile missing on that Overview shot, by Logic it should be a location. So is it another RX or a new Rally? Theme of Season would suggest RX, but maybe maybe there is still hope for Mexico ?

So the 'Rally Dakar' (A Rally Raid) was never even a Rally in your mind, despite being labeled as Rally. So DR2 has made the same mistake as the Rally Dakar in being deceptive to what is offered. Think about all those poor souls, going to watch Rally Dakar. They expected the trucks would go on forest roads and not cross country with nor regards for roads. Also those trucks were nowhere close to a proper homologated Rally car they knew from History. they all went home very sad, cause that wasnt the thing the 'Rally Dakar' sign promised to them.

The board is completely broken now: Spain didn't count for anyone still. Monte seemed to count up fine, but it should be 0 for me, since I didn't participate. It only updated for those, who took part. Notice how it shows 4 points for me and @UnderclassGDfan, that is impossible. This now is a serious Clubs Bug, @PJTierney please relay it to the team. On another note, I missed the last one and will actually miss the rest of this season, due to being on vacation very soon. Looking forward to the next Season, when Greece will be here.

I think by now it is more like an open business question. They are probably developing new content already, maybe with more people again after F1 release. But the decision if it will be for a new game or DLC is probably not made yet and dependent on wether they can earn enough money through DLC selling compared to the Alternative. So nothing will be confirmed at this point, since they aren't sure yet if the investment into more DLC would be a net gain. I am all for it though! Pump DR2 up to a truly magnificent sim. And I honestly don't know what features I would want from a new game, apart from more content and maybe even longer stages (but 16km is already at low WRC-levels, so it's less of a priority). And for just content, you could bring it to DR2 as long as the sales pay for themselves. -------------------- Different thing: I produced a video with the Evo X, never used it before much. Noticed it is automatically set to sequential shift by the game. I was confused, but in the replay in the cockpit you also see only two pedals and the foot never presses a clutch. I always assumed the NR4 class is H-Shifted. What kind of transmission does the Evo have? ---------------------- I also noticed that in NZ, all the bigger puddles actually have animations and sound, when you drive through them. Wasn't there an argument, why this isn't the case in Wales? Wales really should receive a Weather Update. ---------------------- Judging by the "Year ONE" wording. it really sounds like a strong suggestion, that Seasons are intended to continue, as long as they are viable business. And I really hope the 99 or 97 Impreza is coming somewhere... It would give a proper partner for the Evo VI, now that we are not getting a 'millenial' class. By the way, I noticed the new Pug actually looks good. How long do you think for an R5 to arrive? Maybe an idea for Year Two?

The Standings on th website don't include the results from Spain, the numbers dont match up... Hope this is a fluke and fixed after Monte, but otherwise, i'm not sure how to track it all apart from calculating it all by hand....
