  1. DRC - DiRT Rally Championship https://www.dirtrally2.com/clubs/club/39043 Open for everybody, so everybody who feels like participating can do so, no matter how active you are in the forum, and you will not be kicked if you might be inactive for some weeks (As long as you're not cheating of course). If you have ambitions for winning regular participation might be helpful though. On to the rules: Every DRC-Season will consist of all Rally locations, including DLC. One Season has to be completed with the same car! Every event (rally) will last for 3 days and 12 hours. (Making two events fill exactly one week) Each Rally will consist of 7 Stages The first 6 Stages will only consist of the 4 long stages (2 will be repeated). SS1 ,SS4 and SS7 will have Service Parks. SS 7 will be a short stage. Restarts are disabled, Alt-F4-ing is prohibited and will be punished if discovered. Having a Service Park 3 stages apart highly encourages less risky driving (as real world), as you have to cover 30-40km of stage between services. The Reward for a Championship is as follows: 1st: Is eligible to pick the Vehicle Class for the next Season. 2nd: Can pick one of five Season Structures from this Overview: 3rd: Can select which Rally needs to be excluded next season. Only 12 can be put into a championship, but 13 are in game. 4th: May pick the Safari-Rally (Service Park structure of 2/5. Five stages to be conquered in one go) 5th: May forecast the Weather-Rally (Pick one location and cherry-pick the weather options to your liking. Night has to be less than 50% though) <spoiler> ---SUSPENDED until further notice----- The DiRT Legendary Trophy https://www.dirtgame.com/leagues/league/34459/drc---legendary The DiRT Legendary Trophy, powered by the DRC. It is a seperate competition and fully independent from the DRC standings. It consists of 24 stages with over 270km of road and covers all countries available. It only has 2 Service Parks , one after the first quarter and one at the half way-point (after 12 stages). Saving your car and driving more catiously is the key here. "To finish first, you first have to finish" is what you shall have in mind. Car choice is completely free for everone here. Everybody, who finished the Legendary Trophy (read as: Not retired) is allowed to wear one of these Badges in their signature: ---------------------------- Anybody seen with such a badge, who didn't earn it will be kicked from this league without further notice! ---SUSPENDED until further notice----- </spoiler> Cheers, SkyRex
  2. The League is setup and starts on wednesday midnight, good luck everyone. In case for the future, if I take to long to notice and setup another league, I want to remind you that @baunau and @Dytut are also Admins of the legaue and I've just promoted @UnderclassGDfan to admin as well, as you are a very reliable regular participant. So any of you three can also feel free to setup a new championship for the DRC whenever the opportunity arises.
  3. The Safari Rally and the Weather picks are still missing.
  4. Community Rally School #Now also for DR2 Every day there are new threads made for simple questions, for complaints about the game being to hard, for setup requests........ For all of this, simply go here and ask what you want to know. Will keep the forum more organized and also helps other people with the same questions to find the answers faster. This is especially for all the fresh new console players. No elitism bashing here, I own a PS4 myself and know the reasons people have consoles over PCs. And since DR is the same on all platforms this distinguishment shouldn't be made at all in this forum IMO. The Community can give qualitative answers to almost anything: Some say DR is to hard, but for different reasons. There are some that find the effort to achieve something tedious and no fun. People that come home after a stressful day at work and just want to relax and have some nice entertainment in the form of games. Emphasis is here on relax and entertain, which means you don't want to be stressfully challenged or put hundreds of hours into something to get a small sense of nice entertainment. Which is fine, this opinions are totally understandable. But I'm afraid to tell you, that Dirt Rally wasn't aimed at you then. It's like Dark Souls or Kerbal Space Program or Assetto Corsa, all these games demand a lot from their players, be it skill and practise or lots of time learning basic things. For nice evening entertainment look more at Dirt Showdown, Dirt 3, NFS 2015, Just Cause 3, CoD/BF/ etc. Then there are those who generally like this type of game but still find it crazy hard, because they think they should be way faster the way they drive. Maybe they are also new to Rallying. Ask whatever you want about driving techniques, setups, pace notes. game mechanics etc. and the community will answer it for you. Some FAQ: Too slow? - Be aware that you need to upgrade your car in career mode. The AI always has fully upgraded cars, so don't wonder if you're slow if your car isn't yet fully upgraded Not First? - Winning is not the goal. The Podium is (Career). You will proceed to the next class as long as you finish in the top 3 ranks of a championship. Handling weird, Forza drives different? - You are driving offroad, which requires new learning of how a car behaves compared to tarmac. How do upgrades work? - Stage distance driven with a particular car multiplied by your mechanic bonuses. How do you drive stage X ? - Say which parts of certain stages you find difficult and we will guide you the fastest and the most reliable ways through it. Setup? - We can give you advice on setting up your car and you find complete setups in the workshop. Be aware that setups are no 'Nitrous'! They highly depend on the driving style, which means what works for one can feel horrible to the next person. #Be polite and focused. No: "PC's best!" No :"Game is to damn hard!" No: "Nobody can be faster than me, all the others have to be cheatin' " #Ask what you don't know yet and answer what you know for sure. Cheers
  5. Congrats to those at the Top, I will try to setup the next season as soon as all choices are in and the server is back online on the weekend. Again I will probably not participate much, as time is tight right now and soon Cyberpunk will need attention. So far I have seen: - World Rally for Calendar (based on the 2020 WRC calendar, which never drove to completion ^^ ) - Poland excluded - Group B 4WD, with Gentleman's-agreement to not pick the Pug or Lancia.

    Version 1.16 Update Discussion

I am a bit late to the whole patch this time, but here we go for those, who still wanna see the new car:
  7. Listen up, all choices have been made next Championship is ready and fueled up! It starts at Midnight today, good luck everyone, happy rallying!

DiRTy Gossip about DIRT Rally Games

The usual treat, didn't actually expect this update today amidst the FS2020 Launch ^^
  9. Congrats to all of u and the first five are eligible to the usual choices. Once made, I will assemble another Season. Though I have to say, I will probably again not participate as in a few days I'm gonna be quite occupied with the new FS2020-
  10. The next Season has been set up. Launch: Tonight at 00:00! H2 RWD Shifted Year Finland dropped Australia as Safari No special Weather. Good Luck everyone!
  11. Here are the results of this season: Congrats to @UnderclassGDfan for 1st, @Dytut for 2nd @Freddygore 3rd @Snoopy43 4th and @baunau 5th All of you are now eligible for the established choices, from 1st to 5th. I'd say you have until the end of Monday, I'll setup next Season on Tuesday for a Midnight launch in a week from now on Wednesday. P.S. Sorry for not much competing from myself this season, got other things in my life going on and DR2 is currently not amongst the priorities.
  12. As there is no section like this yet, I thought to start a new. I assume that many here are also interested in offroad-stuff beyond the pure rallying and might appreciate a place to talk about it. For a start, I wanna share a little guide for fording through rivers, especially those that are not in rallies and don't have a convenient concrete floor:
  13. This might help, if you need data to decide:
  14. So fellas here we go: NEXT SEASON COMING UP Starting at Midnight! Calendar: Frostbite Vehicles: 2000cc Dropout: Germany Safari: Sweden Special Weather: Wettest Wales Two choices remained void until now, so I filled in those. Aaand I already have to admit that I will not accept the Gearbux change for the S4 and I will drive it in sequential mode. I imagine it's a late '98 S4, so it's arguably accurate. Good Luck everyone!
  15. A'ight. The Name means, that the locations climate gets ever colder the further down the calendar we go.
  16. Congrats to Yabby and thanks to everyone participating. Since the league has gained a larger lineup now, I felt appropriate to enlarge the price-area. Now the first 5 (FIVE) people will be counted as podium and get choice for the next season. @yabby You may pick the vehicle class for the next season @Janneman60 You may pick the calendar @baunau You may pick the Dropout-Rally (The one to skip) @UnderclassGDfan You may pick the Safari-Rally (Service Park structure of 2/5. Five stages to be conquered in one go) @Dytut You may forecast the Weather-Rally (Pick one location and cherry-pick the weather options to your liking. Night has to be less than 50% though) @all If Yabby or anyone else for that matter doesn't deliver their vote here via these forums and not until Tuesday evening, their vote will be void and it befalls to me to pick. (I might go by what other opinions I read on here though. ) This can be fully expected, as the Club-Page clearly links to this thread and tells everyone to read the rules here. If Yabby really doesn't vote, my pick for vehicle class would go to the 2000cc, as they are very balanced overall and offer a lot of choice for everyone. Also I wanna drive that S4...
