Like few different general for gravel and tarmac.
I think I like more your setup style than from guy who share his setups at Youtube.I would always recommend to learn to do the setup, than to copy an existing one. In some of my videos you see setups for cars, but that might still change slightly depending on the car for me. You might use them as a starting point, but dont shy away from experimenting to adjust them to your driving style.
For general Tarmac Knowledge:And for a general Gravel Knowledge:

Now that we have all the content, the classes are filled up and I finally made a Comparison of the Group A class. As expected the Legacy is not among the fastest, but it is not the slowest either at least.

To be honest it sounds like a bug on your end.
Normally a game-loop inside the software runs the simulation and the rendering in succesion. At some point, if the rendering doesn't run, the simulation will stop as well. So if your game runs fine in the background and only the picture freezes, it sounds like an issue between the executable and the screen, and not inside the executable.
Try a different screen, if it freezes there as well.
Try a different cable or even cable type. I sometimes experience a short blackout on my HDMI cable, but I know it is the cable, cause it doesn't happen on the Displayport to my desk monitor.
Try a different exit port, if you have more than one available on your GPU.
Actually, that's where I suspect the issue, somewhere with the GPU. Cause once software sends rendering commands to the GPU, it is fire&forget. It doesn't know, if the picture actually got rendered to the screen and just happily calculates along as if nothing was wrong. If you can, try a different GPU. -
So, here's my ususal first look coverage for all those still busy or still downloading and eager for more Scotland Driving. Even made two Vids this time:

Well the S4 had both actually during its season. Could just as well be a bug in showing that it is H-Pattern Manual.
I welcome it, if it has Sequential in auto-select, as that is what I would use anyway in the 2000's class. Just assuming it is a late S4 and not an early, which makes it being in line with the rest of the class.
just a shame you can't compete it against the EvoVI-

So, I have edited the OP, changed the reward for 3rd place and inserted the new calendars like here:
In the World Rally Option, Scotland will now serve as the stand-in for Chile.
Also, all choices have been made for the next season and I will get to setting the Season up soon. If I can manage it until then, I'll set the start to be right at coming midnight. Otherwise Saturday Noon.
NEXT SEASON UPCOMING:
Class: Group A
Calendar: Northbound
Excluded Rally:
FinlandEDIT: ALL HAS BEEN SET UP. IT BEGINS AT MIDNIGHT !

So has any opinion changed now that weve seen some of the new Location in the Video series?
visually it does look a lot like wales, but technically it seems to be quite unique.
if the Status quo stays the same, the 3rd place will get to pick the dropout rally in the future. Although id like to enforce, that only dlc Locations can be kicked.

Made a poll.
Had to remove the old one, Cockpit view is definitely enforced now going forward. -

If so: The most logic one would be Wales i think, because they are probably pretty similar, but I love woods and gravel...
My vote goes to kicking out Spain, because it's my least favourite.
I could also say Germany, but it's my home rally, so yeah...
It's bad enough not having a F1 GP this year again, don't take my rally away! 😟I make my choice, when the calendar and car class is chosen.
We probably get most entries in the championship, if one of the two new cars are available, just saying.
Personally I would prefer Rally GT or Group B RWD, because H3 RWD last time really got me into RWD rallying.Just another idea: Maybe we should try a new rule by excluding cars from the class we choose and hope everybody will except that.
So maybe 2000cc, but C4 Rally and 07' Focus Rally are not allowed?
Or similar choices in other classes with OP cars.Yes, it's 2am here and I cannot sleep and I am bored 😅
Yeah I read about the 12 Rally Limit as well...
Even though it is also my home rally as well, I would actually vote to kick out Germany. It's my least favorite to drive. I like the real event, but more for the vineyard sections, Panzerplatte is quite uninspiring to drive and to look at imho.
In any case, I'd say the 6 new DR2 locations are safely in (including Spain), because they have the greatest visuals. Puddles mirror and sprinkle, many daylight and weather options and so on. Not so for the 6 DLC ones, some lack in visual finesse like the puddles, some in weather.Going through them by what they add in variety:
Monte Carlo: pretty nicely remastered with those Ice patches and clearer visuals. Guess nobody would question keeping it.
Sweden: Only snow event. Therefor safe in my book as well.
Wales: Nice driving, excellent new wet physics and mud. But lacking visuals (puddles) and variety in weather.
Finland: Only one of it's kind, with highway-wide roads and gazillion jumps. And much better flight physics than DR1. Though some fog in clear weather. And I'm no good in driving it.
Greece: Technical Gravel with narrow roads and tight sections as well as fast ones. Middle Ground between Argentina and Australia.
Germany: dusty tarmac and concrete. Straights into edges into straights again. Hinkelsteins are main challenge, overall quite easy. I'd kick it out.I'd say the vote is in the last 4. Anyone with an opinion please voice it.
P.S. The calendar has already been picked by @Janneman60 to be "Northbound", just so everybody knows. -
Congrats to all,
@ApexAzimuth @Janneman60 @UnderclassGDfan make your choices, congrats for the podium.
Judging by the date, I'm inclined to say we hold the League until the FlatOut Pack comes out, with two new Subarus and one new Location available. So make your choices as if that DLC is included. You've got time until release day.-

I know your spotter says to do so in Rallycross, but I've never really been certain if it actually does anything for your initial launch or overall time in Rally stages. I assume that it has more of an effect on cars with a turbo, but even then I can't tell if it does anything significant. Also, should you keep the revs up when in the air after a jump? Other than keeping the turbo engaged, I don't really know if it's a good thing for the wheels to be spinning when you land or not
TL;DR: Yes and Yes.
1. Revs up on launch not only preloads your Turbo, but any engine delivers different torque at different revs and you want to launch with maximum torque. Now most times the rev of max-torque is also close to max-rev, so maximum revs are definitely better than idle rev. But even better would be the max torque rev for that car. Which is most times around 80% rev. (Or where the green shifitng lights in cockpit go on)
2. For Turbo pressure yes, For World Record Runs as well. To keep maximum control I sometimes lift during a jump, so the wheels touch down with a speed closer to what they shall have anyway. If you touch down with full spinning, you have little grip in the moment of touchdown, which especially if you land a corner-jump or land sideways, can be problematic. Though you will lose some Turbo pressure.
Just always make sure that you have full throttle at the split second point of liftoff! As explained here:-

Did some comparison on the Grp B, now that we are sure no more additions are joining:

That's a big range still though. From 16km (Argentina) all the way to 30km (Poland)

So, I can't deny that I expected more, like a new Season. But I can't say I'm unhappy either. The S4 and a new challenging Rally location? Hell yeah bring it on!
Though saying "final boss" for Scotlands difficulty is a bold claim in a game which has El Condor. I hope you're not over exagerating.
Since it is not a WRC location, can you say which real-world stages have been used for the two long stages in the game? Drummond Hill (13km) and Craigvinean (16,5km) ?Anyhow, just two cars coming and this being the final content for the game, might I propose a compromise solution for the classes? @PJTierney
How about you add TWO identical S4 cars, one in 2000's and one in Group A, While also duplicating the Evo VI and placing the duplicate in 2000's ? This would prevent the need for a leaderboard reset, as only new entries come into classes. But it would allow the millenial fights of the iconic cars. (S4 vs. Focus/ Evo vs. Focus/ Evo vs S7/ 206 vs S4)Then only the option for selective ban of cars in clubs would be needed to recreate certain years.

@PJTierney Already a suggestion: IF there really is some Scotland Rally coming, please please please add some light rain or showers as well and not only dry & heavy rain as in most of the DLC Locations. Especially Wales still feels dissappointing in that it either is always dry or drying or it's pouring from the sky. Scotland would be a location with even more rain than Wales and therefor also more probability to encounter different shades of rain from showers to pouring.

Since after the last update I've read some complaints about argentina here again, this might be useful for some:

There was a long running poll about it. Forcing it won by about two thirds against one third. So the majority of drivers here, me included, appreciate it to level the playing field. Everyone's to judge the cars movement with the same limitations of the bodywork being in the way
