  1. Decimal depends on how you read them. Taking those Byte as unsigned 8-Bit Integers would yield: "83 50 49 48 48 48 48 50 52"
Not that it looks any helpful.

I rather suspect there is further encoding to be done with the ASCII decoded numbers.

  2. http://tech-racingcars.wikidot.com/subaru-impreza-gc8-wrc97

    That Page lists " Prodrive 6 speed semi-automatic gearbox with pneumatic paddle-shift or conventional H-pattern " for the S3, S4, S6 and S5.
The Evo Vi lists " 5 speed manual gearbox, or 6 speed sequential gearbox INVECS type shift. Click here for Holinger manual ", where they have clearly decided for the sequential. I hope we will get a sequential Subaru for competition as well. Does anyone know, which actual cars in WRC used which transmission?

I am still wondering which one we'll end up with, and more importantly how classed?
Technically it would go into Group A, but the Legacy would go there too. Which would leave it mostly behind from the get go.
I'm all for a class split or a Multiclassing of cars, both of which would probably require a leaderboard wipe, which makes it less likely (sadly).

Imagine a Rally Season with the Group A, minus the Evo, plus the Legacy.
Or one with the '01 Focus, '00 Impreza and '99 Evo.
Or one with the Delta Integrale, '99 Evo and '99 Impreza.

@PJTierney Is Multiclass support for clubs still on some wishlist in the studio? Or has it been confirmed as not happening?

P.S. Since 1.12 is still not Live, my usual Video will have to wait until after work tomorrow.

EDIT: so the '99 Impreza was definitely paddle-shifed:

Could I see some screenshots or gameplay footage of your game then? To show that you have no visibility problems. The kind of screenshots that show long straights and open areas, not the selective short-distance screenshots. You could also take a screenshot from this same spot and share so we can compare. Kailajärvi, daytime/overcast, a short distance from start after a left corner. Let's see how clear your game is.

Of course if you want to explain which settings to change I'm all ears.

This gap you see there, where there are no trees visible in the fog, with the sky above it and no bushes on the ground, that is the road. Just drive towards that?

@exerfit can pick the conditions of the first stage, also securing a podium position.

Next season will start. once everyone is sober again and the choices have been made.

To me it takes away a huge part of the racing at an emotional level. We all grew up with the noise of the engines and we all know automatically without even thinking a second the noise we have just heard must come from a powerful car. It is just my personal humble opinion but a fast and powerful car HAS to make also a powerful noise 🙂

Call me nostalgic, call me old but come on guys VROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM 🙂

Apart from this 600 hp and instant 1100Nm is insanely cool .. just add the noise and I am happy !

One more thing about normal electric cars not racing ones. They are extremely dangerous because not making noise pedestrians or bikers cannot hear the noise of the car arriving.

I have experienced that myself with a freaking hipster and his bs useless electric Pegperego Tesla. I did not hear it coming I almost crashed into it. Electric cars MUST make noise like a normal fossil fuel powered engine otherwise nobody can hear it coming and it is VERY dangerous.

I recently visited Norway and let me tell you, electric vehicles make the same noise as any other car as soon as they are driving 50 kph and above. There the noise is all coming from the tires. Noticed many Teslas in Oslo and Bergen and when they passed it was just as loud as the others. Only time EV's seem to be truly silent is at walking pace or on turtle paced tiny roads.

  6. Well that was frustrating... I was actually defending 3rd position, when I did a terminal crash on the night stage. Hitting a Bridge Wall with 175kmh is quite severe it turns out...

Though I did pull a very fast Hamra stage with 5:51:something, but still losing ground to @MongoJon [VR] at that stage... I think the champion will be easy to predict if he continues to drive every rally.

So now it turn for the worst rally in this game... I think I will just skip it to save my nerves 😉

What are you talking about, Finland is already over?

Seriously Sweden is one of my favorites to drive, especially in DR2 with better physics and more white snow and less dirt. Together with France I think it's the best remastered DR1 rally. If I'd have to rank all Rallies, in terms of enjoying to drive them, this would be:

    1. AUS, NZL

    2. SWE, POL

    3. GRE

    4. FRA, USA, ARG

    5. GER, ESP, WLS, FIN

Imho you need to consider at least 2 setups for each rally/track...for example I save 2 different gear ratio setup for each location,or different car behavior like more neutral or oversteer/more aggressive or soft differential setup depends on each stage

and for the Rallycross setups...tracks are now 12....(you can’t even save one setup for each track if you want to cover them all)

For Rally I would be curious to know, what are your setup differences between for example Poland and USA ?
