    I have to protest here.

There is at least one driver, who competes regularly but changes his car pretty much in every rally.

    Just saying...rules are rules.

The sporting committee acknowledges the protest and has started investigation.

I would like to Kick Steam Name "Sander Moks", but don't know the corresponding forum username yet... He displays a complete disregard for the one car rule and has been using several different vehicles. @RFSander

    @virginijus.m (Steam name) @virgism
Last and only Warning. You started with the Impreza '01. You have to take the Impreza '01 back in USA and for the rest of the season, otherwise this will result in disqualification.

@PJTierney Feature request: Somehow being able to see which Racenet-Name (Chapionships and Website) belongs to which Platform-Name (Leaderboards and Stage Results) and vice versa. Currently there is no way of correlating one to the other, especially if it isn't obvious by naming itself.

EDIT: Figured out the names by aligning the points from the Championship standing with the actual stage result positions

EDIT2: USA went meh overall. Too many mistakes and no proper rythm... After Poland now this... Seems my Subarus Fast-Setup needs a lot more refinement.

  2. Current Standings:

Spain & Deutschland went reasonably smooth, both with a podium finish. Poland was total disaster with a terminal crash in stage 4, ramming into a wooden pole...

Now France went actually surprisingly smooth. If it will be enough to catch anything up, or even be good at all, I'll have to see, leaderboard is still pretty empty there.

Why it slows me down and push to random slide in New England? It's possible it's not in DLC tracks because I don't play the game for long.

    It doesn't push randomly.
It very much enhances ANY inertia your car has when going in. Even the slightest turn motion can push you strongly to the side and that is absolutely realistic. I mention that in my Wales guide, where in it's ford it's most difficult, as you are entering from a turn and existing into a turn, but you want to cross a ford in as much a straight motion as possible, to prevent exactly those slides.

  4. The difference is actually in the locations.

The 6 new locations all have water sounds & effects, EVEN for small puddles in rain/wet conditions.

The 6 DLC (well 5 so far) locations lack this. There is no effect and no splash sound for the small puddles.

I suspect it has to do with them requiring manual placement of triggers etc.etc... which is a lot of work I guess. But I don't like this noticeable drop in immersion detail between the different rallies.

  5. It was a good day for driving.
First I experimented with setups for my next Guide Video. Realized how close I came and after some more dedicated tries, I achieved this nice feat:

After that, thinking I had a great form today, I started the DRC Greece Event. It went reasonably well, much better than Straya for sure. I had two resets and two rolls though, all minor damage, but it cost some time. And sure enough @Janneman60 already surpassed my time. But the Impreza felt very in control and a nice drive, definitely becoming my favorite in the 2000cc again.

Ah and here's the standing after Straya:

It is believed that Codemasters recorded audio from this very car earlier in the year...

...fingers, legs, arms, everything crossed it is coming soon!

If it really comes sometime into this game (n not just to the next DiRT title in 2 years or so), then I'd ask for someone more knowledgable to enlighten me:
    http://tech-racingcars.wikidot.com/subaru-impreza-gc8-wrc97
According to that site, the transmission is either H- or Paddle-Shift. Which years/models did what? I've seen it's an H-Shifter in the video. But I also am looking forward to driving it sequential as it would counteract the Evo VI nicely. But if that is unrealistic, I'd stick to H, as I like to drive as a real car was also driven in the day.
So, did the S3-S5 Impreza have some H and some paddle versions and if so, which ones?

  7. The standings after Argentina:
    image.thumb.png.042fb0195670ea1107b3ec1a8b9f84b0.png

    Australia was... disappointing.
Got a flat tire at stage 2. Tried to change it, could've sworn I brought a spare... but seemingly I didn't. So I had to crawl through stage 3 AND 4 with one wheel on a rim, lost around 6 Minutes with all that.
Even more infuriating is the fact, that after the service, I found my rythm and pulled Top 5 times every stage. Overall could've been much better if it weren't for that flat.
Although, if I think about it, I'm actually quite happy I still managed to be in the midfield despite it all.

  8. I dunno why you are so after that. It's a rally simulator, there is no story to unfold, no cutscenes, no unlocks. Higher class just means higher difficulty.
And since it is a skill based game, the way to go forward is to get better in driving. That is the whole point, the whole essence of the MyTeam area. There is (apart from the money spending) zero difference to freeplay or historic mode. So, lowering the difficulty for a class is just almost exactly the same experience as one class below it.
Maybe I don't see the point (please explain if there is something I overlook), but for me, getting better in my driving abilities was actually the whole motivation to progress in MyTeam. I mean, where is the motivation to fight for podium positions, if I could just lower the difficulty and win every time?

    Maybe this might also help:

I see all these complaints about Greece, whilst I'm just happy that they changed the stupid tight "Right 4" with a rock face on the inside and a post on the outside to a "Right 3" 😛

Those are the small changes I appreciate too. There is also this former left 4 in Monte Carlo which they changed to Left 2 slippery.

  10. Did my run through Argentina. Actually went better than expected, had some mishaps as usual thanks to the rocks n stuff. But I only had a shattered Windscreen temporarily. And I think this is my first Argentina without any steaming radiator XD Am alone on the board now... so lets wait how far the cautious approach gets me.

Made a little video of Stage 7 to maybe advertise some more League members via Youtube:

    Or 2000s without C4 Rally...everyone would use it 😞

Seems like almost no-one is using the C4. Actually a lot of 01's on the Board right now.

My run went semi-smooth. Kept it quite clean through the night, but then lost about 50+ sec on stage 6, all due to those nice rock hard roadside edges. To my utter surprise it seems like @kildog had the same problems during stage 6 and I even gained 3 secs on him, making the difference to first only 4 secs. So i decided to throw caution out the window:
Dropped the spare tyre, and had to made some cuts in repairs to fit in enough stuff. Many many quick fixes to get Turbo and Radiator back up. Looking at my mechanic who selected to fix the lights... "The sun is shining, I don't need lights, leave them broken and fix the girbox instead "
Pushed hard on last stage and yay ! Leading now with 8 secs ahead.
(Although thinking about stage 6, that might not last until the end...)

It was a really nice fight. Also discovered that 3 stages in NZ will wear out medium tires completely, which I found nice as it encourages some tire choices.

P.S. The points are all at 0 currently, so it seems CM fixed the website and we hopefully get proper point calculation this season. Together with proper damage and proper setup and selected wheels being saved between stages now.

EDIT: NZ will end tomorrow noon, so to any newcomers: Now is still time to jump into this League/Club and drive the whole season. This is the first of 11 rallies.
