  1. Agree with Peter, VR is not perfect DR 2.0 at all, but it's still a thrilling experience. I have over 200 hours clocked up on steam to prove it - all in VR. I would say that the Oculus run version seemed to be more stable than Steam. I used to use an Oculus Quest with a GTX 1660 and got very acceptable performance, but when I "upgraded" to an HTC Vive Cosmos, I had to upgrade my graphics card as well. I've got an RX 6800 XT now and can run virtually everything ultra with 150% supersampling. Driving in VR in the wet needs to be experienced to be believed. I do sympathise with the performan
  2. @GuusHugo I was having issues with my RX 6800 XT until I enabled enhanced sync in my Radeon control panel. Have you tried the Nvidia equivalent or even regular vsync? This is on a Vive Cosmos so not nearly as demanding as the G2, but it's still a relatively high res HMD. I can run with most settings at Ultra/on, MSAA x 2 and it's buttery smooth.
  3. I'd try lowering the per game resolution settings in Steam VR - do it in Windows rather than in VR, it's really hard to adjust the resolution slider with touch controls. I've just got a Vive Cosmos and have a GTX 1660 and had similar FPS problems at full resolution. I tried it at 50% and it was much, much better although obviously visuals suffer. From there at least you can then start moving it back up to 100% until you get the best compromise between performance and quality.
  4. Wow, I need to reinstall it. I obviously hadn't unlocked it before upgrading to DR2.
  5. Was Pikes Peak omitted from DR2 for the sake of brevity, or was it licensing? I would love to see it return but with the option of the pre-tarmac road a la Climb Dance. I'd also like to see more control over in-car the viewpoint - for some of the cockpit views, I can't see the dash display properly, even when I've adjusted the view with the number pad keys. I can't see the speed data in the Polo R5, for example, and the gear indicator is slightly obscured in the Lancia Delta Integrale.
  6. Platform: Steam Country: England Place where error was encountered: Weekly Events/everywhere Kind of error: "Server refused connection attempt" / Error code 3738bf38ed220b7-cd3417a4-55-58"
  7. Yep, same here. Steam, Windows 10. It was fine all yesterday.
  8. Servers down again for the third time in a week for me. 😥
  9. Perhaps this is the reason (there's a hotfix driver, linked at the bottom of the thread)? https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/forums/game-ready-drivers/13/402768/valve-index-missing-dropped-frames-since-nvidia-d/
  10. Thank god. I was worried it was something serious related to Storm Christoph.
