2 New Car Smell
  1. I think the most important thing would be to rethink the physics engine of the game, because force feedback is also based on it. The physics look good in dirt rally 2.0, but the force feedback is "blurry", which allows me to conclude that the physics calculations are rough, and it's only solved by tricks to make them look good. Users already have fast enough CPUs to be able to do the necessary calculations, no need to trick.
  2. Thank you for your reply! The answer is simple, I don't want to kill my eyes by focusing on things that are too close for longer time, ~80cm is the sweet spot as far as I know. I'm 42 years old, and I still can see everything sharply because I followed this rule so far, despite watching the monitor for 12 hours a day... I found the solution anyways, there is an option in the hardware_settings_config.xml called eyefinity force. Value 2x1, 3x1 scales the fov lower and lower.
  3. Hi All! I checked this website to make sure that i feel the FOV too high on the lowest settings, and it confirms it is. I have a 32:9 monitor, and I should sit 62 cm away on the lowest settings. I'm actually sitting 78 cm away, so I feel myself in a strange dimension, like a bug behind the wheels. Is there any way to set the FOV lower? I know the last patch has been released for the game, but I can't believe that this simple setting is confined to such stupid limits and there is nothing to do with it. Best regards, Gabor
