  1. Thoughts from Afro I'm sure you're just as surprised as I am that it's now Thursday and there isn't a race thread up yet, and that Sebastian Vettel managed to drag the SF-15 to victory at the previous round at Malaysia. To be honest, I realised during pre-season testing that Ferrari would be the dark horse of the 2015 campaign, but if you asked me at the start of the season to say when Ferrari would win a race, I wouldn't have said Malaysia or any of the first five or six rounds. Obviously, this turn of events shook Mercedes enough to bring forward aero updates to this round. Keep your eye out for a 'major' new front wing, supposedly it's faster than the last one. Red Bull looked a little better in Malaysia, having both cars finish a Grand Prix and enter Q3 for the first time this season. However, the big upset for them was having both cars from the junior team Toro Rosso finish ahead of them. You'd have to go back to 2009 to find a similar situation between the two. An embarrassment if you ask me... Poor Force India had both drivers penalised for what I felt were race incidents. That led to no points whatsoever. Williams are there, but they aren't making the sort of impression that they made towards the end of last season. At the moment, their hopes of winning a race are fading away. Impressive drive from Kimi Raikkonen, having suffered a rear puncture at the start of the race, falling to last, then ending up in fourth by the checkered flag. I guess the safety car helped him out a bit, but impressive nonetheless. Manor started their first Grand Prix, albeit with one car driven by Roberto Merhi. Will Stevens had a fuel system issue that ruled him out of the race and qualifying. Although Merhi had qualified outside the 107% time, the stewards were generous enough to let them race. Maybe they won't be so lenient next time. 2. Pre Season Preview The long nights of winter are over and the sport is heading back down under for the first round of the 2015 championship. Mercedes, looking dominant as ever having amassed the most kilometres throughout the winter testing program. Red Bull will be looking to capitalise on their package in order to challenge the Silver Arrows, having being the only team other than Mercedes to win in 2014. Ferrari, having their first win-less season since 1993, have made massive strides over the winter through the shake up of internal staffing. It now seems they may be a contender to challenge for the win. New recruit Sebastian Vettel will be looking to follow in Michael Schumacher's footsteps as he looks to emulate his championship record. Will McLaren have sorted out their pre-season issues with the struggling Honda power unit? Having already lost Fernando Alonso for the opening round, will Kevin Magnussen pull a stunning performance to prove why McLaren may have made the wrong decision regarding their lineup for 2015? Toro Rosso driver Max Verstappen will be looking to prove the critics wrong by being the youngest driver to start a Grand Prix in Melbourne. Lotus may be a team to look out for this season, now utilising the powerful Mercedes power unit, and are already looking better for pre-season form than in 2014. Big surprise has to be Manor F1 team, having defied all odds to make it on to the entry list for this season. Will they pull off an even bigger surprise during the race weekend? 3. @Hatta I don't know what kind of policies Codemasters have in place for moderation online multiplayer, but I'm sure most people who race online will have come across a racer who goes out of their way to take other racers off.  I don't know why they do it but action needs to be taken. The following video is of one such person, who races on PSN. There should also be a way for hosts to block certain people from entering lobbies, or having some sort of peer review system, where people with unfavourable reviews will be automatically blocked from certain lobbies. EDIT: Apparently 'naming and shaming' people is against forum rules :( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uq69UX3QTCY&feature=youtu.be&t=49s

    F1 2014 Feedback Thread

I have noticed that there isn't really a thread for this kind of thing, so I thought I might start. 1. The handling in the game seems to be easier than in 2013, the car feels like it is easier to get into a corner even with lower downforce levels. Then again, I'm playing with a pad 2. I noticed that when I change the brake bias while driving, the animation from last year is still there. This should not be there, and should be changed on the actual steering wheel itself, not the side of the cockpit 3. You can really feel the torque from the car when coming out of the corners, which is really good 4. Monaco has actually been updated in line with what it is like in real life (Yacht Club outside tunnel, T1 kerbs)
  5. Should be an interesting race championship wise, track itself looks flowing, and should suit Williams quite well
  6. I hope Nico's car catches fire again. Otherwise, this is a high downforce circuit, meaning Red Bull might be more competitive.
  7. Discuss the GP weekend here. I'm not sure why they've decided to put the DRS Zone 1 at between Turn 1 and 2. Would have made more sense to put it on the pit straight.
