Begs the question of what would be faster on a stage. My money is firmly on the rally car (be it WRC+ or WRC)

R-GT cars do run only on tarmac in the FIA-promoted R-GT Cup, so that makes sense as a choice. They do include Ypres in the calendar though😉

In the standard FIA points the winner gets 25 points, seven more than second. Codies' points scoring system, having less gap between the different positions, is way less demanding in terms of results. For example, in the FIA system you get half the points of the winner when you come fourth (12 points). With Codies' scores, that happens when you arrive seventh (14 points)

I did by compulsively buying three used cars in the same day because SALES and then proceeding to trash one of those into a tree. The repairs costed me all the remaining money apart from 300cr. which I couldn't use because no repairs were that cheap. Luckily I finished the event with a broken car and got the money

I'd say this is more of an exposure issue. In the same frame are the interior, which is very clearly visible even though it's in the shadows of the cockpit, and the road, which has a very light colour and is brighly lit by the sun. It doesn't look ideal at all but I don't think it's giving out more light than possible

Not necessarily related but I wanted to share this story. I was doing career in New Zealand with the Subaru R4, going foot to the floor at 180kph into a 6 Left over jump. I go over the crest, still full throttle, landing on the inside of the jump. All just to find a marshall weaving at me because there was a car stopped ahead. The marshall was literally on the edge of the road, on the inside where I had landed. All I'll say is, I was still over 160 when I got the reset to track

The very easy solution to this is being slow in the game. Like me. I don't have to worry about DoR and shifts because they aren't going to get me to the top, so I can use whatever I like to. I mean, my issue with trees, rocks and cliffs is hardly due to the steering rotation I usually go for soft lock to have the true DoR of that car, and I don't have an H-Shifter 'cause money so paddles will do

That's one of the sweetest problems a rally game developer can have, isn't it? 3 characters, considering the 26 letters and the 10 digits, give out 42'840* possible different arrangements. Money for licensing would end WAYYY earlier than that I guess *and yes, one of those actually is 22b

A different Codemasters studio has the licence for the entire F1 championship, tracks included. Their accord with the promoter means that they don't have to deal with individual track owners. Even Poliphony, without such a deal, couldn't manage to get Spa in GT Sport...

To defend my fellow countryman, he's italian while the WRC8 developer, Kylotonn, is French. So that's definitely not patriotism. I haven't tried any WRC game so I can't comment further

It would have been more ironic if the penalty for taking two jokers was to take ANOTHER joker...

Having a water splash in the Joker route sounds like a GREAT idea. I can still see that going horribly wrong, but if you manage to get the drivers to slow down enough, so that they won't rip the floor off with water, it'd be awesome...

All I know is, it didn't take too long for Gr.A cars to beat the stage times the way more loosely regulated Gr.B cars had set three to four years before

I genuinely can't see the issue in this. That car looks too good not to throw money at her... That being said, there's one big issue with this one. The car is officially named Subaru Impreza WRC97. They can't use WRC. They could use the Prodrive codename and call it S3. They could call it Impreza WRX'97. OR, they could call it.....(dare I say it).... 22b? 😅

A game with 12 rally locations and (finally) a Peugeot 206 is already pretty awesome if you ask me. Anything more would be incredible, and great, but pretty improbable if you ask me

To be honest, in an eventual post-S4 content, any new rally would be awesome... Twisty tarmac is one of the first things that come to mind, so something like Corsica or Ireland. Then I'd actually like Codies to add new stages to the already existing locations, because roads do tend to get quite old overtime. A third long stage would go a long way into allowing to make long interesting events with different bits of road

Trust me, it's still possible. I think it requires slightly more effort than in DR1, at least when hardcore damage is not on, but it is still very possible. I'll tell you this, given that I only care about stage rally, the fact that Season 4 is RX only means I don't have to figure out how to buy that too and can concentrate solely on the money I NEED for the 206😍

The choice of doing an all-RX season 4 is interesting. I don't know if they did that because they found out that people have a high interest in WRX, or because they had some contractual obbligation. I mean, I don't know how many players actually care about the minor differences between the 2018 and the 2019 versions of those cars, apart from WRX enthusiasts

I was talking about the new Giulia and the Stelvio: they did pretty well in some surveys against their German counterparts. The MiTO is a lot older project... As a Ferrari fan, let's just not talk about reliability, expecially during F1 qualifying

*Were not known. The latest Alfa Romeo cars have reliability that seems on par with their German rivals. Most supercars nowadays seem to have ironed out that "feeling hot today might catch fire later idk" issue they had. Besides, Italian cars have the HUGE advantage that they look beautiful even as standing still😎

If I studied correctly from @tbtstt, the switch from S1 to E2 happened because the FIA wanted all evolutions of all Gr.B cars to have an 'e' in the model name: this is why the Lancias are called Evo or Evoluzione. The germans had to switch to the new denomination by the FIA, but since they don't like being told what to do by the French, they call the car S1 E2 nowadays to mantain their original denomination. At least, this is how I see it.
