    Announcing F1 2015

The AI is pretty good. It's still not perfect though. It depends on the track but sometimes the AI is a little bit too aggressive and therefore too often off the track. You can get an impression here, it's the final build: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEvuKfV2Y6w

    Two things

License is their excuse for everything. Who actually believes this anymore?

I have decided, that I hate DRS.

Your arguments are as fake as DRS is. - Overtaking would not stop. This is just rubbish. There were awesome overtakes 60 years in F1 history without DRS.  - Cars will not finish in the same order, the bullshit V6 will prevent this when all Renault's go boom. - Millions already stopped watching because of the **** V6. TV figures dropped 2014 and still dropping dramatically 2015. Really? Language again?

Actually, no. They were not 'just introduced for the show', they were introduced because of safety concerns about the heavy metals previously being used and to force teams to run higher ride heights to manage plank wear. I don't remember people complaining about F1 being fake last time titanium skid blocks were used (pre 1994)! Also, DRS has never been about creating an easy overtake. We all want to see cars pulling 5g round corners but the consequence of that is it's nearly impossible to closely follow the car in front. When DRS is applied correctly, it gives the following driver a fighting chance of getting into the breaking zone to challenge for position. Without it the following car would need to be 2+ seconds a lap faster to attempt a move. Admittedly, at some circuits it is applied better than others, but since the DRS zones are determined before the cars hit the track it’s a bit of a guessing game where the correct placement should be. Oh come on, you actually believe this bullshit? FOM officially considered to introduce sparks because of the show. Later Charlie came up with this bullshit safety reasons only because they recognized once more that F1 is just show bullshit today. As for DRS: I rather take one single real overtake than this DRS fake overtaking crap. Where are the times when an overtake was really about the skills of the drivers like Lauda, Senna, Prost, Schumacher? "Line him up for the pass" had a meaning back then. A 'real' overtake as you call it, almost always required the following car to be 2 second a lap faster, so it hardly had meaning. Oh well done, the faster car overtook and disappeared into the distance. One dear, this is just ... ridiculous. What, you shouldn't have to be faster to pass :p Nope. You should just be able to push a button correctly :D That's what Senna said already:  "And if you no longer go for a chance to push the button, you are no longer a racing driver"

How can you not like the SPARKS from last night? :O They were from the titanium skid blocks I know that, but how can one not like them? :) Because they are artificial and just introduced for the show which is ridiculous for serious motorsport (exactly like DRS, fuel and tyre saving).

    F1 2015 No Career mode??

They better put an embargo for reviews on it until release. I'm pretty sure the missing career mode will lead to a huge devaluation.

That's their strategy for years now.  Avoiding answers about things they absolutely know they have fucked up.

    Announcing F1 2015

I think @justbiglee stated on Twitter that there wasn't going to be any further developments(information) this week, possibly next week as well :( A little disappointing but hey...look on the bright side, at least Ferrari are getting closer to Mercedes! :) In short: Nothing has changed since F1 2014. It's even worse this year despite the grandiose announcements.

You must have not seen many F1 races if you actually consider these as "some of the best races". Actually they were some of the best races in recent F1. Why not? Each year we get some great races and those above were definate examples. Recent F1 is pretty vague. If you consider recent F1 as last year, then I agree. Otherwise I disagree. This "tyre-fuel-saving-DRS-fake-overtaking-horrbile sounding-F1" we have today is just MOD EDIT: LANGUAGE PEOPLE

How can you not like the SPARKS from last night? :O Yeah, I guess they will now put a New Year rocket under every car to intensify their artificial sparks. It's a sad day if F1 needs such artificial things like DRS to make races interesting. Actually I hate everything about the current F1. Okay so people getting held up because there tyres and engine overheat is better? Aka 2010 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix? Please go watch bahrain 2014 Grand Prix, hungary 2014 Grand Prix and hockenhiem 2014 Grand Prix, easily some of the best races ive seen You must have not seen many F1 races if you actually consider these as "some of the best races".

    Announcing F1 2015

It would have been awesome if SMS could have get the license for next year. Project Cars will be supported with DLC's for a few years so they could have updated it with the real F1 (in the) next year(s).

    Announcing F1 2015

By far the worst change they've made. You could simply run season mode if you wanted before. Now people who like Career mode have no choice.  It's pretty selfish of you to be glad that a decent portion of the player base just got screwed, because it caters to your short attention span. Nothing stopping people who like career mode from playing the season mode again and again and again. When you start a new season you can just pick a new driver and pretend you signed up for them. Blame Formula 1 management for hamstringing the possibilities of a career mode with driver transfers and what not. Bullshit. If they actually cut out career mode then not because of FOM but because of the same reason why they cut out FP3 in the past. Because it needed a lot of work to test. Anyway, to cut out career mode would be the dumbest thing they ever did. I don't know how to be so stupid if you have professional research departments.

    Announcing F1 2015

I don't f*** care about my name. I want to have a mode where I can start as a rookie and work my way up to Tier1 and become a F1 champion after a hard fight ... not in one season but like in real life after 5/6/7 years - in best case of course.

    Announcing F1 2015

They have promised us some info this week it's just a matter of waiting for it. Indeed.  The lack of patience here is really remarkable.  There's very few software developers that have a weekly press release during the development phase of a game.  It is only 18 days since their F1 2015 announcement.  Getting more information this week is a perfectly reasonable wait.  The amount of information we get leading up to release is out of our control, yet everyone continues to demand more.  Instead of complaining about waiting, we should appreciate the fact that we have two community managers who are actually interacting with the community and being as forthcoming as possible. Personally, gameplay videos won't tell me much because the essence of a racing game/sim is in how it feels.  The closest we can get to that for now (until we have some independent previews by people who have a beta version in their hands) is the developers telling us what changes they've made, so I'd welcome interviews to get some of our questions answered. There's also very few software developers that give absolutely no information about their upcoming game just 2 months before the release.

Not much has changed regarding marketing for F1 2015 at CM unfortunately. That's what can be determined already. So hopefully at least the game is better than 2014. I doubt it.

    Announcing F1 2015

No, no news today sorry. Don't think there will be anything this week either, like I said I'll keep you updated. Hmmm, that's what you're saying since 2 weeks now (see your post from March 30). I hope you won't do the same mistake as they did 2013 and 2014. It's basically 2 or 2,5 months until release, so you should actually start doing marketing.
