I've been spending a bit of time on the Corsair forums. Got into my first argument there the other day B)

Yea, it seems good, but worth spending that much money on? I'm not so sure. Plus I'm quite happy that SLI 980's still beat it fairly easily ;) Super super impressed with the Z3 still, normally with my S3 I'd have every feature turned off, used screen brightness as low as I could get it, barely ever used data or any intense apps from trying to eak out a bit more juice and I'd usually end up with anywhere between 5 and 30% battery left come bed time.  Today with the Z3, I left every single extra feature turned on, like Wi-Fi, data, location, sync, about 3/4 brightness etc. Used YouTube, Spotify, took a fair bunch of pictures and vids, as well as more browsing than normal and the usual showing it to my colleagues. I took it off charge at the same time I would have the S3, it was plugged into USB on my PC for about 5 mins while I transferred some music on, but otherwise no real charging. It's at 52% left B) Already love this phone lol.

I'm not a fan either. It's too flashy and busy for my liking now.

Yea I was actually pretty impressed with him! I went from "Meh, he seemed kinda weird in F1" at the start of the race, to cheering him on for the win by the end :p Though the fact that I dislike Nico Prost a bit after his first round move on Heidfeld might have played a small part in that ;)

Glad I'm not the only one! It's just too squashed for me (it's the same with MGS:GZ too unfortunately). It definitely seems low budget though, it's what you kind of expect for a Silent Hill/Resident Evil wannabe if it was released 6 years ago. I keep getting that not sure what to play now feeling, and I know why. It's because I'm dying to get back on GTA V lol, just nothing else I have really compares to it and it's frustrating! Too much masturbating? :p  Probably a silly question but you haven't operated any large vibrating equipment in the last 24 hours have you? Other than your steering wheel lol. When I worked on building sites I didn't take much notice of health and safety regs regarding stuff like drill hammers and pneumatic drills, and now I can't even operate a garden strimmer without my arms going numb for 3 days after.  Though if it's hurting, I'd get it checked out!

I do man yea, but after playing it with the Last Light gameplay style added in it's difficult to go back to the original :p I'll figure it out at some point though.  Yea I figured I'd try it again too dude, but I'm still completely stuck at the point where you first face the guy with the safe on his head. So I've given up again I think, plus the cramped FOV doesn't help much. I'm getting frustrated with console ports having crappy FOV and no option to change them. Loving the phone so far! Gonna have to spend most of the night customizing it to my liking now lol.

It's been ok dude, so far I've only had issues with 2 games. First was Metro 2033 Redux which refused to acknowledge there was a second card (despite there being an Nvidia SLI profile for it), I read there was a way to sort it but decided I couldn't be arsed at the time lol. And the second was The Evil Within, which I had to use Nvidia Inspector to force SLI with, then when I booted the game it still acted like one card, minimized the game, to google, and when I maximised it again SLI decided to work lol.  Everything else has been good though :)  Just about to turn on my Z3 B)

98, not a bad start at all! Very much saved by the top 3 though. I'm ashamed to admit I was willing Vettel to get past Massa :* 186 points for Willyams @mike96! :)

    Formula E Thread

I did bud. It was ok, the 4 races before this were better I thought but I was glad to see a lack of sausage curbs. There's a few things that niggled me though. The studio to circuit format just doesn't work, it's really really boring and I tune out most of the studio parts and end up browsing the net during those parts, they need to get into the paddock and wander just as Sky and BBC do with F1.  And they need a different director, 5 laps into the race they cut to too many replays of the start, then a shot of a garage, and missed something like 3/4 laps while Bird and Vergne were battling for the lead. Plus whenever they switch to the helicam they really must mute the audio from it and use trackside mics instead, the high pitched hum was annoying enough to make me eye up the volume button on my remote more than a few times.  It's just a bunch of niggly things really, but it's also things that make the presentation seem really amateurish and silly. Though I guess it'll improve over time. So, racing wise it was ok, not as dramatic as the first 4 races though, and the presentation needs some real polishing minus Jack Nicholls and Dario Franchitti who seem like a good team in the comm box, and an honourable mention for Nicki Shields too.

For me it's one of those things where if you put it in the washing machine by accident (done that before) or drop it into the sink or bath then it's useful, but I'm not gonna test it just in case there is a small defect that affects the waterproofing like Hughesy said.

Ain't no way :p No point in risking a £400 phone when Sony won't honour the warranty for water damage.

Lol, hell no :p If you have a look HERE there's a bunch of stories from people who put it in water, it stopped working, then Sony wouldn't honor the warranty. The only water mine will be seeing is when I'm out and about and it's raining :p

Sweet :) Well I won't be going 4K any time soon I don't think, I have been eyeing up some 1440p 144hz monitors, but the prices right now are just a bit nuts.  When they do cut the prices I'll be like :'( but it'll definitely be a good thing for everyone else :p And so far, I've not really come across any big problems with SLI, had a bit of a stuttering issue with Dying Light but I found a fix online for that. So far dude it's been pretty much painless, haven't had any issues yet to put me off!

True on that dude, I'll be keeping an eye on them constantly now lol. So yea, yours will indeed run warming thanks to 1440p, now I'm wondering what temp differences 1080p and 4K DSR at 1080p will give me... Time for experiments! Just ran Fire Strike Extreme, it basically ran as Fire Strike did with one 980 lol, scored 5937.

Suppose I should add this in here! Got such an awesome deal on it, 10GB of double speed 4G data, unlimited calls and texts, full cover and insurance, unlimited free calls and texts from anywhere in the EU, all for £32.49 a month with a one off payment of £59.99 for the phone. And the best part, my brother works for EE so the 40% discount he applied to my account kicks in from the second months bill onward, meaning I'm paying £19.49 a month for all of that B)

Lol, I guess it does :p For me though, the difference between onboard and that soundcard was enough really, onboard really is awful in comparison to even that £25 one lol.  Seems I made a mistake with the Tomb Raider bench earlier dude, had to have the game set to exclusive fullscreen for SLI to fully work, so I have new numbers for you! For anybody else, the games set with everything maxed out, and DSR at 1440p. Single 980 15% overclock FPS Min: 54 Max: 94 Ave: 74 SLI 980's at stock FPS Min: 92 Max: 156 Ave: 125.9 Now that's more like it! B) And temps are now 73C and 64C, whilst still being reasonably quiet on the cusom curve. It's all going well so far :)

    The PC Thread

Yea I'd defiantly use Afterburner to check game temps ingame, as a lot of people using SLI can get temps over 90C, especially with reference cooling. Mind you the 980 reference is the best cooler out of all the reference designs. Yea I'd get a sound card bud, if you want a good one either get this (red I know, but it's a great card) http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-087-CL&groupid=701&catid=11 Or this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=SC-016-AS&groupid=701&catid=11 Which is a better version of what I have, or you could get the one I have if you can find it instock. The only downside with mine is it uses a power cable, which is actually the same cable as floppy discs used. Luckily PSUs still come with one, but it does annoy me. Not sure you want to spend that much, but for me audio is just as important as graphics, and as you use surround sound a good sound card is a must really. Right, so far I've tried Black Flag and FC4, I can play both completely maxed out, with DSR set to 4K, and get between 70 and 80 FPS on FC4, and it's completely pegged at 60 on Black Flag (only lets you choose 60Hz on res)  Temps on both games were 82c and 74c, which isn't too bad at all, though I'll probably set up a custom curve to get the top card down to 80c at least. Won't be going for either of those soundcards dude :p Both are far outside my price range. I've managed to get the onboard a little better, surprisingly it's better when it comes to the actual 5.1 aspect, but the audio quality is just so so much worse. This is the one I'm gonna order, I was happy with the one I had so I'll get it again just the PCIe one instead. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Express-Normalizer-Virtual-Speaker-Shifter/dp/B007RMMYFI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1426285606&sr=8-1&keywords=Asus+Xonar+DGX

Cheers dude :) I'm pretty chuffed with how good they look! Kinda thought they'd make my case look cramped, but I'm actually thinking they look perfect in it. Haha, yep, one on top is definitely hotter, I haven't checked in a game yet though, but at idle the top card is currently at 37c and the bottom is 25c. Worth noting though that it's pretty damn warm in my room with the heating on right now, so when I checked the temps before having the heating on they were at 32c (which is only slightly above previous idle) and 24c. No custom fan curve yet though, will sort that while having a game running. Also, I forgot how terrible onboard audio sounds :/ My soundcard was PCI so it had to come out to fit the second card in, gonna have to repurchase a PCIe version of it I think!
