Oh dear, it seems promoting the tea boy to engineer whilst still paying him the same wage didn't go down too well. -
Ok, dentist rescheduled for next Friday now lol. Won't be running after any vans screaming 'stop!' now ;)
-
If it does come in that time, I'll track the driver via the DPD site and chase him down lol.
-
And I can't wait to put it in! Only trouble now is I havr the dentist tomorrow morning so I'm hoping they won't arrive in the hour and a half I'll be out lol.

@Hughesy The news was good!!! x2

Think I'd agree on that. It wasn't a bad game by any means, just the setting and characters didn't really pull me into it.

The F1 2015 Grand Prix Predictor Forum Game

I'll team up with you. Awesome, we need a team name. I'm no good at naming things  I don't think I am any better haha. Maybe @RevolvingPrawn can give you a few suggestions ;) I'm not sure they'd like the list of names I came up with ;) -
For me, it depends on how much I enjoy a game, and the price of the DLC/Season Pass. I bought the season pass for Alien Isolation because I loved the game, but I bought the season pass for FC4 because I found it for £6 lol. Any higher and I wouldn't have bothered seeing as how the game plays like crap. Edit: Apparently Ubisoft have patched FC4 again, and made the game even worse. Posts about the gaame crashing even more often and reintroducing bugs that had seemingly been fixed in previous patches on their forums.

@Hughesy Dune buggies and a bow! Techland have been amazing with this game :) http://www.game-debate.com/news/?news=16229&game=Dying%20Light&title=Dying%20Light%20To%20Get%20Dune%20Buggies%20And%20Bow%20And%20Arrows%20In%20Future%20Update

Like @Hughesy said, I wasn't saying anybody should choose one over the other :p It's all about personal preference and what works for whoever. I used to be all about console gaming until I built my PC, but I'd still always have whatever the latest console is because I still enjoy them as well as my PC :) -

Well, higher res and FPS fall under the better graphics umbrella for me :p But yea, building your own gaming rig is an awesome experience, and you really can make your PC yours. It's like @Hughesy and I get similar performance from our PC's but they look completely different from one another. And very true on the rereleases lol. Tomb Raider and Metro Last Light redux are 2 that spring to mind. They made the console versions look better, but the original versions on PC still look better than any console version. -

Not so much anymore. Well, I suppose there's updates/downloads and such, but when you put the game disc in you know it's gonna play. With a PC game, one day the game loads fine, the next it could just refuse to open or crash for no reason. (...I wasn't nit-picking your remark - just commenting on the generally awful state of console game quality of late. I'm a long-time console gamer & it seems like the industry is determined to completely destroy all of the enjoyment & value in console gaming. They might drive us all to PC gaming, whether we want it or not.) Nah it's all good, you had a point bud. I didn't play Destiny for something like 2 months and when I went back to it I had to update my console, and then update the game before I could play lol, took about 30-40 mins and by then I wasn't sure I wanted to play anymore :p If you do get driven to PC gaming though, it isn't the Dark Side, you'll only really feel The Force when gaming on a powerful PC :p -

PC Gaming Pros: ModdingBetter graphicsCheaper gamesMore peripheralsNo charge for online gamingMore choice of gamesFaster loading timesYou can upgrade individual parts of hardware when games get more demandingIf a part stops working you can replace just that partCons: More expensive hardwareCompatibility issues/Sometimes games just won't runCrap console portsConsole Gaming Pros: You put the disc in, the game just playsCheaper hardwarePortable, you can take a console to a mates houseExclusives (depending on the console)Usable as a DVD/Blu Ray player for your TVEasier for couch gaming (no messing with a keyboard and mouse out of game)Cons: No moddingGames are a lot more expensiveWorse graphics (though they aren't awful or anything)Pay to play onlineLess peripheralsIf the console stops working you have to send the whole thing for repairSlower loading timesSlower to do things in general than a good spec PCThese are just off the top of my head right now, I'm pretty sure others could add more stuff in. And don't take it as a bashing of console gaming, I have an Xbox One, and before that a 360, a PS2, a PS1, a Sega Megadrive (1 & 2), and a SNES. I like console gaming, but I find I play PC games just about every night, while I play my console maybe once or twice a month. -
And it'd probably still come out for consoles before GTA V for PC.
-
Same dude, my 750D window came scratched from the HDD thumbgrip bits pressing into it. I'll probably order a new one too at some point, but not while it still lives under my desk.
-
Is it just me or did Rockstar say they were delaying GTA V PC so they could release it at the same time as online heists went live? Well, online heists went live on the consoles today... Cheeky *******'s. And they've added more vehicles and stuff. Seriously, I hate when a company decides to release extra bits when they still haven't finished a bloody product.
-
For looks indeed lol. Atm OcUK have reference cards, but if they run out the EVGA Superclocked reference card is on most sites so that'd be the one I'd go for. As for extra heat and noise, not something I'm too worried about, I can't hear my PC over my speakers or headphones so cranking up the fan speed a bit won't be a problem :) And I don't really need the extra power, I just want it ;) It'll be a celebration present if things work out lol, but right now it could go either way I guess, so I may not end up with another and that's ok. As for the monitor, I don't plan on staying at 1080p forever, but being able to max out and use the most of my 144Hz would be awesome! And I know it'll be a while, but I can wait for DX12 :)
-
Thing is, I need another reference card and they're just about EOL now, so the sooner I order the better. And I'm not bothered if there's problems with games now, if DX12 delivers with its SLI promise then all will be good ;) Seems like you're trying to talk me out of it yet a week or so ago you said you wanted another one yourself :p I felt the same way about the blinking man, really. The first time a guy at work showed me vids of it I said to him I didn't wanna play because the blinking looked annoying, but he said the same to me as I did to you and he was right :)
-
Don't let the age or the blinking put you off :p You get used to the blinking, it's not really an issue and you can use it strategically against SCP-173, as for the age, V1.0 came out only a few months back, and it's already up to 1.0.6 :) So it's constantly updated. Just realised dude, if I get good news on Wednesday, I'll be able to order another GTX 980 straight away... I'm not religious, but I'll consider getting on my knees and praying to keep my job for the next 2 nights before bed lmao ;)

2015 Formula 1 Rolex Australian Grand Prix
RevolvingPrawn replied to afrodude41's topic in World of Motorsport
Yea, and what I'm talking about is actual YouTube videos :p I usually catch up on whatever vids I've missed from the 10-15 YouTubers I regularly watch. -
I don't :p Sometimes a break in the scares works wonders for me in a horror game! Tell you what though, if you like Isolation, you should try a game called SCP Containment Breach. It's free, and it doesn't have the graphics of Isolation, but for atmosphere it easily matches it. Plus you're also being hunted non-stop in it, just like Alien ;) Plus the fan written back story is just enormous! Have a look at the link below, there's listings for 2999 different SCP's (not all are filled out yet though), which can range from full-on monsters, to mundane objects that have some kind of anomaly. Have a read of SCP-173, he's the first you meet in the game, and he will stalk you constantly for the rest of it, along with SCP-106. I like to play this game at work when there's nothing to do, because it'll run on just about any laptop :) http://www.scp-wiki.net/ Oh something else I forgot to mention, the game randomly generates the facility, so it's pretty rare for the same things to be in the same place whenever you start a new game B)
