I am so confused. So I've spent about 5 hours trying to get these to work, and nothing was happening, left rear was still buggered. So I sent off an RMA to Scan, and while I left music playing I got the box ready to pack em up, pulled one of the cables out and it worked! Every bloody channel now works just from pulling out one of the actual audio cables lol. I actually cannot explain it, but it's all working properly and I now feel like a tit lol. Edit: Just had a look, it seems I pulled out the cable that connects the sub to the PC, except the sub is still working without problems, still pumping out some chunky bass lol. I'm scratching both head and beard in wonder.

Well this is just bloody wonderful. Utterly fuming right now. So the speakers worked just fine when I plugged them in for the first time, so I spent an hour or so getting them set up, unhooking all my old speakers, and decluttering wires behind my pc. Turned it on expecting them to be working still, and of course, one of the bloody channels has stopped already.  Last time it was the right rear/side channel that went, now with this set it's the goddamn left. I've even plugged them into my crappy spare PC (which has a 5.1 sound card) and it's exactly the same.  The most annoying part is that if I switch the input to use a single input from my phone, every speaker works. Switch back to the PC and the left side shuts off. I just do not effing understand what the hell is wrong with this stupid thing. Pissed off to the point that I feel like throwing it all out the front door whilst shouting obscenities  loud enough to be heard from space.

Already tried that :p Talk Talk's website is very vague on information about their hardware too lol. You're lucky then dude, if I look at mine at full brightness it leaves 'GEFORCE GTX' imprinted on my eyeballs for a short while haha :) That's an awesome feature though bud, kinda wish mine would do the same! If they made that cooler in black and blue as well as red and blue I woulda been happy to grab one instead of the reference I think. The fan stopping is enough of a feature to have made me want it. At the moment mine idles at 33c with the fan spinning around 1100rpm, but like you said, if it could stop it'd make it last longer! The saving grace for me though is that with the 2 coolers I bought for the LED's, I also have 2 spare fans and they're pretty easy to stick in :)  Just got my new speakers, and I'm utterly blown away by them! Vast improvement on my Creative ones dude :D The sub is about double the size (to the point I'm not sure it'll fit under the shelf where my current one is lol) and the whole thing feels top quality. Just picking up the box it was stupidly heavy compared to picking up the box of my old set. And the volume is crazy lol, it goes up to 80, but at 65 I can't go any higher for fear of bursting my ear drums, plus the sound doesn't break up at all. The clarity of them is awesome too, you can pick out the tiniest noises in the background of a recording where you couldn't with the Creative ones. £100 very well spent I'd say! Now it's time to pull everything out around my desk and try to fit them in! Got them set up on the floor for testing right now :)  This is the size difference between the surround speakers lol.

Yea an Asus one, was about £120 I think. Those standard routers are crap, had the BT home hub and it was crap. When you have fibre does it have a different connection to normal broadband using a phone line? I hope not otherwise I wouldn't be able to use my Asus when I get fibre.... :# On checking your router, if you used a wired connection and right clicked on your PCs connection settings, it should say if it's a GB connection I think. Just noticed using Nvidia Experience I can control my GPU LEDs. You can have it set to pulse to game audio which is pretty cool, but would be off putting I think. I just have it set to 100% brightness  :) Lol, they mostly are, but this one feels fairly well made so I just left it :p Ummm, I don't think it does lol. What they did was add another box where the line from the master socket goes in, then that pops back out into the router, and I pick up my Wi-Fi from that. I'm seriously low on knowledge when it comes to networks and connections :p  Ok, so I can't check until I have it actually wired up? Lol, I play around with that all the time :p Mainly to try and match it to my H100i led. It's so so bright at 100% though so I just use it at 20%. Don't get blinded that way ;)

Didn't you buy like a proper decent router though? :p I'm using Talk Talk's standard fibre router. Not sure how I'd check what ports it uses.

Forum Mods - Applications Now Closed

And then the most popular member wins, even though they might not be suitable for the job. No thanks.  Yep I agree with that, this should be a popularity contest. I'm sure they know what they're doing :) I hope I get the chance to become one, I need something to feel the void of all the free time I have, now that I work part time. I get very bored and would love something that could be classed as work o:) Yep it will probably end up like that a "Popularity contest" where some candidates says they have been here for a long time and some saying i visit the forum everyday. I'm not sure but i think a mod is responsible for the entire forum not just one sub forum? I've been here since 2008, the forum is the first site I check whenever I get online, and I like to think I'm fairly popular with you guys. But there is no way in hell I'd wanna be a mod :p

I think you can get ones that have Wi-Fi range extenders built in which is cool, but the ones I was looking at were just purely for using the electricity cables to transfer your connection instead of a network cable :) Will definitely try them though, read on a few sites that most just peg it at 100Mbps in the connection status box and go no higher because the ethernet ports on standard routers can't handle higher. Testing is needed! That's a problem I don't have ;) Don't think any game I've downloaded from Steam has ever taken more than 30-40 mins. To redownload FC4 from Uplay was the longest, at about 55 minutes :) Makes a huge difference bud, you'll love it when you get it.

@Hughesy Lol, the spaz hands strike again? Quick question for you. Need it answered in the next 40 minutes if you see it lol. Have you ever tried powerline adapters, and are they any good? I'm using Wi-Fi still and getting about 165Mbps through my dongle. Thinking about picking up some 500Mbps rated powerline adapters with the hope that my speed will increase even more. Not sure if they increase speed, just range as far as I know.  How fast is your internet then? :o I have my PC wired to the router.  I normally get about 20 and 30Mbps out of it on speedtest :) Absolutely not slow, but I bought a £40 adapter and it's pretty damn awesome. When I bring up the Wi-Fi status box the speed is usually sat at 165 (54 at work), but I was just wondering if the powerline could maybe even up that. And if I could, I would have mine hooked into the router, but my master socket is in the wrong place lol. I've tried my router in the room, but it only gives me standard broadband speed, where my master socket gives me fibre optic. Can't do it by cable either because it would have to be about 20 meters with trying to twist, turn, and hide it lol. Good thing is my parents have a pair they use (not very often) in their living room, so I'll try to borrow them and test em over the weekend I think.

Just run GPU-Z while playing your most graphically demanding game, leave it open on the sensors tab and it'll tell you how much Vram you're actually using :p

I really liked the campaign on Ghosts, looking forward to the next one after the ending :) But I don't remember the Black Ops campaign, I got fully stuck into MP on that one and only did the story once. Only ones I haven't played are Modern Warfare 3 and Advanced Warfare.

Some games certainly are lol. I'll keep testing, and if needs be I'll drop it a little again, then once I'm happy with where it's at I'll start on the CPU :) As for the temp, 80c is my limit too, anything above that and I'll raise the fan curve again, just to make sure it doesn't go over. And I did, and I meant to reply, and I forgot to lol. I'd say give it a try, see how things go with it, and if works then keep it in there for that :) Oh and something you mentioned earlier... http://www.game-debate.com/news/?news=15672&graphics=GeForce%20GTX%20960%202GB&title=First%20GeForce%20GTX%20960%203DMark%2011%20Benchmarks,%20Specs%20And%20Pictures%20Revealed

That is indeed something CM do really well. The fact that F1 2014 can be DSR'd at 4K, have every single graphics setting maxed out and still give over 90fps just blows me away :) Gotta love em for that if anything lol. You're into the same kinda feeling I had when I got mine now dude, that feeling of "Oh my god this thing is so ridiculously awesome I have no idea how I lived before this was bolted into my machine" lol. I kept throwing game after game after game at mine and just being blown away by what it could give me :)  Just tinkered some more with my GPU overclock, had it at 1379Mhz with a boost of 1518Mhz, it got through Firestrike unlike the slightly higher ones before that, but running FC4 windowed with monitoring tools on top, I was getting display driver crashes that would make the game hang. So I've dropped it to 1317Mhz with boost to 1455Mhz and it's stable and happy now. Dropped my fan curve by 10% on each dot too so it's even quieter and actually hitting 80c lol. Before that it was only hitting 74c :)

Lol, not many people understand how hard a time scale like that without a GPU would be for us :p  Have you told your bro he's getting a nice upgrade?

Well, you got half of it so I'll let you have it lol :p Turn 5A and 5B (bloody Canadians!)

Well, I'd say it's not a particularly big jump, but it is a little bit of an upgrade. Kinda thought it might end up being times like that lol, I'd say you'll probably get it back within 2 weeks though really, 3 at a push :)

Converting that to £££, it comes out at £53. The cheapest I've seen here is around £70 so it's not bad at all.  Have a look at this card too, you'd get a fair bit more performance out of it for around $6 more.  http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/1-x-NVIDIA-GeForce-GTX-650TI-384Bit-DDR3-PCI-E-2-0-Graphics-Card-2G-3D-games-PC-/201168201508?pt=AU_Components&hash=item2ed68f2724 Yep have that one saved aswell, whats better the GT or GTX? They're both GTX ;) Which is better though, I'm not sure right now tbh. @Hughesy will probably be able to answer this better than me. Noticed that the 650 Ti is DDR3, and PCI-E 2.0, compared to the 650 being DDR5 and PCI-E 3.0. Not at all sure what difference that might make, but the 650 Ti should really be better in most other areas.

Lol, I'm glad you were wrong about it too :p I adore mine, and when I upgraded from the 770 to this I was a little worried that it might not live up to expectations, but it really has for me. Now there's only one game I've ever had problems running on it (you know which one lol) but I'll test it out tonight with the GPU overclock, and maybe I'll OC my i7 a bit too to see what that does for it ;) And what it does for my 3DMark score :p

Lol, it's always the way bud :p  Just from that though, it may be crazy fast and run games properly at 4K, but the price is going to be huge for something like that! And 300w! AMD will be asking people to put nuclear reactors in their PC's to run their cards one day lol.  I'm in roughly the same place as you though. I'll be sticking with 1080p for quite some time. When the day comes that I can get a monitor which has 144HZ at resolutions above 1080p for less than £400, I'll switch. But until then I'm happy using DSR with the 980 to eke out more sweet looking graphics :)
