    The Game Thread!

Not surprised Fez doesn't play it though there are loads of Giant Spiders underground near where the Dwarves live :p I won't play it because there's way too much lame magic and potion rubbish in it, which bores the absolute hell out of me :p Skyrim was the only game I made an exception for in this kind of genre, mainly because it played just like Fallout, plus I sword and shielded my way through it and completely ignored the magic crap.

Just thinking about it.. This is your new case right @Herby007? If it is, and you can't figure out what's causing the problem, might be worth trying your old case again and if that works then send back the new one and look for an alternative bud.

24 pin is what I call it, and what most people do :p Suppose you could call it an ATX cable but 24 pin is universal. Could be your mobo is being shorted by the case from the sounds of it, might have something to do with your motherboard standoffs or something conductive touching part of the board that it shouldn't.

Just cloned my 128GB boot SSD to my new Corsair Force LS 240GB SSD, managed to reassign the drive letters without much fuss and it's working all good! Doing that was much smoother than I imagined it would be :)

    F1 2015 car thread

Might be a fair bit away but the month will go very quickly, January always does! Looking forward to seeing the new cars, always do :)  Is that true about the Lotus crash test? Frigging hilarious if it is!

£9 Is about the right price for The Evil Within :p Think the only game I've bought in the sale is Assetto Corsa, been tempted by a few others but not enough to buy em. Just waiting for GTA V and Dying Light on Jan 27th now.

Really? When I tried using my 360 controller on TWD it didn't work :# Might try again, as when searching the net these games have long load times mid game which I've never had on PC, which would really ruin immersion... I use my X1 controller and it's fine dude, used my 360 controller for TWD S1, X1 controller for S2, plus there isn't really any loading, you might get like a fade to next scene but it's practically instant :p  Just bought Assetto Corsa thanks to @Platy posting about the sale :)

@Hughesy They all have controller support on PC, it's how I play them :p

It's in Bolton dude, couple of miles from my dads house, and a couple extra miles from my brothers :) First time I ever went in there was 2009, they had the 2007 BMW Sauber car in there at the time and a load of simulators set up :) It's an awesome place to visit, mainly because they have things in the store that aren't on the website. If you're ever up this way it's like Toys'R'Us for enthusiasts :D

Sat in Scan Computers :) This place is awesome, they had @Hughesy's wheel on a pneumatic rig set in the middle of curved screens with the F1 wheel stuck on it :) There's a racing game running but they've barriered the area off so I can't have a go :(

Nah, I use Precision X dude, had a few small niggles with Afterburner that I didn't get with Precision.  Plus, that new version wouldn't fit my colour scheme ;)

I'll be disappointed if you tell me that your parents didn't punch you in the face and say "Welcome to Earth" when you popped out :p I don't get this. :o Will Smith, Independence Day :p

    Alas I have Returned

Haven't you been reading the F1 discussion threads Steve Hood has left CM to join Dovetail to work on their train games That's a down turn... Actually, Train Simulator is a bit more interesting than the F1 games atm :p

Seems to be all good so far :) I did test it before fully putting it in, so I knew it worked, but it's actually working flawlessly for once lol. Soon as I booted up, Corsair Link recognised it and added a 'Power' tab in the software, and the fan hasn't even ran yet apart from when I pressed the test button. Plus this one doesn't make any swishing noises! Ran a benchmark, power didn't go over 268W so the fan didn't even spin :)  Next upgrade is a Corsair Force LS 256GB SSD ;)

Didn't see this before we talked on Steam :p If you wanna game at 120fps though, then it also depends on your monitor bud. If you have a 60hz monitor, going above that will most likely introduce screen tear (one of my most hated things!) So you'd need a 120hz monitor to match the fps. It makes an awesome upgrade though, mines 144hz and it's ultra smooth on the eyes! Using my 60hz monitor at work in comparison, it's like the difference between 30fps and 60fps, everything is just so much smoother. And I said the same as you @Hughesy :p GTX 970. But with the 960 coming Q1 2015, and the new architecture coming from both AMD and Nvidia next year, best to hold fire for now.
