I'm probably in the minority, but I prefer the current layout now. I think @Platy does too.
I consider myself in that club too. The old one had more character, but new layout is a better racing circuit.

Also, call me cynical, but I can't help but feel a lot of people who prefer the older one prefer it just because it's older, younger viewers especially.
Alot of the forum members grew up with the current layout and never saw the older layout on tv and love this layout because its more modern and you can see most of the racing from one point.
I know it doesn't really count, but I've watched a bunch of races that were held on the old layout. I just prefer the current version because to me it has more flow.

Like on racing games, Sepang is always my favourite but Hockenheim is a very close second.

  2. Ok firstly, sorry I think i posted this is the wrong place to start with.  lol.

I was asking about DVR's for recording gameplay.  Im a noob when it comes to DVR, and didnt realise, Id hadnt been very specific.

Im looking at the Elgato game recorder.

I want to be able to produce the replay, that shows "it wasnt me" who nailed someone, and then have the replay's of what happens when someone wrongly accuses me of taking them out.

Then they can be named and shamed on Youtube.

    :P
Aah, for that I recently got a Hauppauge HD PVR 2 Gaming Edition Plus. The quality it captures is great, and it just works. The best feature for me is that it has a button on top, you press it and it launches the program and starts recording straight away. Extremely useful for me as I switch input on my monitor when I play on console.

The only thing that can be annoying, it seems to take 2-3 minutes to pick up your console when you turn it on. So you'll be looking at a blank screen, wondering why the passthrough isn't working, even tried rebooting the thing a few times, but it just seems to be a case of waiting for it to figure itself out.

I did look at the Elgato too, it has everything you could want out of a PVR, does everything that the Hauppauge can do. But the main reason I didn't go for it is that it didn't have the one button press recording that the Hauppauge does.

  3. Having a bit of trouble. I got my new Nexus 7 today and it doesn't want to let me post here... I've tried 4 different browsers on it, one won't let me sign in, one will but I press the text box at the bottom of the page and nothing happens, and the other 2 the keyboard comes up and then just drops down again.

    Any advice?

  4. Ooh, forgot about this, I fractured my spine doing high jump in middle school. Pretty annoying too considering I was 1 of 3 of us who held the school height record.

Ended up just stuck in bed for weeks and weeks till I could walk properly again. Even now I can't stand up or sit in a car for too long before feeling an ache from it.

Tbh though, it didn't hurt as much as the other 2 things I posted :p

  5. Went down a rather steep hill on a skateboard when I was around 14, it ended up wobbling like crazy and I came off. Ripped up my arms, legs, face, chest, and broke my arm lol. I ended up skating again a week later and broke the cast in two :p

Second worse would be having my stomach impaled on a pool cue and breaking my ankle at the same time.

    Otherwise I've been pretty lucky!

  6. Exactly, that way the driver has protection from any tires/debris, but if they roll there should still be enough space for them to squeeze out.

As  for something hitting it, they've got that covered ;) They just need to make them out of the material in the second part of the test below
