@RevolvingPrawn‌ you've pretty much convinced me with your last statement. Don't suppose there is a demo you can grab for the first one? Also, any idea if you can play the first two on Steam and then transfer the save for origin to use?
Good! You won't regret it man. Another way to put it, I remember a large majority of the Mass Effect characters, and I can remember what each of them did or didn't do and how I interacted with each of them. With Assassin's Creed, I can remember the gist of the storylines, and I've only actually managed to finish a full AC game once. Mass Effect, I've played each game multiple times over to see how if I choose a different path, or say something completely, it'll effect whatever happens next :)

Not that I know of, but Mass Effect 2 does have a demo :) It was playing that that first got me into ME. It should be just about spoiler free, and it'll give you a small glimpse into how it works.

As for the save files, I'm not sure at all bud. I'd guess it'd work, but @sjsharp2010 might know better than me. I did all of my numerous playthroughs on the 360 :p

  2. I'm with @sjsharp2010.

AC is ok, but it is just a game that puts you through a story.
The Mass Effect series gives you choices, and those choices can effect massive things. Like there's a choice in the first game that influences things in the 3rd game. And depending on what you choose to say in the second game can completely change who dies and who lives.

You need a game to get your teeth into @Herby007? Mass Effect will give you an experience, Assassin's Creed will give you a story.

  3. Just bought these:- Madcatz FREQ 7

    For £60.

But wait. They come with a free Mouse too, the RAT 5.

Which actually cost more than the headset on the site. Sell it on ebay for £40, and that means I just got a £70/80 set of headphones (Originally costing well over £100 at release) for 20 odd quid.

    Bargain.

    Anyone interested, https://www.dabs.com/products/mad-catz-f-r-e-q--7-surround-sound-gaming-headset-for-pc---gloss-black-91LQ.html?src=2

No idea how long the offer will last.
Nice! Just put my order in too :D Thanks for posting this bud!

  4. Main gripes with the game so far:
    Driving feels crap.
    Screen can become overly cluttered.
    Solutions:
Ride motorbikes instead of driving cars.
Turn off the phone when you don't need it by pressing square

    :p
    Motorbikes aren't really my thing.

And I've come up with a new complaint. Lightposts and traffic lights that have no weight to them, bounce around and are just plain brittle. I just saw a woman who snapped a pole by walking through it. I know it's such an insignificant thing, but those little details make the game that much better.
Makes getting around a lot easier, even if bikes aren't your thing :p

Yea, it is a little bit strange with stuff like that, but if they didn't break and you smashed into them and stopped all the time it'd be more annoying ;)

  5. I've always liked Renault, but this season has definitely not started well for them. They'll probably get it sorted eventually, but how long it takes them to do it is the thing.

Yep, no chance of Merc supplying them engines lol, and neither Ferrari or Honda (at least for 2015) will either. So they're kinda stuck.

Another advantage to them making their own engine, they could sell it to other teams too and make some money back from it :)

  6. If they went with VW engine though, then they'd have to redesign the whole rear of the car to fit a different engine in. Each manufacturer will do the engine their own way, so it wouldn't be a case of throwing out the Renault engine and strapping in a VW. Plus the weight could be distributed completely differently to the Renault and give them even further problems.
If they made their own engine though, they could design it in a way to fit with the car perfectly, they could distribute the weight in the way that's best for them, and have more control over the upgrades which they're lacking this year.

Sure, it'd be expensive and it'd be a risk, but Red Bull are pretty well known for combining those two things before now :)

  7. That. Sounds. Awesome. Can't wait for my copy to arrive.
A few other things to make your wait harder:

You can go into the media player on the phone and make a custom that plays when you get into a car.
There's a side game called Spider Tank where you control a large mechanized spider that has a minigun and rocket launcher mounted on it.
If you hear a song playing in say a shop or from someones car, you can use an app called song sneak to find out the song title and artist. You can also hack random songs from people on the street for adding to your own playlist.
There's a slowdown time thing called Focus, makes gunfights and cop chases very interesting!
    You can play chess.
You can hack money from random AI's bank accounts, the best places being Mad Mile and The Loop for richer people ;)

And there's tons more but you'll find out for yourself!
Theres not many good songs to create a custom playlist lol
There is if you like rock and punk rock :p Also, as I said, you hack more songs as you play.
Only name i know is Alice Cooper.
Only names I knew were Alice Cooper and Alkaline Trio, but all it takes is listening to the other songs to find out if you like them ;) Got about 15-20 songs on mine yet I don't really know who any of the artists actually are.

  8. That. Sounds. Awesome. Can't wait for my copy to arrive.

Canceled my Watch_Dogs preorder and put that money towards Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition on PS4.
Bad mistake there Watch dogs in one of the better games out on the PS4
The more I saw of WD, the less interested I became. Just reminded me too much of GTA 5 and I was really disappointed with that game.
Tbh dude, it has got elements of GTA V, and you can tell with a few things that they did it because it worked in GTA V. But WD does have enough of its own feel to make you forget the similarities.
The whole hacking mindset of the game gives you different ways to approach any situation. Like say you need to get inside a certain building, you can go in guns blazing, lure guards and other AI characters out of the way and take them out quietly, or you could just hack the cameras to see what you need. Hell, you could even just cut the power and run in while the lights are out :)

So yea, it's a bit like GTA V, but it does its own thing, and it does it well I'd say!

  11. @Justbiglee Looks like Blackmamba is back again with another account - @vettel4xWDC.

Either that or Winestauto now supports Vettel. He'll be claiming that he's best friends with him next ;)

@Vettelfan Can I choose the Hamilton picture? :p

I think it'd be awesome if CM took a year off and made a game that was F1 career challenge 2009-2015.

This would take a while, but they already have 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 cars done, along with all the additional features like helmets and tracks. This would make me want to do the whole career. And you'd get teams coming and going from 2009-2010, so that'd be awesome.

Another nice feature would be drivers changing teams, it would keep it interesting. I'd like to see the podium, that'd be cool, especially in 1st person. I'd like to hear the crowd a bit more. At the British GP there is always tons of noise when Hamilton or Button pass by, this should be reflected in game for the drivers at their home tracks. If I am Alonso at spain, I want to hear the crowd a bit more, especially in 2014 with quieter engines.

Hearing news and gossip in between races would be nice (The calender system FIFA uses could be used to do this), you could have statements from teams about certain topics, Pirelli could release the tyres to be used. Opinions on things from Legends in game or experts.
A bit of commentary before the sessions begin and after they end pointing out certain results etc.

It is hard to get immersed in the game because there is very little immersing stuff. Right now it is Do this race, then do that race, then that race with nothing in between, no news, no gossip, no nothing. Driver interviews post race would be cool to have back,

There is so much they could do with these games, and then online needs doing too, that needs a new mode to keep people playing.

I know some people are saying they want FP1 and FP2 and honestly for me I don't care about either of them, I generally skip them and only do FP3 for upgrades and a little practice anyway. I want more than minor additions.
I like all of these ideas apart from taking a year off :p Most of the drivers (me included) in the league I'm in were sick of 2013 close to the end of the first season we did on it. We're 6 races into the second and last season we'll be doing on it now, and I honestly couldn't put up with it for another year a half if they skipped 2014.
The driving is solid and feels better than any of their previous F1 games, but the bugs and glitches just make it so massively frustrating and horrible to race online.

And the only other thing I'll comment on is the practice sessions. I don't care about having three sessions, but if we have 1 then I'd like it to be an hour and a half rather than the hour it currently is. It normally takes me about 50 mins to get most of a setup sorted, then I wanna do a couple of quali sims and a long run to test tyre wear and handling as the fuel burns off.
Only I have to restart the session, reload my setup, and then go onto a track that's lost the rubbered in racing line that it had before. It's not a massive issue, but it is kind of annoying.

Career needs a major revamp. It is getting stale, I played it tons on 2010, a little less on 2011, a bit less again on 2012 and now, done 1 and a bit seasons on 2013.
Exactly the same for me. I did 14 seasons on 2010, 4 or 5 on 2011, 2 and a bit on 2012, and only 3 career races on 2013. It needs a major change imo.

  14. This is unofficial, but I've read that Rosberg brake-tested Wehrlein, and Wehrlein had to avoid smashing into him. Hence why he crashed with these people.

Please note, it's unofficial. If true - shocking. If not true - doesn't make it any better for the injured ones.

Very strange, I thought he'd only use those kind of tactics on Hamilton.

  15. Don't know whether your Watchdogs has arrived yet @Revolvingprawn  but my copy arrived today haven'yt tried it yet though but I'llget round to at least installing it today even if I don't play it. :D
Won't find out till I'm home from work :p Probably won't get to play much of it tonight anyway though, got a league race on F1 2013 and some other bits to sort after that. Might get an hour in before I gotta go to bed lol.
doubt you'll get to play it at all at the moment I can't activate mine it seems that the uplay servers aer experiencing technical malfunctions and can't activate our games I've installed it I just can't activate it  :(
I bought it for Xbox One, it's working fine :p

  16. Tell you what though, Goat Simulator is pretty hefty on the system! My laptop can play F1 2013 with a mix of medium and high graphics at a solid 50 FPS. Goat Simulator on a mix of low and medium settings was giving me about 15 FPS at times :p

Either it's hefty, or just really badly optimised... Probably that ;)
