Haas have released a couple of videos of Grosjean lapping Barcelona and I have to say, the car sounds a lot louder than the ones did last year.
No link to the videos? :p What sort of motorsport journo are you? ;)

Speaking of videos, Ferrari stickering up their car. The more I look at it, the better looking it gets. The packaging at the rear is just awesome :)

  2. Definitely comes across to me as a fairly average livery. It's not ugly, but it's not good looking either. It's the kind of thing where say you were playing on Forza and decided to do a paint job on the Lotus F1 car in the game, you'd get halfway through before realising it's just not working and then you'd just chuck some shapes on there and call it done. Ta daaah, Haas F1 livery just made on Forza.

Cool video from Merc from a pretty sweet helmet cam.

Haha yea I get you on that. Tbh, most of the time I'm either listening to the radio or the GotG soundtrack. All those goofy features and I don't really use em :p

I've had a look at those deals before with the black boxes, I actually found normal insurance that would have been cheaper for me without the black box :p Really though, it's kinda good I guess because it'll keep you from the bad habits you can get into lol. Putting your foot down now and then can be fun, but on normal roads you really don't need to anyway. Only time I've found it's useful is going up steep parts of motorway :p

Haha yep, been in that situation a bunch of times. Last time it happened I was doing 60 on a road where the limit really shouldn't be 60, when some douche comes flying up behind me, doesn't bother to slow down just goes straight for the overtake, doesn't seem to care that there's a blind corner right up ahead, and goes right past doing probably close to 90. I slowed down as soon as he was on the wrong side, no way I wanna get involved in any potential wreck an idiot like that causes! I end up right on his bumper about 8 miles later when he's pulling into a car park haha. The thing that made me furious with him was seeing a baby strapped in the back of his car. I feel sorry for his kid if their dad is willing to take such magnificently stupid risks with his childs life.

Yeah it is actually pretty handy having one for now, I'm not tempted at all to break any limits or anything, just because I know it'll raise up the price.

But yeah, bloody annoying, and that infuriates me with kids in the back. It's better to get somewhere a couple of minutes later and in one piece than to not get there at all and with potential injuries.

Fortunately, all my best mates drive very sensibly and I feel very relaxed when they're driving me about (although I do prefer it when I drive, just because I trust my own ability :p), but the worst is one of their Dad's. I am seriously bricking it when I'm in a car with him. It's weird, because he drives quite slowly around corners, but if there's a long straight bit then you know he's gonna be moving along at quite a rate.

When I go to the pub with my mates he sometimes picks us up, and on the way is this 50mph straight road (where might I add, many people have been killed in the past), but he usually reaches about 80mph. It's bloody terrifying, and my mate will usually say to him 'oh come on Dad, you don't need to do this'.

I specifically try and sit in the seat behind him, so I can't see the speedo. When I can see it my eyes are glued to it, but I'd rather just sit there and deal with it :p
The thing that annoyed me most was he didn't get to his destination any quicker, I had to sit behind him giving him evils while he was waiting for a gap in the oncoming traffic to turn into the car park lol. He's not the biggest idiot I've experienced on the road, but he's definitely the worst father!

Hah! You're lucky then dude, my best mate drives a Ford Ka that would be more at home in a scrapyard than on the road. The trouble is that because he doesn't really care about the car he absolutely rags it, and sitting in his passenger seat can often be a not so fun experience!

Haha, I know how you feel on that one dude, one of my old mates was a boy racer type with a Ford Escort, he picked me up from a night club a few years ago and on that same stretch of road I mentioned yesterday, the 60mph road, he got up to 120 lol. I was drunk so to me it was hilarious, but yea, I look back now and think it was pretty damn stupid lol.

  6. It's super useful dude :) Being able to plug in a USB stick with my entire music collection on it, sat nav built in, DAB radio, a touch pad for moving the map/finger typing post codes, bluetooth for phone calls/playing music from my phone. I'ts ridiculous lol. My favourite thing has to be cruise control though.

You ever felt that temptation to actually brake really hard for a moment and then drop a gear to speed away again when you are being followed too closely? :p I've never done it but I'd love to if I though whoever was behind me wouldn't then be even more of a douche lol.

Definitely noticed that! We call my grandma's braking kangaroo braking haha, she'll stomp, lift, stomp, lift, stomp, lift... and then stomp again to come to a halt lol. It's super annoying! Personally I tend to lift and coast for a little bit (bloody F1 lol) before braking gradually harder depending on my speed. I do remember doing the emergency stop when I was learning to drive though, so jarring how powerful the brakes really are but so much fun doing it lol.

Prawn, you drive a Mini too? I had no idea!

My dad has an Audi but I can genuinely say he doesn't fit the stereotype, he's probably the best driver I know. However, other Audi's, completely agree, they're right up my back bumper.
I drive a Mini, but it isn't mine :p I don't have my own car at the moment, but my mum is pretty cool about letting me borrow her car. She works term times (school receptionist) so when there's a half term like there is now, the car is mine :)

It's an awesome car though, really nice to drive and the whole dashboard iDrive system thing is ridiculously useful!

My dad drives an Audi too lol, and while he's mostly a decent driver, he does have a bit of a habit of cutting people up on roads with multiple lanes ;)

  8. Do people who drive Audi's get to take a different test from everybody else? Do they get taught that when they come to an obstruction in the road, and there's oncoming traffic, that they have right of way and that the oncoming traffic will see those 4 special rings on the front of their car and decide that those rings are so dazzling that they should stop, because the oh so special Audi driver is coming through, and woe betide any person who makes him stop on his holy mission.

Mother of god :o Soon that ass is going to take over the whole world and generate its own gravity, it then sucks in the sun, she does a massive fart and Big Bang V2 happens......
Maybe that's how the universe began in the first place, and what comes next is the big squeeze. Where everything stops expanding and starts to rush back toward the centre... We're all gonna end up being squeezed to death between Kim Lardassian's butt cheeks.

I was so excited to see what the 2017 cars were supposed to look like.  Now I've just read that they are going ahead with the halo device over the cockpit.  It's going to ruin the look of the cars imo.
This (http://imgur.com/a/DF5Ra) is the kind of thing that'd look amazing to me. I've been back and looked at it multiple times today :p The guy who's created it has done a brilliant job!
