  1. The repairs sometimes act weird. Like, after an event I repair the car fully, but at the start of the next event it still has some damage. On top of that, the cracked windshield on my Fiesta OMSE is not getting repaired whatever I try.

    Next patch?

So AI times doesn't need a fix? Even for H2 FWD and R2? Or AI times are not a feature?
  3. BloodCat

    Next patch?

And what about the list of fixes?
  4. BloodCat

    Next patch?

This doesn't mean there would ever be a patch, either.

    Next patch?

So, they actually do read the forums? Fascinating. And instead of addressing hot topics and glaring issues, they hunt for foul language... The next patch is probably a matter of 'if', not 'when'. Don't you see D4 silhouette rising over the horizon?

DR 2.0 - One Month Later

You're quick to jump to accusations, eh? Well I highly doubt that Codemasters are big enough to have completely separate dev teams for various projects; for example, 3D-modellers, artists, etc. can very well be shared among different projects, physics coders can share the load too. For the second time: care to share such a way? Of course, it should not only be 'mannered', but effective. The role of community manager is to sway community mood in the way directed by that 'manager' superiors. And that requires at least, you know, communication with the community, isn't it? And communication is something a bit bigger then reposting patchnotes.

And what way would that be, exactly? My point, in that matter, being the devs silence considering the bugs, at least. Even with D4 there was some communication -- DiRT shows, roadbooks, forum posts... until that came to pure lies and eventual silence. But for DR2 almost all meaningful communication went down heavily right after the release. Isn't it possible that only the skeleton crew is left to finish the DLCs (which must be heavily underway) and all the others have been switched to, say, F1 2019?..

And the community 'manager' makes some great work staying under the radar. Hey @ChristinaMc, how about SOME info about current state of affairs with DR2, or at least about bugs getting acknowledged? Or is it another DiRT 4 plan coming into action?

AFAIR DR1 was a pure experiment, so it's sales were actually good considering all the uncertainty. Don't have any proof to back that up, though, and I would really like to know how DR1, D4 and DR2 turned out financially. Considering all the quirks in physics -- it must be god's, nature doesn't make such strange systems.

    DiRTy Gossip

I think the camber changes combined with bumps make Australia more difficult. Normally I feel OK grip there, and then bang! -- I'm flying outta a harmless left 4.

DiRT 4 was a numbered chapter, so it was supposed to sell better. Also, it relied on DR1 fame, unlike DR2 which has a foundation of D4 infamy. And we had JustBigLee as the proper community manager back then, not the current... one.

On clear ice modern studless tires work better. Counter-intuitive, I know, but here in Russia there're plenty of opportunities to test them, sadly. Studs shine on mixed surfaces and ice+mud+water goo by letting you actually dig through to something solid.

I'd really like to run MC on studs for a change.

I'd prefer to be able to up co-drivers voice to 150 instead.
