visuals [GRID 2019] Graphics Discussion - Why exactly it looks #LikeNoOther

Yes, as I stated days ago, TAA is the problem with soft Tree graphics. ps: don't listen to Jesped. He has no idea what he's talking about. -

Chromatic Aberration? I believe it's actually called Chromatic Abortion. -

You seem like someone who knows a little about what they're talking about. Obviously then, you know that almost all games use a combination of cube maps and SSR. Barely any race games rely entirely on SSR. Grid uses a cubemap/SSR combination. Yes, those cube maps could better designed to fit into the world but that's an artistic issue and not a graphical limitation. -

I don't see the issues? Honestly, it's a fine looking game. -

And half refresh mirrors too, lmao. -
Yeah, this has stopped me playing it. Disabling USB devices does fix the issue, but I CBF'd doing that each time.

Umm, erratic frame pacing (even just 5ms here and there) is noticeable to most people. These stutters are probably in excess of 50ms or even 100ms, it renders the game almost unplayable.
-
Hah, I wish. It's just too much effort to set the wheel up only to be second guessing this game each time. If I had a dedicated setup for race games I would always be back.
-
I've decided this morning that I'm out. Too many bugs in this game to continue trying to invest time into it. I'm sick of the OSD disappearing from the interior views (which are still linked to odd FFB bugs), I'm sick of the constant stuttering (which began when I changed from a G920 to a G29 - like, WTH Codies? What are you doing?). I'm also sick of Racenet delaying menu load times by 10 seconds each time. It's just too much effort, half the battle with this game is sorting out technical issues. I might be back for Dirt 3.0, but I doubt it. Will probably buy F1 2019 though.

No fear in Sweden? My palms are sweating even when it's 5 left, into 6 right, into 6 left lmao.

What does the co-driver mean when he says stuff like "100 crest". Does he mean in 100m there is a crest?
-
I think Codies create problems when they needn't be. They need to look up the acronym for KISS and just provide a game with a simple but enjoyable driving model. I know games have increased in complexity considerably since Colin McRae and the original TOCA series, but if Codies could provide enjoyable real life based arcade games why can't they do it in 2014?
-
I don't believe that's the case for 2014. Correct me if I'm wrong though, but any kind of control over ERS is removed from the driver.
-
To buy or not to buy ........that is the question.

Not really interested in this one. Bought '11, '12 & '13 and each one of them has been underwhelming and honestly, felt like the same game. The annoying physic assists the permeate modern Codies racing games are there in full force, making the cars feel very strange, even with a wheel. The large amount of bugs and basic glitches, that should be have been ironed out during the beta, yet continue to exist for months or throughout the products' life, is terrible and a real poor reflection on Codies. -
Codemasters have always, as far as I'm aware, advertised this 2014 version as "the most accessible Formula 1 video game yet". In other words, the easiest F1 game. The previous games were more arcade than sim and this 2014 release is even less focused on simulation.
