  1. Mine does something similar - driver looks up until the lights go out. I've unbinded all keys below the driving keys, but it is still happening. Looks like the game can't ignore some defaults or something.

    F2 Difficulty too easy?

AI are very easy at Austria this year. Haven't tried Barcelona yet, but I bet many people here would be competitive at 110 AI at Austria who would normally have a good match at around 102-104 at other tracks.

Is any part of this game actually working?

Early access was version 1.01 - we're on 1.03 now. Beta version numbers start with 0.

    Olav mol, Dutch commentary

Never seen Ziggo or heard of it as it's probably European only so we don't have it here, but I've watched the 90's races where John Watson had to contain himself like a dozen times a race not to call Mol something he shouldn't.

    Olav mol, Dutch commentary

678KM straight??? You would think him being a long-time F1 commentator he would've pointed the obvious mistake on his script out right away.

F1 2019 no HUD in cockpit camera

I don't wanna rain on your rant parade, but the HUD is most definitely available in cockpit view.

Too much arcade physics this year

It was in hotlap mode, which makes sense - combined with the fact that sim times tend to be faster as there is no risk attached.
  13. Is this a joke? If it happens when there are still 60 laps to go and you're losing 0.3 seconds per lap - which is the case with the highest damage that you can get that didn't get repaired - you will lose 18 seconds over that time, which in F1 can be many places. But I guess it is assumed that everybody just plays the kiddie arcade mode 25/50% races, where it's not such a big impact.

What? At this stage it's still going ahead, and if not, they are looking at postponing it. Keep your pants on.

    F1 2019 Mic Not working

I've uninstalled the game a while ago now, but when I commented, it was the latest version as per Steam. EDIT: LankyBouwie summed it up in his reply - it either worked from the start of opening the game, or it didn't - it never stopped working in the middle of a session. Like he said, sometimes it worked after the 3rd or 4th closing/opening of the game, even if I had only one communication device. But if I were you, I'd concentrate on the rest of the game - this seems like a fairly minor issue compared to all the other issues.

    Camber 😕🔫 ?

The setting is in degrees, so the closer it is to 0, the flatter it is.

Why persist with the contract system?

That's the least of the bad design choices in career mode.

    18.2 crashes right away.

What is your CPU model number? You only state the speed. Model number would be something like i9-7920X. It would help in identifying the issue.

    New Developer Liaison

    My condolences.
  21. In real life, it's a rolling target - depends on how the stewards feel during any given week. It's not nearly as rigid as the game. Normally, track limits get ignored and every laptime counts, so a fastest lap will count regardless of whether the driver ran 2 metres wide or not. Occasionally, like at COTA a few weeks ago, they develop a sudden urge to delete laptimes and a fastest lap gets invalidated if deemed inappropriate, and it doesn't even show in official records, hence that fastest lap is different than in the game, where the lap still shows. So we're not comparing apples to apples here at all.
  22. Agreed. I get that you should allow anyone to play how they like, especially Youtubers as the presentation is much more important there than playing with realistic settings. Heck, they can put ABS and TC on full blast for all I care, as long as it's entertaining. But the official eSports series with the best drivers around (not denying that at all) playing with T-cam looks amateurish at best. When I was doing FSR in rF1/2 - always locked to cockpit cam only, with only minimal seat adjustments allowed - it was always amusing when new teammates joined from AOR or whatever Codies league, and they kept whining for weeks on end about not being able to get used to cockpit cam. Eventually, as they got used to the more simulation-orientated approach of the league, it started to make sense to them - they got that it was supposed to mimic real life as closely as possible, including the view. I get that AOR etc. can run whatever cameras they want as it's a private league. But the pro's should be forced to run everything as close to reality as they are able to. But perhaps it's again the case of the ol' spaghetti code not allowing it to be coded in easily.
  23. There was a devcheck for F1 2018 on June 20th. Are you expecting them to release a patch for that anytime soon as well?

F1 game research, your voice matters!

First time I've uninstalled an F1 game before the actual F1 season ended - I know it came out earlier, but I still had F1 2018 installed in April this year, so 4 months longer than F1 2019. It's not that it's extremely buggy for me - I mean it has bugs, but I could live with it - but, if I could sum it up in a few words, it feels lifeless, stale, dull, boring. And that includes the FFB.
